"OK, one question at a time then it will be. Can you elaborate on what you are or were in relation to federal institute. As such as federal agents are you publicly known or do you keep your identity secrets. I mean I see most people here know each other in one way, shape or form so am curious about that as well."

She looks around and realized Angel is there as well.

"Sorry Angel, I guess you might have some questions as well, and here I am not giving you a chance to do so!"

Deci then waits for the either Angel or MacColter to respond.

" I'm sure something could be arranged, Miss Winters," said an older man coming into the room, who Angel recognized as Dylin MacColter," Hello angel. never expected to grace my presence again. Tire of the mercenary scene?" He grinned, but there was no mistaking the sarcasm.

“Oh, the man of the hour shows up, finally.” Angels says, dropping her hand. “Apparently the Merc-scene isn't working out for me after all. Too many idiots that want me to do stupid things. Judging from what i've seen so far, you aren't doing too hot yourself.”

She shakes her head as MacColter explains this group federal status being up in the air. “What kind of mess did you get yourself into now, Mac?”

*is currently busy in the kitchen. stretching the chili out and making it less hot with the addition of veggies, both fresh and canned. leaving it to heat, she makes up a couple of salads and then dumps the last 2 bags of tortilla chips into a bowl .. aqnd settles it on the table. cookies and lemon cake thaw on the counter for dessert later.

" Not at all. I'll just lay off the spin kicks." Tyler replied smirking, watching Tom mimic him. " But what happens when you copy someone without any training?"

Ashley stared at him for a moment " I agreed to put my life in harm's way long before I met you, Isamu. Please don't use me as an excuse to second guess your ability to lead. We need both you and Alice because you don't let us rush headlong into things like we have with Tyler and Jason." She smiled and then kissed him," I bet Jason and Alice have had this same talk."

" We were the NSCA, but the powers that be decided that was it was time for change. I should know more soon. I get the impression that the disaster with the Atlanta and Seattle teams, Washington may want to keep a lower profile in it's involvement." Dylin explained. " I have to get back to the phone, but I do hope all three of you ladies," he looked at Sasha as he said it," will consider staying and joining us, whatever we end up being called." He left without waiting for anymore questions.

Avi sniffed the air, " smells like Sierra has food ready to go. Any one hungry?"

Switching to English, "I understand what you are saying. However it is still difficult to have this responsibility. I never wanted it. Today I wanted to quit. Especially with what MacCoulter did to Tom."

He takes Ashley's hand and pulls her along as he walks up the beach and further away from the beach house.

"The situation with us and the Mayor's people is very dangerous. Today it became obvious they do not care who we work for. They will press their agenda regardless. I think we need to figure out what that agenda is."

Tom stops, and shrugs. "I don't know for sure. I seem to have some basic combat training no matter what, so I think I'd just default to that. So, any idea how things are going on inside? Seems like you brought some new people in with you."

Angel watches as MacCoulter head off for his phone calls. Angel sits back in her chair. The chair replies in kind by creaking, dangerously indicating that it could come apart at any moment.

"Aiya... I hope Atlanta and Seattle are the total effectiveness of these kinds of groups. I mean the kid supergroups are the in thing these days, but I don't know about here. Granted I'm a little out of the loop here."

Angel mostly says this for the benefit for Sasha and Deci who are there with her. She needed to work through her thoughts about today events and talking usually help out. Besides she want to get to know the other seeing as they were there at the table.

"By the way, i'm Sara..."

Knowing that angel probably said that name more for the benefit of that Sasha person she has not met yet she, she could not help but make a comment still. "Sara? Your real name is Sara?? That makes you sound so soft and nice even." With a pause "I am kidding of course. Well Sara it is good to make you acquaintance." After hearing the food announcement "Man Sara you know how much I miss being able to eat food."

Then turning to Sasha "And my name is December but most people call me Deci."

" Watch your mouth about the Atlanta team." Avi warned, glaring past Sasha to Angel " Those were my friends, and Ryne upstairs was the team leader." With that, Dmitri, Janie and Kristian slipped out of the conference room, leaving Avi alone with the three newcomers. Brittney and Trevor had already slipped out when no one was looking

Kristian was the first to enter the kitchen with sierra. when he thought she wasn't looking, he snitched a fingerfull of lemoncake icing and licked it. " I'm gonna get fat off your cooking." he grinned. " Where's that mouth guard thing you have? That new girl Deci might need one, I think she can outtalk you."

Ashley dragged her toes in the sand as they walked," I don';t understand how the city can hire Wraith and his goons. They make all of our kind look bad. unless, .. do you think thats his plan? To turn people against metas?"

" Wraith's goons got the drop on Trevor and Brittney." Tyler explained. " Deci, the one who asks all the questions, stepped in and helped out before I could get there. Angel, the other one we brought, worked for MacColter before back when I was still with the company. Wraith had hired her, but she seems to have realized he was playing her." He shook his head," Too bad she had shot Trevor first. So the other newbie," he smirked," is that the chick that Jason told me Avi has lost his brain because of?"

"Are Trevor and Brittney...?" Tom looks almost afraid to ask. "And I really don't know, all I know is she helped us from having to take down a SWAT team."

Deci decides to get up and follow the rest of them into the kitchen. If for nothing to meet everyone and for the moment decides to keep her mouth shut and just listen! It is hard for her but she will manage.

"It is possible. The mayor seems to want to remove people like us from the area. However Alice had trouble probing his mind when we were at city hall. Perhaps he too is more than human. He seemed to be surrounding himself with meta's and the like."

Isamu pauses for a moment and looks down. He picks up a sea shell and passes it to Ashley.

"Whatever is happening, it is more sinister than mere politics. Who do you think those people with Tyler were?"

" I had to heal them some, but they're okay." Tyler reassured. " anyone that helps avoid a fight is a good start by me." subtly, he altered his technique again. In the process, Tyler was showing he was a fairly accomplished martial artist.

" besides Trev and his girlfriend? No idea." Ashley replied with a shrug as she looked at the shell. " If that's the case, we need a way to get inside city hall to figure this out. I can't see the mayor being one of us. He's made it too clear that metas are to be gotten rid of or used to his advantage."

"Who better to use us, than one of us. I do not think he would want someone around more powerful than himself. Perhaps he is not even in control, and something or someone else is using him. Look at the power the professor and people like him have. There are so many uncertainties."
