Jason opened the door long enough to slip in, lying down beside her on the bed and propping his head with his hand. " Sorry about that in the shower. It's just Avi... I don't know. It just burned me that he was off like that when we were in a mess. And I was a little stressed, so it was easy to take it out on him." He smirked. " I'll try to be a little more discreet. shouldn't we be having a briefing?"
" I could have died and brought myself back to life, I've done it before," Avi pointed out with a scowl. " You think you're the only one who's woken back up after being killed like nothing happened. ll, I think that's why I was attracted to you even more after our first meeting because you knew what it was like. Apparently I was wrong." He threw the vehicle in gear and started to back out.
Ashley was a little caught off guard by the kiss. " I won't go down. I'll give Tom a lift home once we have a debriefing." she raised a brow at Isamu," Alice is gonna have one, isn't she?"
Up in the command room, Janie called up the message and then left Is alone, heading to check on Dmitri. MacColter appeared on the screen.
" Greetings Isamu. I trust you're settling into you're new role, and congratulations. But I hate to put you on the spot so soon, but I have to. There has been a prison break on Gramercy Island, and one of the escapees is believed to be in Miami. the problem is that the escapee, a meta named Britainna, was and possibly still is a close friend to Alice's grandmother. I hope that this won't be a conflict of interest, but I'm covering the bases. There were several guards injured in the attack, but it's not clearwho was responsible. Nor do we know why she fled to Miami, though it is rumored one of her nemesis, an italian meta called the Iron Boot, might be there as well. We need Britainna recovered safely, and quickly."
The message shut off.

"When I died Avi," Sasha says not looking at him. "A part of me never came back. I was a horrible person, spoiled brat, top marks in highschool, top marks in college. Everything was easy, and I was in over my head. Litterally, I started taking drugs, soon it was all I wanted." She pauses for a moment letting it sink in. "When I started to steal and rob people to support my habit I was to far gone it would take a miracle to change me. That's when I died." Her face calm. "I don't even tell my staff I used to be a druggie. It's like another person anymore, giving into the simple pleasures of sin. I came back to life clean and fresh, but with a hard time understanding people. But I won't quit, my first death brought along a sorta iron will..." She doesn't sigh but does trail off as Avi continues to drive.

*below in the gym .. Sierra pushes herself harder than she's done in years. one arm gymnastics and two armed and then no armed types. she may not know how to punch correctly, but she figures that if she 'looks scary' with the attempts, then she wont have to actually punch. kicking she knows .. but she tries to avoid hurting people.
she's learned since then that what she wants and what happens .. are 2 different things. she knows that she'll have to work on the arms now .. and chooses to spend the next 2 hours moving about on them
of the others? she has a sense of them, but chooses to leave them alone. if none of them want to practice skills, not her problem. she'll make sure that she won't be the one that bogs the group down. but chances are she will .. because she grew up differently from the others

Alice smiles weakly at Jason as she nods. "I was pretty upset at Avi just taking off because he wanted to help some girl he has the hots for. He's already shown that he'll lie for her, and that upset me."
Sighing, she nods and says "Yeah, we should have the debriefing now. I'll get everyone rounded up in the board room." Leaning over, she kisses Jason gently before heading back downstairs and asking anyone she runs into to please go to the board room so they could get the debriefing done.

Solomon asks Alice "may I sit in, or is this 'in-house' only? it would help me get a better understanding of your group and organization, along with your agenda and operations to take back to the council with me."

*it is only after a few signals start converging together does Sierra pause and look towards the door and sighs and comes upright. waiting a moment she gets her blood in the right places and then moves.
*back to the front room where she left the papers and the picture, she arrives in the meeting room after the others get there and moves in along the wall and to a seat and waits. wondering if she should be there or if she could just leave the papers in her place and go back to training. knowing that the sand would offer better training for what she needs, she stares vacantly at a wall imagining the sand under the hands while waiting

*blinks suddenly and then looks about as Alice enters and sits for the debriefing. Sierra notices the stranger from earlier and then shrugs and looks at the team leader and waits. she figures once this is over, she'll go outside and start walking about on the hands up and down the steps and onto the sand.
*while waiting, she tidies her papers and then turns them and the picture she drew upside down and intertwines her fingers and taps two of them waiting. she finds her fingernails amid the scales fascinating now and examines them while waiting

Jason follows Alice and Solomon in, and he takes a seat next to the Professor. Lowly, he says," I need to talk to you for a minute about something after we're done here."
Kristian took his seat next to Sierra, and looked at her papers, " That looks alot like him."
" Looks like who? Jason asked.
Ashley looked at Tom, " come on, we better get this over with and then I'll run you home."
Avi shook his head," And you think that is a reason to shut every one out? try again. I wasn't born this way either. A doc got the bright idea to make me better after I got hit bad in Iraq. You think I was the same after something like that?" He looked over at Sasha," But if that's the way it is, so be it. just tell me flat out, am I wasting my time?"

"It wasn't a conscious choice," Sasha says her voice raising. "Do you think I wanted to just wake up and be like... I beg your pardon?" she asks in a curious voice. "Wasting your time with what?"

*Sierra looks at Kristian and smiles. 'guess drawing lessons was something good to take up while on the road .. thanks'
*then her attention shifts to Jason and responds quietly as Alice gets herself settled 'just some guy that cut our powers off .. figured that your buddy should know about the guy. so i drew a picture of him. but she's gonna start so it has to wait'
*her attention goes to Alice now and waits in a more relaxed movement. she settles back and her hand moves to hold Kristian's hand while waiting. she flashes one single guilty look at him then the face resumes its 'its okay' face that she shows the public

Isamu rights down the names on two separate slips of paper. He deletes the message and heads out to find Janie. Seeing everyone gathered around the table in the ward room he puts the slips of paper into his pocket.
He walks towards Ashley and says, "did you remember to save me a seat?"

" Of course." Ashley replied, patting the empty seat next to her.
Once Isamu arrived, Jason looked over at Alice, " You're on,bosslady." He grinned, knowing how much she liked that name. He reached for the picture from Sierra, " May I?"
Avi stopped at a stop sign, and glanced over at Sasha," Oh come on. You can honestly mean that, can you?"
