RYLOR TODAY
Rylor, the capital and most populus city on Seeron, has undergone some changes since the end of the occupation, and several new districts are described below:
The Stix: One of the lowest sub-levels of the city, it is a havens for hold outs, criminals, and the lowest of scum. Many former members of the occupation have taken refuge here, protected by former BCR agents, Tarlok minions, and even some Tarlok themselves! The place is a dark and grimy hellhole, and it's name derives from it's protector, the former BCR agent FightStik (Skraypers, pgs 95-97) , whom leads many of other minions on raids and fights off any police or military units that manage to make it into the district.
The Victory Gardens: The Seeronian Government's largest gambit in social engineering yet; They have refurbished one of the major slums in the Northern Quarter of the city, and made it into a district that will not only house a major portion of its military (the apartments are provided free to all soldiers and their families), but it also provides subsidized housing for any and all friendly Aliens, Skraypers, Bio-Freaks, or other superbeings who would wish to join the community. The Government's plan here is simple: not only does this plan minimize the possiblity of dangerous incidents with super-powered Seeronians amongst the general population, it also puts them in an environment where they can be encouraged into "using their abilities to the best use" (i.e. joining the Seeronian Military). The district is littered with Military and Government service Propaganda, and the sight of a uniformed military officer is common. In addition, the police force of the district is composed entirely of superhuman Seeronians and Bio-Freaks, which helps to keep the peace. This division also has a special mandate to "call up" members of the active or reserve military to assist them as the case may dictate. Due to the relatively small size of the police force for this large region, this is fairly regular and to be expected. The District Captain for Victory Gardens is Rire Leenik, the Skrayper known as Spike-Tail (Skraypers, pg. 114).
"The Truk Stop" aka Che Nyk Memorial Park - One of the largest and most well maintained natural parks in all of Rylor, this expanse of Greenery was renamed and dedicated to the heroic Bio-Freak Skrayper Truk (Skraypers, pg 115), who fell saving the lives of thousands of his fellow Seeronians from an entire division of Tarlok during the liberation of Rylor. A bronze statue of the fallen hero stands in the center of the park, a reminder to all Bio-Freaks that they too can rise to stand among the greatest of Seeron's Heroes.
A final note on Bio-Freaks - In Victory Gardens, the Bio-Freak community is strong and relatively prosperous as the government has done an excellent job of seeing to their needs and employment. Rylor is one of the few places on Seeron where Bio-Freaks enjoy this much acceptance and equality. Only in Calbra do they enjoy more power, and even then, it is only when they are part of the Scythe's personal army, the Epoch Riders.
