Gabby and Logan returned just in time to see Simon helping Bill back to his feet.
"I'll live, no thanks to whatever got into Bill." Melissa replied, then nodded to the new arrivals, "Sorry we had to cut your vacations short, but something or someone just possessed Bill and Natasha. Not sure what else was done, but Bill was on a laptop raiding our files."
Bill gave Simon a pat on the back, "Glad someone was here to stop me. If it had been Tabitha or Eric, the mansion would likely be levelled. I knew what I was doing, but it was like I was just watching myself. They had me upload all sorts of stuff, no rhyme or reason to it."

Simon looks concerned. "Glad I could help... I guess? I don't like unloading like that on my friends, but... I'm no Professor X." He chuckles. "My skills are limited."
After a moment, he asks, "Do you recall what they had you upload? We probably need to go and do some damage control."

"'No Rhyme or reason we can see yet' you mean , Bill. We can get the laptop you were using and look at the buffers, deleted and recovered files in the Mansions computers. I recommend Someone get on checking that. I'm not the most tech savvy. I just know that Morph always checked buffers and deleted files in data breaches or to track what was uploaded or downloaded. They might have something." blink tells Bill and the others.
"I have the concern of other avengers that are unaccounted for or on mission might be in trouble too, Simon. Maybe a check on others that might be like Bill and Natasha were is needed." Blink adds, "I'll start checking on other avengers via comms. I get any non-responses that are trouble I will port to them if needed. I could use company on those. I get any I'll holler." she walks away and into the mansion. The thought of a mind controlled Thor and Hercules was something did not want to deal with.

Gabby looks sympathetically a Bill. "You were possessed? That sucks, man. At least, I imagine it would. If there's a way we can figure out what files were sent and where, that would be helpful."

Bill shook his head, like he was still clearing cobwebs, "There was no pattern. It was like they were after whatever they could get, as fast as they could. Raft records, mission debriefings, Hank's research stuff, personnel profiles, anything and everything that caught their eye. It's like whoever was behind it could get me to do it, but had no idea what to do once they were in."
"Once she stopped screaming at me, Natasha said the same thing." Clint said as he rejoined the group. "She's a little pissed because I shot her with a neural disruptor. Basically an arrow equivalent to a taser except it hurts a lot more." He looked at the others gathered. "Now we need to shorten up the list of who would do this before we can figure out why."
Erik and Tabitha joined them, Tabby sporting an ice pack on her cheek. "Don't ask."'
Erik hid a smirk, then looked at Blink. "I checked in with everyone active and no issues, except Cap who's communicard is offline."
Clint added, "He already checked in that he was not available to respond, so that usually means he found a party of his own."

"I still think they did want something from us. but the bigger strategy is to distract us. There was no specific target in the data theft and that means they were doing that foar a reason. Bill get a list of what was hacked. In case any names of active or inactive avengers were among them. Last thing we need is families or friends being targets. I know the feeling of being mind controlled...I was controlled in another earth*. One day when I can tell you with out teleporting half the mansion on myself for what I did under that control I will. for now lets just focus on solving this." she told Bill.
* (In the Exiles comics she took out a lot of people and did a lot of damage. will look up which issue)
"Erik, Since this was a distraction I'm guessing something did happen while we were chasing our tails. Lets see if the local and federal Law enforcement have anything. Shield and S.W.O.R.D.S. as well. If NYPD give you trouble I might have a contact in the NYPD that can help." she adds looking to him. (if Swords does not exist ignore that part.) then turns to Hawkeye.
"Its a long list of enemies. but we can rule out those that are not tech savvy or with out access to communications unable to beat stark's tech. Mind control will be our best start. a list of villains able to control minds whether free lance or part organizations is a good start." she said, "So we have a list of that right?" her eyes slightly glimmered with interest.

"We also have to keep in mind that they could have been after a very particular thing, and hid it by extracting a bunch of other stuff they didn't really want or need. So we ought to do an exhaustive security review of everything they took," Simon says, shrugging. More than just a pretty face, ladies and gents.
"I'd suggest Natasha or Clint do that - only they'd recognize an intel pattern from the volume of what was taken. I certainly wouldn't." He smiles.
"But if they copied any of my Mr. Muscles digital recordings, let me know. Piracy is a federal crime."

"Could well be the case, Simon. good idea. If that is what happened we can really shorten the list who. in the mean time I am suiting up in the new duds. just incase we need to move fast. and Hawk, mind if I borrow a 90-100 Compound bow and quiver from your part of the armory? I could use some more useful tools in the field. I can spend time on the range getting used to them." she asked. Blink had a few ideas to try as well. a charged arrow might work like her pins.

Gabby pulls out her Sherlock Holmes bubble pipe from a pocket and fill it wit bubble solution before putting the tip of it in her mouth and blowing bubbles into the air. "Looks like we've got a mystery to solve!"

"Oh, I'm certain they wanted something, the question is what." Clint said. "Can't believe I'm gonna say this, but good idea Simon. Blink, you figure out how to use a bow, then we'll see. Nothing that light in my gear I'm afraid." He winked. "Let me work on another idea for you though."
"Bill, who knew you and Natasha were the only ones here?" Tabitha asked.
Bill shrugged, "Just the team."
"And the guy at the deli when I picked up lunch." Natasha said as she joined them, scowling and rubbing her temple. She pointed at Clint, "I owe you"
"Wait, she bought you lunch?" Clint mocked surprise.
"Shut up." Natasha scoffed. "And Bill always has the same thing."
"Ham and Swiss on rye. No mustard." Erik and Clint said in unison.
"Sherlock, you and Logan go scout the deli, see if the old man's sniffer will give us any clues. Take Simon with, just in case you need a distraction." Clint said as he popped one of Gabby's soap bubbles. "Natasha, Bill, Tabitha and Erik can help you search for whatever was taken while someone sees to Tab and Bill injuries. Blink, come with me, I have an idea." He started walking away.
"Who put him in charge?" Tabitha sputtered before putting the ice pack back and following the others.

She follows with some concern but keeping IT to herself and not showing it.
"An idea? I do have archery training. Sabretooth insisted I learned it as I learn throwing weapons. Something about learning survival skills and to use a real weapon. He was not convinced my pins would work out. I'll hit a Sports store later no worries. A Compound bow will work for now." she had a slight grumble mentioning Sabretooth's name then shrugged and continued, "I sense you have a plan that needs my Spatial manipulation abilities?" she asked.
