" You sure? councilor Thigpen's secretary was pretty upset about a brawl up here." The guard said. " Maybe I better go check with her. You folks wait right here." The guard started down the hallway. Solomon responds to the guard's request before he gets too far, "really? look, no blood, no cuts, no bruises, no missing teeth or broken bones. I can assure you there was no 'brawl' so I hardly see where detaining us is necessary. we have business to attend to. c'mon kids, let's go." Solomon turns to leave, heading for the exit. |

"As the professor turns to leave Isamu says, "sir, we did come to see the council meeting," he makes sure to catch Tom's eye, so that he can see that there is a reason to stay. "Do you not need to get the information for the article?"

Tom catches the look "Yes, I'm going to stay." As he wheels back to the council chamber and finds a place to set up his camera and a note pad.

After a moment, the brute returned inside and Klaxon and his companion walked right passed Alice without recognizing her. He was boasting," Deth will look after those two. they were too busy gabbing when I snuck up them and let them have it. Maybe we can get that lucky with the rest of them too."

" fine, you folks can go then." The security guard said and then continued on his way. Back in the council chambers, the meeting was progressing slowly, with a trivial debate concerning the upcoming fourth of july celebrations. the brute returned to his post behind the mayor, but his eyes were fixed on the others

As they approach the seating area again, Isamu leans toward Tom and says, "there is someone outside that knows me, it is best if I wait them out a bit. Since you are the reason I am here, I need you to say as well."
Reaching up he makes sure Alice can hear him and he says, "Alice can you contact me when Klaxon is gone."
(OOC: Wasn't Klaxon the one that we had in custody and eventually turned over to Control?)

Solomon shrugs and follows the kids back to the viewing area. "I would have thought that enough excitement for one day." slinking into a chair he mutters something to himself and promptly dozes off (Astral Projection). Rising from his body, he remains in the Earth realm looking around the vicinity to see if anyone takes notice of his astral form. If the coast seems clear, he opens his senses to the world around him sensing for enchantments or the presence of evil.
If nothing alerts him to the presence of either, he continues casting in this form, first performing the incantation for Armor of Ithan to protect his astral self, just in case, followed by Seeing the Invisible, although he should be able to see other astral entities, just to be sure there's nothing else concealing itself, and finally Seeing Auras. with that done, he scans all those present starting with the body guard and then moving on to the mayor, then the others one-by-one.

Solomon senses the presence of evil from below coming from the bodyguard, and his aura gives away that the big man is much more than he appears and very powerful, whatever he is. His aura is like nothing Solomon has seen before. the mayor however, is a complete blank, as if he is somehow blocking him. everyone else seems normal, if you can call politicians that.

Alice watches Klaxon quietly and whispers to Isamu over the radio. "They've left now. Luckily they didn't recognize me" She continues to watch to see if Klaxon returns so she can warn Isamu if she needs to.

Klaxon never really leaves. He instead found a place his could watch the exit unnoticed with his companion. After a moment, another joins them, but Alice recognizes Michael from his breif time as a member of the team before he turned traitor and tried to kill Jason.

Alice hisses into the radio quietly to Isamu. "Klaxon is still here! And so is Michael!" Alice glares at Klaxon but especially glares at Michael, remembering what he tried to do and wishes she could beat him up and get away with it.

With the professor asleep Isamu feels safe using his band-aidio. He says over the radio, "thank you Alice."
Turning to Tom he says, "when you are ready, you should leave without me, right out the front door. I will see if there is perhaps another way to exit the building. If there is not, it will be better for me to leave alone and you not to be seen with me."
Speaking to Alice again he says, "Alice, we will wait them out for a time. You should stay disguised and leave with Tom when he gets outside. No reason to have him associated with us. Once we are prepared to leave, I will seek out an alternate exit to avoid detection, or a confrontation."

overhearing Isamu, Solomon returns to his body and seemingly wakes up. slowly opening his eyes, he looks over at Isamu and Tom whispering "can I have a word with you two outside? in private?"
he quietly gets up and slips out into the hall again. looking around to make sure they're not being observed and keeping his voice low so they're not overheard, "ok, what's really going on here?"
"I have certain 'talents' of my own, and I know who and what you are. I also know the mayor and his 'bodyguard' in there aren't what they appear to be either. I'm not exactly sure what they are."
"I do know they're the 'bad guys' though, so I'm willing to go on a little faith here and hope that makes you the 'good guys'. so mind telling me what kind of trouble you're in? I might be able to help."
