"See, that's where you're wrong," Sasha says. "Just because I no longer wear a badge doesn't mean I don't Serve and Protect. And I think you need help, I would be a horrible person if I let you do something you'd regret."

" It's too late for that." Ryne replied offhanded, looking down.
The college kids watching the games were starting to get rowdy again, causing Ryne to raise his voice," Hey, the lady said keep it down."
One of the kids got smartmouthed, " Hey, shut up old man. We're enjoying the game."
Sasha could see that Ryne didn't take the insolence well as he slid from his seat and started towards the table.

"Ah youth," Sasha says with a weary sigh and standing up to walk over to the kids before Ryne does. She grabs one by the ear hauling on it painfully. "I said no more disrupting the patrons. Now get out, you and your friend."

All the one could do was cry out in pain. The other still protested, " come on lady, we ain't hurtin' nothing."
" Do as she says." Ryne replied " And no one gets hurt."
" I ain't the one whose got to worry." the college kid said, throwing a quick punch.
Ryne was quicker. He caught the punch with an open hand ans closed his grip around it. The boy cried out and he tried to collapse to his knees, but Ryne wouldn't let him. He held him aloft by his palmed grip with ease, lifting the young man high to look him in the already tear streaked face," Boy, less than twenty four hours ago, I killed two of my best friends and put two more in ICU. do you realize what I can do to you?". Ryne's gravelly tone and expression told Sasha that the man was telling the truth.

"Put him down Ryne," Sasha says in a tone full of authority. Letting go of the boys ear she pushes him to the door. "Go, you're meals and drinks are free. Next time you come don't cause so much ruckus."
Turning to Ryne she points to her office. "We need to talk, Ryne. Now." Turning back to the room she smiles. "Sorry about that folks, please just go back to your meals and enjoy the game." She smiles back to the bartender. "Half price pints for any who want it."

" You got it boss." the tender replied as Ryne dropped the boys, who scrambled for the door clutching his hand, with his friends close behind. Ryne clearly wasn't used to taking orders and shook his head. " Maybe it would be better if I just left instead. I've caused you enough grief already."

"No," Sasha said moving to stand in front of him. "You came here for a reason; perhaps not intentionally but you came none the less; and I would be a horrible excuse for a human if I didn't help you. You have nothing to loose by talking and much to gain, Ryne."

" you really believe that, don't you?" Ryne chuckled. " I only came in for a drink. but," he sighed," I'll humor you a bit longer, only because I have nowheres better to be." He started towards the office as she had pointed

As the door to Sasha's office closed she sighed mentally to herself. Having a loose cannon on the streets didn't help the world at all; and she doubted she could save this man.
"So, you buried to of your buddies?" Sasha asked offering a seat and a cigarette. "Care to explain?"

Ryne definitely didn't look happy about the subject. " I don't see where it's any of your concern, but yes, because something went wrong, I left my friends either dead or dying by the time I was done. As you can probably tell, I'm a meta. My powers allow me to do alot of things, but in exchange I'm very suseptible to mind control. A woman who calls herself Charisma exploited that and turned me against the others and I couldn't stop myself." The suicidal look was returning to Ryne's eyes. " I'm guessing this is where you're stalling me while your bartender is calling the cops?"

"Not exactly," Sasha said with a smile. "I don't turn other meta's in. As I'm sure you guessed, I did take a bullet for you, and I did fly up to that roof." Sasha sits down and takes a cigarette. "I recently met some people who patrol meta's and our crimes. Should I go on?"

Ryne quickly got a look of concern, but managed to to reply with only a " I'm listening. Go on."

"I'm not sure exactly what they do," Sasha responded frankly. "But I'm hoping they're going to help me take care of the people who want me to keep meta's out of my bar. As long as no one causes trouble I'm fine with it. If you like; when they next come by I can introduce you to them and we can go from there."

Ryne contemplated it for a moment. " No, it might be better if I'm gone before they get here." He answered , giving an impression there was more to it than he said. " If they are meta cops like you make it sound, it may be best if I'm gone by then."

"If you're not guilty and have nothing to hide Ryne, then you have no reason to fear. I'm not going to lie, I'm not good at it. I'm not sure exactly what they do, but I have a reason to believe they're good people none the less."
She flashes him a smile. "If at the very least don't do anything rash and give me a number to contact you at. My bar is a safe haven for Meta's and I wouldn't mind having a few around in case real trouble starts with these low lifes who want to close my doors because I'm not prejudice."
