Jamison explained in detail how he had found the sword on an archelogical dig in Turkey. " It was like it just appeared when I was working late. I was about to catalog it, and it was like it called to me. It told me I was to be the next chosen one to carry the last sword of Tharsis. " He shrugged," I guess you can figure the rest. So that's how I took the name. " He smirked, " So now you know the truth. I'm just a dork with a magic sword bumbling through this hero thing."

"I do understand. Though, none of these swords ever just appeared out of thing air. You may not want to try and dilute the story with it." Durandel hands the sword back. "If you want to do good, then I may have a suggestion that could help. Especially for someone new to hero work, such as yourself. Especially if you want to avoid extradition."

Jamison nodded, accepting his sword and lying in on the bed gently. " I don't plan on telling any more than I have to. I'm open to any suggestions, especially any that keep me out of trouble."

"They're called the Caveliers." Durandel says. "You have heard of them, I'm sure."

Jamison eyes opened wider. " Of course, everyone knows who the Cavaliers are. " He smirked a little bit, " Isn't this blackmail? Join up or face the consequences?" He shrugged as the smirk grew to a grin. " Not that I have much of a choice. Count me in."

Durandel does not look bemused. "This is no joke, young man. If you do not take the Caveliers seriously, I will personally hand you over to the athorities. Do you understand?"

"I understand. I wasn't trying to insult you." Jamison's smile faded. " Becoming a team player is probably the best thing I could do right now, because no pun intended, but I'm flying by the seat of my pants in this hero thing. What do I have to do to join up?"

"Show up, really." Durandel answers. "I believe a team is being formed this weekend, so that would be the best opportunity for you." With an heroic nod (it's so heroic, it's an heroic nod), Durandel excuses himself and leaves..... Heroically.

Jamison watched Durandel leave, and as he did, let out a huge sigh of relief. " Me, a Cavalier? Very cool." He set about his nightly ritual of cleaning and polishing the blade before calling it a night, knowing full well that tomorrow could be one of the biggest days of his life.

The next day came quickly. Amid reports about the growing protests and concerns about the Labrynth fall-out. Jamison makes his way through the crowds outside the precinct, and manages his way inside. Looking around, he sees posters about neighbourhood watches and People First and Cavelier recruitment side by side.
