Gabby waves her bubble pipe in the air. "Come, Watson! Let us away!" It's unclear if she is referring to Simon or Logan but she gestures to both of them as she makes her way out to the door to go to the deli.

"I wasn't questioning your training." Clint replied as he led Blink into the house. "It's just nothing I have has a draw weight that low. On the other hand, there might be something in storage that is right up your alley." Not really. I have a plan that will both forfill your needs, and stop your whining while insulting me. You want to learn how to keep from getting your tail kicked by superpowered opponents?" Hawkeye turned and walked backwards, then spread his hand with a smug look, "You don't go tracking down another superpowered fighter. You go to someone whose been doing it for years. Here we are." He stopped at a closet and used a concealed tactile scanner. Inside was a weapons locker Blink had no idea was there.
Hawkeye reached in, and then turned around with a bit of a surprise, a pistol crossbow. " Doesn't have near the range of a larger version and it will take you some practice time to get used to reloading it quickly, but will this serve your purpose?"

The deli was not far from the mansion at all. In fact it was a wonder that the mansion's computer systems did not monitor activity so close. Inside, the trio found the place busy, but there were still a few empty seats if anyone wanted to sit down.
The owner saw them enter, and immediately recognized at least Simon. "Hey! Welcome back in town. What can I get for ya?"

"I was thinking of a bow to use the trick I do on the crystal pins with arrows for better range and accuracy." she charges a pin then lets the charge fade, "Your the only one here who has training that is similar. Teleportation aside I'm human and I need to up my game Physical or training-wise. I need more than just the pins here. They have limited range and damage. I figured Thor or someone like the Samurai could offer some new tricks. Silver Samurai charges a sword blade like I charge a pin. If I could do that...Training in Asgard or somewhere else might help too. As it is your too busy running this team with all the new talent, myself included, to train me to shoot." she stated plainly and honestly.
"I was not 'whining', it is a fact. I am not trying to be insulting to you. If you took it that way I do apologize. I have no intention of repeating what happened with Zemo in the Savage Land. Outclassed or not I should have done better. Had it not been for the Quin Jet I would be dead." she adds, "It could be part of what Magneto on my earth said to his X-men. 'If we do not change or improve we fall behind' he would say. I became a lot more diplomatic and vocal because of the Magneto of my earth and Sabretooth." she pauses "Basic truth? I need to learn skills to improve combat skills or how to better use my powers. As a skilled archer I think you get that more than most. You probably have paperwork to do or something. The Crossbow is a start though. I appreciate the time. And it would be terrible if you had to delegate paperwork..." she grins mischievously while looking over the Crossbow.

Gabby grins at the owner and says, "Yes! I'll have a pastrami on rye. Extra mustard, please!" Looking at Wolvie and Simon, she asks them, "What do you guys want?"

"I'll have a reuban on whole wheat. Light dressing if you.. gah," Simon sputtered as he slid into a booth, then brushed at the bench, "the heck is on this? Sand?"
"Sorry, thought it was all cleaned up." The clerk behind the counter apologized. " Must have been to the beach or something, weird little guy got sand everywhere."
Simon grew a smirk and tapped his nose at Logan. "And who do we know that likes to play with sand, or rather clay, and can manipulate people to do whatever he wants? Your sniffer picking up anything?"
(GM Note- due to personal reasons, Simon's player has pulled out of the game)

"Clarice...., give one of your pins to me." Clint replied. Once he had it, he loaded it into the crossbow. "Come."
He lead her through the mansion until they were in the hallway outside where the others were working on the computer. "Charge it have the destination the pool."
Once she had, he took the crossbow and aimed inside, then casually fired. The pin struck Eric in the behind, and he vanished. Natasha spun and saw the pair in the hallway and scowled, "what did you do?"
"Big guy needed to cool off." Clint shrugged, handing Blink the crossbow pistol, "Still think it's ineffective? We learn to use what we have, not find ways to make us bigger and badder. You can train all you want, there will always be someone stronger, faster or smarter than us."
"If you two are done screwing around, we think we have it." Tabitha scowled
Bill joined the conversation, " Everything was randoly jumped around, but they took everything we had on the Raft. Including some of Tony's files."
"Great. Call and warn Fury something is up." Clint sighed.
Natasha pointed at the phone she was already on.

"Sure." she was curious what the old geezer would do with it.
"I never doubted, You did test one theory I needed to test. You will need to show me how to do some the trick shooting sometime." she looked at the string, "it did not cut the string. should work in a bow easy. I get there is always someone tougher. it is why I requested help. We can sort out training schedules later Swords and Bows will be a good start. Right now we have a mystery to solve." she nods. Hawk-Eye was the best choice. It would also be a good chance to get know him.
"Bill, can you get a list of newest inmates and Inmates that are well connected. The kind someone might want to break out for a job or large scale operation. Look for useful abilities, skills, those that are leaders of teams, or able rally other villains. To anyone else in the room, Out of curiosity what did we have on the Raft? Seems like it would be unwise to keep all that info in one place. I am thinking where the rest of the info is might also be a target." Blink asks. Even if they were experienced some were not leaders or those that made connections. It was people like her, hawk, and the field avengers that did. Every group had their task-specific personnel on the roster.

Gabby snaps her fingers at Simon's question. "Oooh, dammit, that was on Jeopardy last night!" Sighing at Logan's answer, Gabby says to Simon, "I guess you're going to have to give us a better clue since I have no idea who you're talking about."

Simon looked at the two of them, Gabby in a combination of confusion and slight amusement, then Logan in surprise, "Wow, Tony finds out I'm the best investigator here and he'll be calling for a team shake up or something. Only two people I know of that have issues with us that could leave a mess like this, and Sandman isn't subtle enough to attempt mind control." He pulled out his communicard, "Clint, pretty sure it's Puppet Master. Waiting on Logan to confirm."
"Well, that narrows down who he wants to break out. Cage sent his buddy Egghead to the Raft a week ago." Clint replied.
**********
"You want to learn to use a sword?" Clint replied flatly, but added nothing as his communicard interrupted with the call from Wonder Man. He answered, then looked at the others, "Natasha, I'll talk to Nick, pull whatever we have on Puppet Master." He said, storming off while pulling out a cellphone.
"Nice work Blink, why don't you just kick him in the nuts next time?" Tabitha scowled.
Natasha sighed, "Easy Tabby, you've made your mistakes since you got here too." She looked at Clarice, "You may not realize it, but Clint is nearly as good with a sword as he is with a bow. You might want to consider his offer."

"Yes, I do want to learn swords and fencing. Silver Samurai can charge a sword with Tachyons or some sort of energy. Its something worth looking at. Also, Zemo is an expert with swords, and knowing something of the enemy is usually a good thing." she calls after him.
"I find kicking people there less effective in long term combat. Head or leg kicks are more efficient. Trust me I have done that a few times. It's amazing at how many aliens and monsters that have a human-like biology" she told Tabby flatly. If hawk-eye was going to be this sensitive though it was a concern to remember.
"Let's try and save the hostility for the enemy." Blink states in a tone that was not hostile, but firm. It was a tone that was ending the argument and settling the matter.
"To answer you, Natasha, I did ask him already about archery tips. Why do you think I am here and not at the deli?" she added and continues, "I saw Hawk-eye with a sword on the beach against Deadpool so skill-wise I know he is good. He was trained by a guy named 'Swordsman'. it is an obvious clue so ya I figured out that much. I was curious about the Silver Samurai because in my reality Harada was an X-man. There Harada would have likely shown me how he charges swords. I don't know all the heroes and Villains of this world as well as my home reality. There was a chance Harada Might have been one of the good guys here. My training regiment is not a matter of importance now." she finished making clear she was done with that topic for now.
"What do we have on the Puppet master? anything we can use? Recent activity prior to this of interest?" Blink asked.

"I was there for some of them." Tabitha replied, responding with a raspberry that made Bill chuckle as Natasha cuffed her lightly.
"Blink's right. Enough." Widow said sternly. "Go find the big guy, and make sure he knows who's fault it was."
"Fine." Tabitha scoffed and stormed off.
"She really is like her mother at times." Natasha grinned. "Bill is pulling everything we have on Masters now. Just a little advice is all, Clarice. The grass isn't always greener. Unless you plan on joining whoever is renting his sword right now, there's not much chance he's going to take on a student. He's no X-men here. And Zemo? You'd be better off tracking down Taskmaster and asking for lessons. Zemo usually has his sights set way too high to spend time training. Don't mistake Clint getting moody as being unwilling, he just doesn't like at the joys of holding down the fort. You come out and ask him, he'll find time for some sparring lessons."
****
With Simon's suspicions, Logan's sniffer soon picked up the faint traces of Phillip Masters. He also had been under and faced Puppet Master's mind control before, and knew how dangerous the villain could be.

"Right, I Get that. It is just sometimes the big heroes who forget people like me are not the greatest heroes ever need to still learn. I was not thinking of learning 'from' Zemo. He nearly gutted me. I was thinking to learn to 'defend from' Zemo. I find getting my guts cut out counterproductive to being an Avenger. " she grinned.
"Now that I think Psi-lock might help for those lessons on how to charge a blade. She uses Psi-Blades and swords. A shame this Silver Samurai did not join the X-men he would have been perfect. I can look Psi-lock up later. Emma Frost was pushing to get me to the X-mansion pretty badly. It could be diplomatically good for us too." she shrugs.
"Pretty Sabretooth has a few stories about me being less than pleasant myself. So I am not too worried about a few ruffled feathers. I know I am not always easy to deal with either. Its the way with a team." she added.
"A quick aside question...If Taskmaster is that one who mimics fighting styles it might be worth looking him up. Is he hard to find? Might be a good chance he has fought, trained, or dueled a few big hitters among the masters of Evil. in addition to what Hawk can teach that is a solid start for my training as well. It's my fault. I am used to not having a set Rogues' gallery that is consistent lately. It makes me a bit sloppy. Wonder how the field team is doing?" she ponders taking a seat.

"This won't be easy," he says sniffing the air recognizing the scent. "Dangerous villain, then again dangerous group," chuckles. "Let's go."
