Okay with time to spare I can run a 4-5 player game with posting 1-3 times a week.
A few things you should know: 1- I will allow 2 Power stunts to new PC's, and gain one per level you reach until 7th. After 7th it will be one at 9, 12, and 15.
2- A power stunt is use for a power or specific technique that will allow your power to mimic another power. this is to be cleared by the GM and must be a reasonable use.
3- you'll be starting at level 3.
4- Be aware I'm a new GM and my writing is yet to fully improve so I do not promise Nobel prize winning posts, nor do I expect them from players. Simply do the best you can.

A use or special attack used by your character that is repeatable and is listed as standard sub ability for your character's power.
Example: I have an Ice Mutant with the ability to change to ice. I decide I want to turn a set weight of other objects or a set number of people to change into Ice with me...ala Iceman (Age of Apoc.) that would be stunt.

Well, Kurff, I did notice you haven't been in a solid HU game before, so I would recommend, that, like Dome, take a bit of extra time to figure out how the systems work, then we can go from there.

I moved the 2124 Robotech idea here from the hello thread
!Disclaimer! For discussion purposes - not actually the robotech game which has already been started - this is a different idea!
The most interesting aspects would probably be in the Southern Cross region, far from Earth... so you might want to skip the first section.
ROBOTECH WORLDS 2124 AD
Earth and the Solar System There are still less humans in the Solar System than in the galaxy of the Southern Cross. There are large populations on Earth, the Moon, Mars and Jupiter Io. These predomiantly human communities have already begun totake for granted the hard won peace which was the result almost half a century of warfare. The RDF and REF heavily influence the local economy bygiving contracts to factories on the Moon, Mars and Jupiter Io. On Earth itself, large farms in areas which were formerly wasteland grow food which is sold across the galaxies. There is no united government in the Solar System. Over two dozen nations exist on Earth (and about a hunderd small kingdoms) and a dozen more scattered across the Moon, Mars, and Jupiter Io. All are fairly democratic and none could be considered "superpowers." In fact, none even own any spacecraft. They all recognize the RDF Space Defense Division and allow the RDF to build bases wherever it wants. It is also free to enforce any shipping regulations it desires. However, most (all but 16 earth governments and about half the ones in space) require the RDF and REF to pay for their own operations. The RDF and REF comply, they import raw materials (usually the ones which aren't very profitable to mine) and sell them to those govts. This does not have a major effect on mining companies, but it does hurt the "tax-exempt" countries in a way you might not expect. The RDF/REF uses an enormous amount of cash, and even though they spend the money they raise locally, their involvement creates a tidal effect on that nations money supply. When the RDF/REF buys (recruits, builds, contracts for manufacturing) the price is driven up. And when they sell their imports (at prices so low banks and companies would be foolish not to buy- remember, the RDF and REF have an effectively unlimited, clean source of energy and they can fill a Salan Scout full of raw materials) no one has any money until they sell what they bought from RDF/REF, or until RDF/REF spends the money they raised. The nations and kingdoms with the best economies are the ones which pay the RDF(and REF), preventing them from competing with the countries businesses. Peace still exists between the people of Earth and the North America Invid. In fact, the occasional stage five invid can be found in the RDF or REF and (although more rarely) among civilians. RDF Transports arrive and leave Earth Space via spacefold every day.
Jupiter 2 (galaxy of the Southern Cross)
Millions of humans, tirolians, and zentraedi live here. Farming and industry are the major exports.
Fantoma (and Tirol)
The Zentraedi planet and its moon (most people live on Tirol) are the hub of the Southern Cross galaxy. The Zentraedi Government is a democracy based on a constitution. The government is primarily responsible for national defense, while local governments carry out most other government functions. Even the space program is run by a private company. The zentraedi place a high value on freedom. Because of the nature of their economy most zentraedi donate a percentage of their salary (companies give a percentage of their profits) to the government. Budget surpluses are common (they are saved, invested or loaned to private banks). The Zentraedi Government sends the RDF and REF a huge amount of money every year. In addition, many zentraedi citizens make donations directly to the RDF and/or REF. The reason is simple, their economy is primarily based on selling skills to other planet groups or the RDF/REF. The Zentraedi have actually been free and in control of Fantoma and Tirol since before the Invid Regent's defeat. Thus, their civilization has had the longest time to flourish. Technically, only individuals who have served in the Zentraedi Military or the RDF/REF are full citizens, but anyone is allowed to live freely and can even be part of the local governments (just not the national govt). With a combined population of just over 1 billion (for Fantoma and Tirol), including millions of humans, praxians, and carbonerans, as well as hundreds of thousands of tirolians, perytonians, and perhaps as many as a hundred thousand of other aliens- this area has the highest population found in the galaxy. While the Zentraedi (now used more as a cultural and national description rather than race) are actively involved in all kinds of manufacturing, production, service and industry, their main exports remain skilled pilots, soldiers, mercenaries and laborers. Training centers and schools are the mainstay of the Zentraedi economy. Other than former RDF/REF pilots, those trained on Tirol are the most desired by employers. The Zentraedi are the backbone of the RDF/REF, the Carboneran Navy, and the Perytonian Armies (and of course their own nations military). Exploration and colonization along with the Carbonerans, humans, and praxians is very common. There are currently half a dozen self-sufficient colonies, ten smaller colonies (dependent on shipping), and twenty space stations. Twice those numbers are being planned or constructed. Note: the Zentraedi have long tried to compete with Carbonera and Peryton in the civilian spacecraft, robotics, and vehicle markets. They have also designed and produced military craft. Until about 2117, their spacecraft and vehicle products were considered inferior. They are still severely outclassed in civilian markets, but have landed several lucrative contracts with the RDF/REF. Zentraedi hanguns and rifles (especially energy weapons) are of good quality and very inexpensive. Most Southern Cross civilians and military organizations (except the RDF/REF) use Zentraedi weapons.
New Praxis
Formerly the Invid homeworld (Optera), the Praxians live here, overseeing the Protoculture farms and factories which produce for the 2050 matrix. This is one of two sources of Protoculture for the RDF/REF, the other being their farms on Earth. The RDF pays for the protoculture from Praxis. The Praxians would never sell to anyone else.
Garuda
The Garudans do not interact with the rest of the galaxy much except for the occasional adventurer or RDF/REF recruit. If their planet ever gets too crowded, they might start a colony, but that is far in the future.
Spheris
Isolationist, they barely interact with other worlds. There are usually less than one-thousand Spherians at large in the galaxy at any one time. The single RDF base (mid-size) is tolerated, but it is unlikely anything else would ever be allowed.
Peryton
High-tech and magic permeate their civilization. Perytonian engineers can get high paying jobs on Carbonera and with the Zentraedi. The RDF and REF pay Perytonian scientists well too. Anti-gravity, spacecraft, hover vehicles, and computers drive the Perytonian economy. Even though they have the capability, few perytonian colonies have been founded yet.
Carbonera
The Third member of the Big Three (Zentraedi, Peryton, and the Carbonerans), their homeworld is unattractive to all but the Zentraedi. The "Bearmen" as they are called are close allies of the Zentraedi. Their economy is based on shipping, mining, manufacturing, exploration and colonization. They often embark on joint ventures with the Zentraedi and their human and praxian allies.
The RDF Space Defense Division
RDF Headquarters is located on Earth's Moon (there are now five Moon bases). The RDF Space DeFense Division maintains bases on every one of the aforementioned planets, though in some cases the base is merely a symbolic outpost. Each major planet is also patrolled by at least one carrier in addition to any shipping escorts, transports or any native military forces.
The REF Sentinels
REF Sentinels command structure is entirely contained on spacecraft, though they do use the RDF Moon Base for training and other RDF bases for resupply, support and shore leave.

I can see a good villain (already PMed it to Albatross to keep them under wraps.)
In theory there should be minimal class creation and modification. It's the details and NPC creation. I would recommend the same system used in what is the predominent game rules system.
Simply to allow some possible cross overs in the future and to set a base set rules for future Robotech and other Pally world games.
Call me silly for this, but I think we should be able to bring one character from one to ANY other game on this forum. so the rules should similar, but not exactly the same to allow GM's personal freedoms.

as for the Robetech game idea, albatross. Did you have an idea for the party?
My inital thought was a small transport ship that offered services to others. I'm thinking something like the Betty (from alien: Resurection) the team perfoms small transport runs and other missions. The Leader of the ship could be an NPC.

Fair enough. I can pull out the dust off of the "Elements of War: Chaotic Nature." not my best but a good chance to hone GM skills and get that Shadow Raiders Fix I have been seeking.
