(Balus)
The officer snorts "I'm Captain Jhon Roben - commander of the Victory Mission. You're about to meet our first Officer. Hop to it son."
(Kiadan) The human tech. "Please project your beam at the target." The other seerman tech "We'll let you look at our specs sometime. Just please let the scanning lasers do their job."

" Yessir. " Balus replied, quickening his pace, not difficult considering his bulk. " Sorry sir, I just got here. didn't mean to offend you."

"No offense Specialist Walkir. These clowns are trying to get one up on us. Let's show them how it's done, shall we?" The Captain smiles as you exit the base to see a large red hovercruiser land on the main driveway...the protestors outside the gate are now completely silent, and perhaps, even a bit affraid, as red armored figures march from the ship; each one a strange and unusual Biofreak.

Balus stood at the captain's side, watching in awe," They... they're Epoch Riders, aren't they sir?"

Muttering to herself Kiadan turns to the target first flashing the target with mere illumination and then intensifying her gaze to turn them into a dangerous light beam. "If you like I can explain how you two can have the ability to injure items with but a gaze," she says to the technician making notes. "It's really quiet simple really," she says as she begins her long explanation of how the light beams work and how they don't in fact heat up the air molecules before her but rather intensify the heat of light as it moves through the vacuum.

(Kiadan)
"Very good. We'll have the visor of your helmet polarized so you can emit that wavelength even in an emergency. Your uniform will be output over at that machine." The tech gestures Kiadan over where a white spacesuit emerges. There are special compartments designed for Kiadan's wings and tail, and the gloves and boots seem to seal almost effortlessly.
(Balus)
All the armored men who march out, in addition to blood red armor and matching capes, also have a broach of red metal pinning their capes to their armor. Their leader is a Talus Bio-Freak with red skin and black lines that resemble tattoos marking his skin. Black bone spurs jut out of his shoulders, elbows, knees and knuckles, and he has rows of short black horns that from a distance resemble hair.
"I'm RiderChief Valyr Trokyr, come in the name of the Glorious Kesmin to serve as part of your glorious mission. We present ourselves for inspection!"
Roben looks over the Rider, and then his men, with a dispassionate eye. Despite being a foot shorter than the 6'10" Biofreak, Roben's voice echoes. "The hell you are. None of this tribal crap is going to pass. Get yourself and your...men" He chews on the word for a while. "Down to Tailoring for a proper uniform. This is a planetary mission, and you'll wear Seerionian colours, not Scythe's. And that 'RiderChief' garbage stops here. If you're going to be my second, you're getting a real damn rank. I'll be nice and give you the billet as a Major. Now, if you want stand here and try and look tough, I'll have you stand out here until the sun burns out, but if you want to do a job, then get to work."

Balus stood at ease, trying to hide his disbelief in the captain's actions. Though he managed to keep his expression blank, his swallow went down hard as he tried to decide whether Captain Roben was asserting his authority, or simply insane.

Valyr grits his teeth for a few moments before exhaling sharply. "Very well, sir." He then turns and orders his men inside and promptly follows them.
Roben turns to Balus. "Thanks for the back up, Specialist. Good thing you checked in early." He gives a slight grin before patting your arm. "Strell made a good call asking you on this one. I owe him a drink."

" Back up? All I did was stand here and try to hide my surprise." Balus replied." I hope I'm not out of line, sir, but is it wise to try to pick a fight at your first encounter with them? What, with the Riders... colorful history?"

"This will not due," Kiadan says examining the suit. "Where are the pouches for my notes and tools? Where is the pocket for my needle?" She shakes her head looking at the suit. "I wish for the mark 2 version of my suit to be more functional and less about it's look," she says. From the tone of her voice she sounds serious, which is surprising considering how "intelligent" kiadan makes herself out to be.

"Colorful History? You mean the fact that they are the personal guard of a gangster who wants respectability? Or that their actions during the war would constitute war crimes in any civilized society, but we have to let it pass because they control some of our key resources?" Roben smiles. "Son, I served 40 years on the Javelin, aging half that time, mind you, but still. I made my sacrifices" as he points to where his right ear used to be "but I go to bed every night content that I did the right thing, and I didn't do it over any innocent bodies. Something I doubt any of those clowns can say. Now, that said, it might not have been the wisest move, but keep in mind; they just showed up two days early, in plain view of daylight, jeopardizing the secrecy of our mission and creating a whole lot of hassle. Some harsh words were expected, I imagine. This is about politics, Specialist, and let me tell you, politics is messier and uglier than any war you'll have to face."
(Kiadan)
"We've got adjustable web-belts and a few pockets in the uniform. We're still ironing out all the features. If you'd care to submit your feedback in written form, we'd be glad to look it over, Doctor Kiadan." The elder Seerman stated.

"You can expect my report immediately," Kiadan says as she dresses herself. "Why there isn't even a spot for an adjustable thermometer!" she says in a flabbergasted tone. she continues to dress tisking to herself the entire time.

" Yessir." Balus apologized," I didn't mean to sound like I agreed with them. Just because I'm a 'Freak like they are, doesn't mean I could be one of Scythe's people. Sir, if I might ask, why did the General send me to be part of this mission? I'm not exactly built for the narrow passages on a starship." He couldn't help but smirk slightly.

(Kiadan)
After you get dressed, you get directions for where you will meet the rest of the xeno-sciences team and inspect your equipment.
(Balus)
"The General says you're bright, a good kid, clean, and you'd be useful. You're also the first generation to come of age since the Liberation, so I want to test your mettle. And don't be worrying about being too cramped; it may not be the Javelin, but the Victory should be big enough for a fellow like you."
