Has a 2-bedroom apartment that he rents in wherever...
Weapons, swords, bullets, television, fridge, clothes, hero outfit, television, more bullets, knife and a key that he's kept around, but never knew what it opened... maybe an old lock at his parents' house, but he's kept it so long, life without it would be boring and without mystery.
Background story and informational information
Richard, born in Melbourne Australia 25 years ago, has decided he’s had enough of macro-managing handlers telling him only vaguely what needs to be done. If it wasn’t for his own experience and skill, Richard would have no idea about how to do anything. Stupid managers.
He’d been working for an obscure branch of the Australian Wildlife Management Agency for a couple of years before he finished high school. The managers there were great. “Keep this animal in, using this kind of fence. Keep that animal out using that king of gate.” And so on. Very direct and useful. He continued working with them until he was 18.
By the time he left, his powers had manifested themselves. He often used them to torment the “immigrant” animals (rabbits, etc... not people). The Wildlife Management Agency were unsure of his potential as a ranger, and let him go shortly before finishing high school.
Several near-death experiences working for the Wildlife Management Agency slightly warped him. Richard, recovering from multiple attacks from Lions, Bears and Wombats, no longer sees the world through normal eyes. At the age of 19, and his confusion around immortality still very much under wraps ("I let other people convince me I believed in God"), he signed on with the military, hoping for an exciting job of being told what to do, when where and how. The movies always showed the drill sergeants who cared for their men, telling them everything they needed to know. Even how to do such things as walk, run and eat. The player had little to do, really, but follow through on what Richard (who went by Kal Boom at this point) was instructed on.
Much to his chagrin, however, Richard was identified for his powers and transferred over for espionage. He was trained to work for the Australian Secret Service as an intelligence agent. This was horrible. Just horrible. Espionage leaders simply put a problem in front of you and said “solve it and come back when you’re done.” The poor fellow, day after day of pre-killing problem solving. It just wasn’t fair. Deciding life couldn’t be any harder without these handlers, Richard, now going by Charger, with his smart red and black leotards and fancy weapons, handed in his resignation tape, made it self-destruct dramatically, and left in the ensuing chaos. He did well that day.
Now, he’s on his own, travelling the world, doing spy-stuff. He seems to enjoy the more random, less bossy challenges as well.
Richard was never one for fancy-pants technology, even before he became a slightly manic immortal. He rarely used ray-guns unless ordered to, or he found one handy, and seemed to prefer using his own powers or nifty swords like they have in places like Japan. Plus, really, swords and regular non-energy weapons were on the cheap these days. Bullets are causally left around in dozens of police and military installations for the taking, as are plenty of unwanted pistols to fire them with.
These days, he wanders about doing good (Richard may be aberrant, but has a soft-streak, resulting in unprincipled leanings) for people, who, themselves, mostly appear to be nice, plain, helpless folks. If a nice tastey job comes his way, odds are he’ll consider it, and maybe take it. Otherwise, he’s pretty much a lone wolf, doing what he does.
