Jamison turned around in suprise. it was the first time he'd ever seen anyone else up here. " Sorry, I thought I was alone up here. Didn't mean to interupt." He added the last with what might have sounded like embarrassment, but it was really fear that they might have seen him change. He quickly started for the doorway to the stairs.

Well, "seen" is a bit of an over-assumed word... they weren't so much seen as heard, really, being behind the AC.
The couple pretty much ignored Jamison after that as he went in through the fire exit and down the stairs into the university. As he makes his way through, it looks pretty obvious that the security's been beefed up.

Suprised how much things had changed since he'd gone on the dig and found his sword, Jamison hid it down his pant leg and pulled his shirt tail over it before anyone noticed and made his way out the nearest exit, and avoiding any security.

As Jamison walks down the hall... well, limping obviously, since he had a sword down his leg that he needed to make sure didn't stretch his pants or cut him. Also, the handle was kind of obvious... A guard called out to him.
"Excuse me sir. Could you stop for a minute?"

" I knew this was a stupid idea." Jamison said to himself and thought about picking up the pace. Instead, he turned to face the guard, who he recognized, " Hiya Gus," he smiled, " what can I do for you? Hey, you haven't seen Professor Hilden, have you? He wasn't in his office and I wanted to show him something." He patted the sword hilt under his shirt.

Interesting that you never mentioned you worked there anymore. :-P
"You haven't been a student for a year, son." Gus answered. "I'm gonna have to call this in." He holds out his hand for the sword as he calls he's bringing someone in, and to contact Hilden for an artifact verification.

I thought the prof would get a kick out of it. And it's only been a eight months since I took the year off, I planning on enrolling for next year. Besides, Hilden's the one that pointed me in the right direction to get in on that dig in Turkey anyways. you really got to go through all this foolishness?"

" I'm not giving this to you." Jamison replied adamantly, turning the hilt and then tucking the blade against his forearm. " I bought it on E-bay, I can't help it if you don't believe me. In fact I've got half a mind to file a harassment complaint." He intentionally raised his voice in an attempt to draw attention.

"That's fine. You can carry the sword." Says Gus, soothingly. "Neither of us wants a fight here, and if Hilden clears you, he clears you. But, if you put up a stink, because you aren't a student, I'll have to call the cops on you. That's the rules, now."

(Well... to the security office, anyways...)
"Well, things have been getting bad in Javarta. The schools around here are all worried. And then, with the Labrynth blowing up the way it did, it has everyone spooked, right now." Gus explained.
Eventually, after about a half hour of waiting, Hilden arrived. "Well, well. What have we got here?"
"Saw him walking off with a sword." Gus said. "Hidden in his pants of all things. He said he'ld come to see you, so I figured it would be easiest to get that out of the way formally and then move from there."
Hilden looked at Jamison curiously. "A sword?"

" I had the sword when I came in, you just missed it." Jamison corrected as he held the sword out for Hilden to see," Hello Professor. Sorry I didn't come see you when I first got back. I thought you'd get a kick out of this. I bought it off Ebay, but it's such a good replica that it looks just like the fabled Sword of Icarus." He knew his sword was different than the one he mentioned, but it was all he could come up with at the moment.

Gus sighed at Jamison. "Son. You pulled it out of your pants to show me. It's too late in the day for jokes, got it?"
Hilden looked at Gus then Jamison. "Gus, could you give us a minute?"
Gus shrugged and left to man the front desk for a little while.
"Jamison, what is this about?" Hilden asks, taking the sword. "This is no more the sword of Icarus than I am the mayor of Century Station." He adds, as he looks it over.

" Sorry, Professor, won't happen again." Jamison said, but he couldn't help but grin. But his grin faded as sword was taken from his hands. " I didn't say that was the original, but it looks alot like it if I remember my research books, except the runes are a little different. Why, what's wrong, Professor?"
