"Of course." Says the person on the other end. "Just come back to the precinct, and ask at the visitor's desk. They should take you to a claims room. There, and officer will explain what was done, and have a sheet ready to sign off on it. Are there any questions before I let you go?"

After signing in, Kndall is escorted (it is a police station), politely down to the claims area. When his turn came, the officer in charge lifted out his computer. "Alright, Mr... Kendall." He says, reviewing the sheet. "Looks like all we did was a clone of the data. Says here there was probable cause, but charges aren't laid, so it's not considered evidence. Which means, you get it back as we got it." He hands the clip-board to Kendall. "This is the waiver saying we gave it to you the way we got it. You can check the laptop first to make surejust to the side there, if you could."

Kendall finds out they weren't lieing. THere were some fingerprints of the clone left behind, but nothing was missing. There was a file from the clone's virus scan pointing out a couple of trojans, but nothing was done to the files.
Kendall stares at the phone in confusion. 'Why would Dorsett want to meet me alone on a bridge.'
Kendall gets dressed and heads down to the bridge he uses his telescopic eye, and amplified hearing to sweep the area to see if anyone was around. Once he spots Dorsett he walks up to him making sure to turn on his motion detector as he does so.
"How about we start with what the hell is going on man? I ask a few questions and get hauled to the police station. My one lead on the favor I'm doing for you turns out to be a kid that knows nothing at all, especially about bionics. Then your lawyer shows up and basically tells me to watch what I say about your company. Then I call you today and you act like I have the swine flu. What did you get me involved in man?"
