The Transport touched down about and hour or so later. when the massive bay doors opened, they were inside a large hangar, presumably underground judging by the artificial light. A deck officer ushered them out of the Death's Head so it could be readied for it's next sortie.
Outside, in the hangar. It proved to be much larger than it originally appeared. Thre more Death Heads and a pair of Deathbringers sat in a row, with room for a couple more. Dozens of Mark V's and Mark IX EPCs lined the other side of the of hangar, with a few tanks mixed in. Enforcer robots stood guard at regular intervals. " Where are we? Lone Star?"
" Nope, too small." Rhys answered, pointing towards a hatch in the roof with six Sky Sweeper anti aircraft tanks positioned beneath it. " I'd say we just stepped through Fort Grigg's looking glass."
A corporal soon approached and saluted. " Luietenant, if you and your squad would come with me." He doesn't wait for a response as he about faces and heads to an elevator. Once everyone was aboard, he took it down two floors where it opened to a long corridor beyond a guardpost/reception area. He led them halfway down the corridor and opened a door into a conference room. " The Colonel will be with you shortly." He said as he closed the door behind them and left them.
" I guess Shep gets to skip this." Dyson muttered as he took a seat.

"He's probably busy making kissy faces with more D-bees, or something." Mariana muses, finding a seat. Though, she doesn't sound very convinced at the possibility. "Or, maybe he's... " She trails off, seeing Sam, and decides it's better not to continue on that track. Putting her feet up on the conference table, she stretches out for a catnap. "Yeah. This isn't Lone Star. These are nicer tables." She says, confirming Rhys.

Sam quietly follows the corporal to the meeting room, and after sitting down, looks around. Realizing Mar and Rhys were right about it not being Lone Star, she wonders where they are and what new the Coloel will be giving them. (tag)

After a few minutes, the back door to the conference room opened and Colonel Wallace walked in, looking more annoyed about something when he dropped the file he was reading on the table. with a groan, he glared at Mar, then her feet, then back at her before beginning. " I know you all want some answers, and a chance to grab some chow and a shower, so lets get this over with. Luietenant, since you seem to have inherited this squad, lets have your report. Doesn't have to be fancy, you can give me that when you file an official report later. The rest of you, if you have anything to add, I want to hear it. No formalities here, just a quick debreif."
He glanced at all the faces. " Where the hell is Trassk?"

Upon the Colonel's entry, and look, Mary sits upright, waiting to be addressed, and letting Sam answer.

After discretly rolling her eyes at Mar, Sam gives the Colonel a quick recap of what happened on the mission.
"As to where Sgt. Trassk is," she continues, wondering what she should say considering the new information she'd just learned. Finally she says "I have no idea where he is. He walked off the transport and disapeared." (tag)

Colonel Wallace listened to the report, showing no hints of his take on it. When she finished, he eyed the others. " Thank you , Luietenant. I take it the rest of you are satisfied with that, since none of you spoke up?"
Rhys and Dyson both shook their heads with a " No , sir."
The Colonel turned to Lobo, Ellie and Mar, adding. " Now would be a good time for your questions. Which, judging by your faces, there are a few. But that is to be expected." He looked up to the door. " About time you showed up, you know procedure."
Shepherd slipped in the door, wearing a well broken-in uniform with no markings on it. With a salute, he took a seat next to Dyson. " Sorry sir, the transport's medic ordered me to check in with the infirmary. And since the docs don't let weapons in, I stopped in my quarters and changed. I would have been here sooner, but one of my squad mates was in the infirmary and I wanted to speak with him." He looked acrossed the table at Mar. " Snowball got picked up. He's going to be okay."
The Colonel scowled. " You've always got an answer." He turned back to the others. " Let's have it, I know you've got questions as to what's going on, and why you didn't see this part of the base when you were first assigned here."
Shepherd raised his hand, only to be shot down by Wallace. " I wasn't talking to you. You know more about what goes on here than I do."
Shep only smirked, folding his arms in front of him.

Mariana looked around before speaking up. "Are you aware, sir, that there are some... inconsistencies with communication and the chain of command associated with the region?" She asks slowly, trying to choose her words.

" Inconsistancies? That's grand coming from an operative who just shows up and invites herself along for the ride. " Colonel Wallace replied. " You're lucky I didn't have you tossed in a holding cell until I decided that Trassk' report made it clear that your clear interferance on Psi-Battalion's behalf did not endanger the mission, and from the luietenants' report, it sounds like you played a part in the sucess of this mission. "
He leaned forward to rest his palms on the table. " The sucess of this entire operation depends on it's confidentiality. As far as Ps-Bat is concerned, CSOG does not exist, and that is the way Chi-Town wants it kept. That goes for all other branches of the military as well. If word leaks out as to what is really going on here..."
Dyson cut in timidly. " Sir, if I may, what is going on here?"
Col. Wallace gave Shepherd a look as he stood back up." You didn't breif them?"
" I wasn't the superior officer, and I don't have clearance to brief anyone on Fort Griggs' mandate, sir." Shep replied.
Wallace scowled. " You're getting to be a real pain in your old age, Trassk." Shepherd merely shrugged with a smirk as Wallace continued. " Fine, I'll explain. As you all know, since the battle of Tolkeen, Major Li Sung has gone rogue and set himself up as a warlord. He has set himself up a small kingdom and with the platton to support him and the supplies he has obtained, he is becoming a thorn in the Coalition's side.
" We also have General Sprite and his First Apocalyptic Army operating in this same general area. At first he was of no concern since his objectives were close to the coalitions, but the General is becoming to big for his britches and is also another thorn that Chi-Town would like to see removed. Fortunately, Sung and Sprite are at odds with one another. That's where CSOG fits in.
" DSD has been playing the two sides off of each other, even to the point that there have been some equipment supplied to them, sung from Iron Heart and Sprite from Free Quebec and Arkansas. Today is the first we've heard of any troops being supplied. Our primary objective is to prevent either of them from getting the upper hand and hopefully to instigate a full blown war that at least weaken them both enough for the regular army to squash them.
" The objective of your mission was to deny either side the use of Westvale as a forward base and to relocate the villagers, as well as locate our missing soldiers. Though Trassk's unorthodox methods to relocate them will have to be reviewed, you folks managed to pull it off with losses below Tactical's predictions. Well done."
Shepherd groaned at the mention of acceptible losses, but it went unanswered. " I think I've answered you're question, corporal Wong. Anyone else?"

"So, it's more people getting carried away. A much better situation. Sir." Mariana mused. "But, I must be thankful for Psi-Bat... if I had gone home, my father would have transferred me here anyways, and that's not a favourable situation.... Sir..."

" Uh, Mar, " shepherd interjected sheepishly, " I already suggested that you be tranferred in my report. Lt. Fraser is going to need an XO and you two already have a working relationship."

"No. I meant I would have been plopped into Sung's men as cannon fodder, my father being the caring man he is." She responds, cooly. "As for the transfer, will Psi-Bat accept it?"

" They will, provided you don't kick up too fuss about it. " Col. Wallace answered. " DSD has enough connections to pull resources as required from other divisions. Luietenant, Sergeant, do the two of you feel that you can continue to operate together with Trassk attached to your unit?"

"Yes, of course." Says Wallace.
Marianna gets up and walks to the door with a dog-that-just-peed-on-the-rug-and-got-caught-for-it look. Out side the door, she says "Yes, Ma'am?" She asks in a respectful tone.
