Trying to ignore Mar's comment, Shep acknowledged Rhys with a nod before answering Ellie. " That would be Luietenant Lucy Rios, and I'd say she was here to pick us up." There was a hint of anger in his voice, but he tried not to show it.
The pilot's voice rang over the speakers . " Trassk, get a move on. I'm not sitting here all day."
shep looked at the others, motioning towards the chopper. " You heard her, mount up."

*Mary watches the others move towards the ship, and turns to Shep, her face all afrown.* "Looks like I've failed my mission too." *She says, downcastedly.* "What say we get demoted together, and then drink it off."
*with that, she heads for the ATV, picks up her gear.*

Shep grumbled something at Marianna, but the noise from the chopper drowned him out.He motioned to the others. " C'mon people, that whirlybird ain't gonna sit here drawing attention for long."

Mary doesn't say anything right away. Instead, she starts playing out scenarios. Including the less desirable ones where she's made to work in Lone Star again, or, god forbid, Ironheart.
"Well, hopefully, I can pawn off something for my own mission." She says, more to herself. "But." Mary leans back as the others find seats. "These things happen, Ellie. I'ld just, maybe, stay out of Shep's way for the time being."

"Alright" Ellie says as she makes room for the others. Ellie gives Mendez a slight glance noticing hes unhappy about the mission she goes over to cheer him up. She starts up a conversation about a Mission she was in charge of in boot camp and how it went horribly wrong.

Everyone else boards the chopper, except Shep. His shouting from out side the cokpit can barely be heard over the rotors, with only a word or two being made out, Obviously he's not happy and the replies from the pilot aren't exactly friendly. After a moment, Shep tosses his gear inside and sits on the edge of the doorway, his feet dangling. As the Demon Locust lifts off, he stares out over the forest with a glazed over look.

Noticing Shep's look, Mary shifts to the seat right behind her, buckles in safely, than grabs onto the back of his armour, not really saying anything. "You'll find them." She says, softly, almost a whisper, especially at the back-drop of the helicopter, the forest running along beneath the squad.

Rhys watches the forest slide by beneath them still looking fully alert as he watches the trees for any sign of danger or trouble. (Paranoid SOB ain't he) His CP-50 held across his lap as he looks at those gathered briefly but says nothing as he continues his vigil.

Lobo ignores the group as they go through there interactions, he is still pissed about missing out on the good fight he almost had. He leans back in the helicopter as his bio-comp pumps him full of tranqs allowing him to relax, he says to himself, "Well, this pickup has definitely gone better than the last."

The helicopter lifts off and heads south, eventually landing at the base a couple hours later. Almost immediately, Shep seems to disappear, leaving the squad to themselves on the helipad. Col. Mendez ( being NPC'ed for now) also leaves, heading to the CO's office to file a report.
