Issue 1A: Helicarrier Down

Cal looks around nervously as she begins helping people to their feet scanning each of the members for a useful power to help save as many people as possible.

Looking around Gambit says. "You know, it is weird we haven't even seen signs of Hulk activity. Also, the Sleazoids and zombies make references to meeting their mistress. Did any of the teams find out where that would have been?"

"I too am in for the mission. Wherever X-eee goes I will follow." Aura states. "Besides X-eee is the only person I know so I think following her would be the best course of action!"

" This is the beach head for the invasion." Tabitha spoke up. " I understand now why this mission was so important to send us here too. I'm game for a walk upstairs. Creed, you better stay here and protect Blink in case anything happens, and then once these folks are clear, find Fury and get his group out too. Then the two of you can catch up with us. Besides, we've got the General's daughter to provide claw support." She motioned toward Laura as she made the strange reference.

Creed snarled a little about being left out of the fight, but nodded and looked at Blink with a smirk, " Babysitting you again, kiddo." He looked to Cap," Don't forget your buddy with the arrows is still loose too."

Colossus looked at Gambit," They have to be referring to their queen. If we can destroy her, the colony will die out." He motioned towards Ghostsabre, who was intentionally ignore both Kitty and Piotr. He lowered his voice so only Gambit could hear. " Who is she? Her resemblance to Kitty is uncanny."

Cap looks over his team, then looks to Sabretooth. "I haven't forgotten." He turns to the others. "As soon as everyone is ready, let's move out." Steve turns over his comm system to Colossus. "Contact Fury and let him know what's happening."

"Someone has too. and since you taught me how to fight. we make a good team..Just ask Apocalypse and Holocaust..." she smirked with a sense pride as she opens a portal, "move fast not sure how long this portal will stay open." Blink added.

X-23 lets the General's daughter thing slide for the moment but will keep it in mind for later.

“when we first arrived the things we ran into wanted to take us to there queen, perhaps we can use this to our advantage, if one of use goes with them the others can follow behind.” she pauses “not to mention well all must understand by now that these things cannot make it off this carrier”

"Yes Aura a great plan, me verses an alien invasion" X-23 shake she head wishing her friend had a little more of a head for tactics

Gambit pats Colossus on the back. "I'll tell you when you grow up." To Tabitha and CA, he says "You're thinking too human. Think like an insect. Will the brood have their queen exposed on the command deck when there's so many interior rooms and floors she could hole up in?"

Gabrielle grins as she says "Or watch the Alien movies. They'd have lots of tips for where the queen lair would be ." Gabrielle taps her chin lightly as she muses "If I were an alien insect queen, where would I be?"

Cal begins helping to move people that are to injured to move themselves and doing as the others direct keeping an active eye open for anything "not friendly."

Captain America smiles at Gabby's comment. "I'm afraid I've never seen those movies." He looks to Gambit and X-23. "Agreed. Perhaps I would make the best 'bait' - I'm the one with the most tactical knowledge, and I've been told by others that my uniform may not be particularly suited towards stealth, though it hasn't hindered me in the past."

" The queen will be somewheres deep in the hull and easy to protect." Henry spoke up. " and crawling with her minions to protect her."

" Great, so we have two priorities. The Queen and the Hulk, if he's still here." Tabitha said.

" Oh, he's still here. Caught a sniff of him from up the elevator shaft." Creed piped up. " Why can't the queen just go up with the self destruct?"

A new voice joined the conversation," the problem with that is that the self destruct has been damaged, I can't set it." Nick Fury said as he led two dozen towards the other SHIELD people. Those that weren't hurt helped those that were. " I need to set it manually."

" I can do that, Colonel." Kitty spoke up. " If I use my powers, I can get there in no time."

Both Colossus and Tabitha got the same scared look about the suggestion.

"I take it we can't simply 'port Fury there. Then once its set port him out?" Blink nodded as she maintained the portal.
