Dyson turns after Shep passes him and says "No, apparently we're taking order from Gantry now." and starts slowly walking back to the picnic area.
Dyson isn't hurrying, he's fully awake now and just taking a nice long look at the day before he has to get back to business.
OOC: I think you said it was sunny Dakota, but are there any weather fronts visible, and are there birds singing? Not that Dyson will really notice the weather fronts, him having basically lived in a big building his whole life, but I'd like to know.

"Hey!" Mikey shot a glance at Mariana. " I resemble that remark." His face broke into a grin then he turned his attention to the others returning.
"Gantry? He wishes." Shepherd chuckled a bit at Dyson before turning to face Rhys. " I'm sorry I incovenienced you. Next time I'll leave you directions. I had something I had to attend to." He turned to the table as they approached it, making eye contact with Mariana for a moment." I just had some encouragement to push up my timetable. So, " he folded his arms acrossed his chest and rested a foot on the bench seat, " now that we're all together, would someone care to tell me what was so blasted important I had to be escorted back here?" His gaze shifted suspiciously between the officers and Mariana.

Yes, it's a typical fine early summer's morning. Sun was just coming up when everyone started to get up. There are some clouds off to the west on the horizon.

"Nope," Ellie says with a smile "Oh, look the boys are back." Ellie leans over to Mariana "I never mix business with pleasure.... ok well maybe once or twice." Ellie looks up to Shep as they approach and with his comment she looks the to the officers for the briefing.

*Mariana nods to Ellie's response*"Yeah, that makes sense." *then turns and looks to where Ellie was looking at Shep. At Shep's eye-contacting look, Mariana responds with an innocent questioning look. As the group arrives, she sits and waits to hear what's going to happen.*

Dyson just stops and watches Shep and Mariana go at it, his expression slowly changing to subdued rue, with eyes cast alternately to sky and earth, but he remains quite.
