Balus tosses his Tarlok shield aside, then holds his arms aside, spread wide as his adrenaline rush was getting the better of him. " You be needing grammar lessons, ugly." He replied over his radio, letting the Tarlok make his move.

Solaxis parries with the blade of his own weapon (parry 13+6=19) and returns the stroke (strike nat 20+6=26, damage 38+45=83x2=166)

You carve through the Tarlok from his left shoulder blade straight through to just abouve his hips, effectively bisecting him. However, in the process your blade is now warped and ruined, as sparks fly from it and the blade casings are damaged.

Balus brought his arms up in from of him as he tried to avoid the Tarlok's axe swipe ( dodge=14+4=18)

Solaxis sheathes his sword and turns his attention back to the others. grabbing Slycer, Solaxis rockets back to the pod and begins towing it back to the shuttle, keeping an eye on Balus

"Dr. Kiadan, my engineering team is having a problem, would you care to assist them?" The Captain perks an eyebrow at you.
(Balus)
You see the blade swing just shy of your faceplate.
(Solaxis)
You tow the injured trooper and the pod through space. Balus seems to be holding his own, as do the other troopers, but you see a Killship that has managed to evade the Seeronian Silver Dart fighters and is beelining for the Victory.

As the blade passed, Balus followed it with an uppercut, gritting his teeth as he put as much into as he could ( power punch str= 17, dmg = [3d6x10+51] 181)

" Ewww." Balus turned up his nose at the sight of the Tarlok, and began to wipe his glove off. Then he began checking to make sure there weren't any more Tarloks nearby.

Solaxis called to Balus "get your friend back to the shuttle" as he left him attached to the pod, which was already on a free-fall course towards the shuttle as he took off on an intercept course for the killship. he flew into the ship's engine wash absorbing the energy that would incinerate most other beings and gathered all his energy into a massive pulse blast into the engine core from the inside (strike 20, damage 120x2+240, uses 4 attacks) www.angelfire.com/ky3/mph69/ |

(Solaxis and Balus)
Balus, you see the Killship detonate in a blinding blast of flame and light, with only the figure of Solaxis still remaining. You see Slycer attached to the pod that was supposedly carrying the scientists, and you see your unit; 2 of the veterans are clearly dead, another injured, and the Talus Sargeant is carrying him back to the shuttle.
(Kiadan)
The Captain looks at you. "You are quite brilliant, I understand. Certainly such a task is not beyond you?"

Balus watched the ambassador for a moment before making his way over to Slycer. " Hey, thanks for looking out for me. Not sure I could have done it without you." He grinned behind his facepiece, but it quickly faded. " You gonna be okay, bud?"

"No it is not beyond my abilities," Kiadan says with a sniff of disdain. "I was merely finishing an algorithm in my head that I will need later."
With that she takes off from her perch on the comm station and moves towards the Engineering division. "They will have the brilliance of Kiadan to see them through their petty problems," she says as she moves to the newly assigned task.

Solaxis flies back to Balus, Slycer and the pod "well fought. let's get you boys home." as he grabs Slycer again and begins towing the pod towards the shuttle
