Ellie passes Shep and the LT as she heads for the helicopter. She closes her ears as she passes trusting that its somethign she really doesn't want to hear. He takes a seat near the rear to make room for everyone else

Gazing at Shep calmly, Sam answers "I simply have a couple of questions for you, Sgt. It won't take very long, I assure you. There really isn't any need for your caustic attitude."
With that, she turns and walks away from the rest of the unit, as to have a little bit of privacy.

Dyson quickly lugs the radio pack passed Shep and the new Lt., climbing up into the helicopter and going to the back to sit by Ellie.
"What do you think of the new Lt.?" Dyson suddenly asks Ellie, trying not to let his voice give away what he think.

Ellie looks to Dyson "Well... Lets see how long she lasts before we make any assumptions," Ellie looks down to Dyson's radio. "New radio huh?"

Shepherd followed the LT until he felt they'd gone far enough. " Alright, let me answer your first question right off the top. No, I don't want you here. I've had enough of snot nosed fresh meat officers. I don't have time to hold your hand out here and keep you alive and neither do the others." He pointed towards the others. " They've all proven themselves in the field and know what they're doing. You, I don't know you or what you can do. and until I do, you're a liability."
He folded his arms acrossed his chest, scowling. " Now, if you want to waste your time writing me up for insubordination, fell free to waste your time. Otherwise, what's your next question?" His eyes slid to Smith for a split second, knowing full well she was still within listening distance.

Mary doesn't once look up from her boot, but a knowing smirk comes across her face, cause she knows what Shep's stepping into. That woman's no fool, Shep. Maybe it really does take a good woman to beat a man into shape.

Rhys having not moved from the post he's been leaning on glances towards the LT and Shep as they pass then checks his gear slowly as he listens to what is said (gotta love amped hearing).

Sam can't help but laugh at Shep's comments. "You thought my first question was going to be 'Do you want me here?'" She wipes away a tear of laughter "Oh that's rich. I don't waste time by asking questions that don't matter to me. Besides, it goes both ways: your record is filled with incidents of insubordination. You're as much a liability to me as I am to you since Lt's seem to have a nasty habit of dying or disapearing when they work with you."
Sam looks at him, all the humour gone from her face. "What I want to know is what the objective of this mission is. I don't need a long drawn-out explanation, a simple summary will do just fine for now."

Lobo ignores the comment but stays outside. As the group heads over to the helicopter Lobo picks up his gear and starts to trot (a slow 25 mph jog) over to the bird. As he breezes by the Shep and the Lt and picks up on the jist of the conversation he yells over his shoulder with a smile, "Its all fun and games till somebody gets thier eye poked out."

Shaking his head with a chuckle at the juicer, Shep collected himself. " I think I'm gonna like him. " His faced straightened." I guess you'll just have to listen to me then LT, so you don't end up like Archer. I've spent more time out here than anyone else, so I know what I'm doing. That's why Sykes requested I be reactivated to be in the CSOG progam." Realizing he was talking about himself too much, he changed the subject.
" Mission parameters are simple. We know where Sung's raiders camp is, and latest intel shows they haven't moved their prisoners out yet." He pulled a couple surveillance overhead shots of the camp and handed it over. " If we hit it fast and quiet, we should be able to get all the prisoners out before reinforcements can get there. you can see on the thermo scan that other than the holding pens, most of Sung's men have moved on, only leaving a dozen or so to stand guard. There's a garrison a couple miles north, but I know we can do this. Plus, we've got a few scores to settle with these guys." His eyes narrowed and a smirk tugged his lip.

Mary scuffs her boot on the gound as she gets up, heading for the helicopter. Finding a seat by Dyson, and Ellie, she says "Hey, Dyson, I think you're girlfriend might just be enough for Shep."

Sam smirks at the mention of Archer. "I knew Archer." she says to Shep "We had basic training together. Arrogant little SOB. Spent so much time trying to look good to his superiors that he never did his job." Her smirk grows at this point as she adds "I had a pool going with some fellow commando's to see how long it'd be before he was kicked out of CS or killed. I gave him a month. It would appear I was far too generous."
Sam looks over the surveillance shots, and nods thoughtfully. "Ok, seems straight forward enough. Let's go." She hands the surveillance shots back to Shep and heads for the helicopter.
