Jessica, being an old hand at using space suits asks "Need a hand?" As she waits for a response to that question she says with a reassuring smile, "Don't worry. We'll be here to help you if you need any instructions."

" Uh, sure." McKenna replied with a nod. " they only gave us a brief rundown on going EV as part of my ambulance training. They were more worried about flying them than fixing them."

(Everyone) "This is the captain speaking." Tawfeek's voice said on the comm and suit radios. "We will be landing in the next 30 minutes. Stephens report to the airlock. McKenna, wait in the main hanger bay for the technicians." There is a pause. "Deviss to the airlock as well." He adds.

" Okay, now he's starting to bug me." McKenna scowled, and started to take off the bulky suit she had just put on. She then looked at Jessica," What do you think, first mate? should I clear out the engine room first or go twiddle my thumbs in the hangar?"

"We can manage. Just try not to get too feisty with him." he started to seal up his suit as he grinned.

Foreman sees the landing bay on Mare Imbrium - now a moderate bustling Spacetropolis - open to accept them.
And then everyone feels the squidgy thump as the ship lands.
Tawfeek heads off the bridge to make sure Deviss and Jessica are at the main airlock, and such like things happen.
As McKenna arrives at the cargo hold, the main doors open, and some men, also in suits enter, carring some tubular equipment. "We're here for the air purge." They say to her. "Can you point us to the area?"

Jessica nods. "No worries." She gets out of her suit and heads down to the main airlock.

McKenna arrived a little late, and was releived when she finally figured out the captain didn't want her to do the venting herself. She beckoned the techs to follow her. " Come on, I'll show you.." then she led them to the engine room.

Foreman monitors the ship board systems as he keeps the engine running so they can leave as soon as they are ready. He taps on the instrument panel as he sits idling.

(Jessica) At the airlock, she sees Palot Deviss (hee, Plot Device, get it?) be unceremoniously walked off the ship. Not a word was exchanged. Tawfeek says something to the Moon Base guard, then turns to Jessica. "Our passengers are here." He says, as if nothing is wrong. "Show them to their quarters. We can acquaint them with the ship after we lift off."
As he steps aside, he sees a group of men who look like little more than rock minors hefting their gear to get on.
(Foreman)
From his vantage point, Dome sees Devis walking off the ship into the waiting area inside the Moon Base (big windows are common in the future, especially when they can be afforded). The ship seemed to be running fine.
(McKenna) "Alrighty. Bring it in, boys!" Says the tech. The hose and vaccuum equipment are hauled in, using the bay's lower gravity to their benefit. Popping a latch on one of the windows, they hook up the seal on one side, and a seperate hose at the opposite end. "This should only be a few minutes." He says, as the hose start working. "Works with zero-atmo suction pumping the air through filters a lot faster than the ship can itself."
(Mensk) The door closes just at the right time, in the Port engine hallway (upper level), as a latch pops open to the exposed bay, and a tube attached. Then, there was a substantial knocking-overish wind.

McKenna nodded. " Alot faster. But isn't it alot riskier too? I mean if that seal fails, you could depressurize the entire ship.

Foreman leans back in his chair and stretches. Aside from a few harrowing moments the job was a piece of cake so far. He resists the urge to put his feet up on the console while he waits.

(McKenna) "Well, sure." Says he techie as he watches the system. "But when you ask for it, it means you're willing to take that risk, you know?"
(Dome) Everything certainly was quiet on the bridge.
(Jessica) At the last second, Tawfeek leans over and whispers. "By the way, I told them you used to be a cop who couldn't work on the stations because of a couple of killings. In case they ask about it... I said you used a lead pipe that was nearby."

" No I'm not, but it's the Captain's desicion, not mine." McKenna replied, watching the tech crew do their job.

Jessica can't help but raise an eyebrow and smirk at Tawfeek's comments. She simply nods and says "Understood." Turning to the passengers with a polite smile, she says "If you'll follow me please, I'll show you to your quarters." Once they have joined her, she'll head in that direction.
