"My lab seems to have been moved from where it should logically have been put," Kiadan says in an annoyed tone of voice. "This will not do, where is my laboratory located so I may begin my work?"

(Kiadan)
The Quartermaster produces a form. "Please sign here to indicate that you completely understand that the Seeronian military and government did everything they could to ensure your safety, and that your refusal to follow our safeguards are your responsiblity should something bad happen to you."
(Balus)
A pair of armatures lowers and starts scanning your body. On a screen you see a digital readout of them mapping your body.
"Only a few moments, Specialist. Please hold still"

Kiadan stares at the form for several moments her expression changing slightly as she reads the form. "Am I to understand," she says in a curious tone and lifting the goggles from her face. "That I am to be venturing directly into space? Were that the case, I'm cerain much of my research could be accomplished by those far less ingenious then I."

Balus tried not to move as instructed, but he was used to staying still. He had to force himself not to fidget as the scanners passed over him.

(Kiadan)
The quartermaster sighs. "yes, you would be going into space, which is why Command would like to fit you for a space suit, if needs be. However, if you continue to refuse, you either have to sign the waiver or quit. Now, please, pick one. I'm a busy person too."
(Balus)
"Alright, Specialist. That's good. The uniform is being manufactured as we speak. Give it 15 minutes and it'll be in the receptacle where you changed. Try it on." The head technician smiles at you.

Kiadan huffs to herself for a moment. "Very well, but I must inspect the quality of the fabric, it's designs and test it myself to assure it meets my qualifications."

Balus nodded, returning to the change room. He considered putting his uniform back on, but decided it was a waste of time. When the uniform showed up, he put it on.

(Kiadan)
The quartermaster gives you the same instructions to the tailor's office that he gave Balus.
(Balus)
The uniform is black with silver trim, unlike your normal blue uniform. the fabric glistens and you find that the gloves almost seem to seal to the rest of the uniform when you put them on. Everything is custom-fit and incredible comfortable.

Stepping out of the training room with his regular uniform under his arm, Balus checked himself out," This is fancy uniform. And it will double as a spacesuit in case of a hull breach?" He looked at the seerman for an answer, at the same time transfering his rank pips to his collar.

Fuming to herself Kiadan follows the directions flying at maximum speed down the hall at head level, her tiny draconic wings resembling a humming bird as she flies. She was quiet sure no one mentioned she would actually be going into space... but then they had rambled on a lot and there were so many more things to keep her mind occupied with.

(Kiadan)
You enter a room where there are two Seerman and a human in lab coats. "We'll need you to strip down for measurements, Doctor." The human says.
The Seerman. "Says on your file you have an energy projection ability? Is that ocular, dextral, or other emission point?"
(Balus, but Kiadan also will overhear this as she enters)
The Human tech. "The gloves have a one-way permeable smart membrane to allow you to fire your energy blasts without compromising suit integrity."
The young Seerman female tech chimes in. "The suit will also let your skin breath, but it will become airtight once the onboard sensor notices a drop in atmo. It'll activate micro-electro-mechanical suturing devices to 'close' the fabric and seal with your boots, gloves, and helmet. Which is on the counter over there. Now, because you're invulnerable, there's contigencies to allow for partial breaches; say you get shot in the arm and it tears the suit, then the sutures will seal off at the shoulder, not cutting you, but preventing any extra atmo from venting out. "
The elder Seerman male cuts her off. "So, you'll have little to worry about. We are eventually hoping to make some upgrades to the on-board computer in the suit to allow for things like camoflage settings and to cut your thermal and Lydar profiles."
The human huffs. "If we can ever get the computer to be smarter than a wristwatch." and gets a stern look from the elder Seerman male.

" Very nice. Thank you." Balus offered, then looked at the techs. " I think I'm supposed to go for Zero-G training next. Can you point me in the right direction?"

The tech gives Balus directions. As he heads up, he hears a commotion, and a crowd is walking outside. You hear a lot of "They're here." "They're early." "Ambush?" "Just trying to catch us with our trousers around our ankles I'm guessing."
An officer in the same type of black and silver uniform as you, with metal cylinder protruding from where his right ear used to be, and a series of spider-web scars branching out from the region, approaches Balus. "Specialist, follow me."

Kiadan normally used to wearing only a lab coat for her modesty arches an eyebrow and only vaguely hears the question of her light powers. "Ocular, excuse me," She calls flitting towards where Balus is. "I couldn't help hearing you require a smarter computer for a simple cosmetic augmentation to the programming. It should be a simple matter to create a smart enough machine to render and replicate the data accessible to us." She shoes off one of the techs with a small draconic arm. "What are the specifications of the program exactly?" she asks in an excited voice, forgetting about her need to see the lab or protect her modesty.

" Yessir." Balus replied, falling in step behind the officer. He gets up the courage to ask, " Are you the Zero-G training instructor, sir?"
