Ok, so, fair warning. I compose things in MSWord, which doesn't often translate well to html. For those curious as to the background info, it comes from Central Casting Heroes Now!, which requires a bit of concentration and dedication, but provides some amazing insights to a character's background. If you want them, drop a line to me via message. And for the record, I ignore about 60% of how Central Casting creates characters, mainly just use it for backgrounds when I'm stumped. And yes, I still suck at names, hence a lot of the ?, heh.
First edit, the children thing, didn't seem to click now that I fleshed him out.
Second edit, just a little trivia fact, a .45 Thompson cost $400 in the same era, and anyone could buy it (they were not regulated, since the ATF didn't exist until 1971). I believe, without double checking, all you had to do was pay the $400 and a tax or fee, and could own a fully automatic .45 Thompson. Kinda scary.
Lenard Farlen
Mr. Farlen, a shipping robber baron, married to Mrs. Farlen (a highly educated student of the arts), are the proud parents of three children, two boys, one girl (in order of age, boy, girl, Lenard), he was privileged to be born with a silver spoon, treated to the finest educational resources available. Unlike other wealthy members, his mother was a direct participant in raising her three children.
Even at the age of nine, Lenard was a charmer, becoming friends with an entire family of five (the parents and children consider him a friend).

Even at the age of nine, Lenard was a charmer, becoming friends with an entire family of five (the parents and children consider him a friend).
At the age of sixteen, he met, and fell in love with, ?, a girl born in Morocco. She possessed views different from local religious authorities, of which he helped stage a demonstration against them (only a few close friends know), and while he escaped the harshest punishment, she was imprisoned for two years, and his parents declared outlaws (later pardoned after a year). In prison, she was part of an uprising, suffering a wound to the throat, reducing her vocal volume by 80%. While she was in prison, he went hunting, earning his scar from a rhinoceros horn.
He spent his formative years hunting across the globe, you name it, he bagged it. This was rather normal, except for when on a hunting trip at the age of nineteen. Lenard’s hunting party were one of several in the area. When he took his shot, it spooked a herd of ?, who rampaged through a hunter’s camp. The casualties were light, but significant. ?, the wife of ?, was killed, and her husband committed suicide at the loss of his wife. This led to Lenard halting his safari expeditions for four months. This tragic event, beyond his control, has seeded the feeling of guilt that he cannot solve all of the world’s problems.
When he resumed hunting, he became known as a collector of rare trophies, everything from seeds of rare plants, to pressings, renderings, to violently acquired souvenirs (in the sense of personally hunting). One such endeavor, participated in a hunt with Sir Reginorth (Reg as in Veg, innorth), a professional rival. While they were always one upping the other, Reginorth had a different motive for this particular expedition.
Deep in the jungles of Africa, Reginorth had heard of a means to acquire what Western scholars would call a hell hound, a beast capable of tracking a target across the world, and relay the information back to its’ master. Lenard didn’t know of this part, and when they found the ancient ruins, and the start of the blood ritual, he was shocked. A fierce battle ensued, ending with him killing the beast, but not before being raked across the back (he thought it dead, turned, got clawed).
The glimpse he got of the creatures eyes, and where it came from, struck a cold fire within (resulting in War Is Hell type mentality).

Hunter/Vigilante (Mega Hero)
“Myself? Been hunting for the past eight years, threw in my lot with the Germans, until 1936. When they took Poland, it was a slaughter. I like hunting, no, love hunting, the thrill of the stalk, the moment when you take that shot, exercising one of the greatest powers in the world, life and death. I parted ways with the Germans, went freelance, and turned my sights, and crosshairs, on soldiers. Naturally, I found myself taking shots at Germans, Russians, Italians. That Frenchman, killed in the midst of a tryst with his mistress? Mine. The Italian officer shot through the heart while drinking wine? Mine. The German soldier with a crippled right arm? Mine. Not all of my shots are lethal. Sometimes, the greatest thrill is knowing the target will never be fully masculine again. That British officer, captured by pro-German French forces? Mine. One shot was much easier than six. Yes, I sent money to his family.
I’ve hunted everything, everywhere. From mankiller lions in Africa, to predator cats in far east jungles. From rodents to predators, I’ve bagged at least one.
<looks at a pocket watch> If you will forgive me, I have a French collaborator who needs to cease breathing. You are more than welcome to come along, just do not interfere with the shot. The only one who has to know why a target is sighted, is me.”
Lenard isn’t a bloodthirsty monster, on the contrary, mass violence is abhorrent. Any idiot with an automatic weapon or explosives can take out large crowds of people. It takes skill, expertise, to find and execute that one kill shot. Does the target matter? Not entirely. Men and women, never children (Revised this to exclude children, his alignment/mentality doesn't seem to fit that detail), he’s shot plenty. All of whom had reasons to die, even if he alone knew. None of his targets were innocent, as guilt by association is sometimes all that is required (War Is Hell). The son of a chieftain in some foreign land, labeled an enemy by established powers, fair game (of course, he shot both the father and son; son first, father second).
Name: The Hunter

Size: 5 feet, 8 inches, 167 lbs.
Race: Human
Ethnicity: Caucasian

Disposition: War Is Hell. Sometimes, sport is necessary to help a culture thrive. If man were not challenged, now and then, nothing would have been invented. No predators, no need for spears. No hostile forces, no need to develop armor, then firearms. He can, and will, point to the weapons of WWI compared to those being used in WWII. While not a cold blooded killer, Lenard has no qualms of killing, man or beast. If it’s a man, he prefers to cripple, not kill, for the dead cannot feel the ache of an old bullet wound come winter. Nor can the dead know fear. Though if it takes death to stop a threat, so be it.
Description: Brown hair, straight, kept well cut, green eyes, lightly tanned skin from years of exposure to the sun. While at first glance, most would see his wiry build as a downfall, he in fact revels in it. Where most see some skinny man who probably couldn’t hike a mile without keeling over, he actually can, and has. Lenard has very few scars, the ones he does possess, are interesting tales. Bottom left of the stomach, a healed, nasty puncture wound (earned by a rhino horn at the age of sixteen, where he learned the importance of making your own ammunition, clean through his stomach, missed everything, luckily), three healed bullet wounds (two left shoulder, one right shoulder, through and through; given to him by French and British soldier, respectfully), and a very thin, almost surgical pair of scars, running from the left peck down just above the puncture scar (sometimes, you run into an opponent with an odd weapon, in this case, a two bladed knife). While not fluent, he can fake a German or Russian accent enough to fool casual observers.

Wealth Note: The initial budget ($350,000), saw $105,000 spent on weapons/ammunition/manhunting equipment, and $70,000 on camping/hunting/wilderness equipment.
Wealth Inflation Note: The $11 million, adjusted from 1935 to 2017, would be nearly $200 million, while the $350,000 would be $6.39 million.
Mega Hero Weaknesses: None. Though I'm personally thinking night terrors would be very fitting.

W.P. Sharpshooter: Bolt Action/Semi-Automatic Rifles
• Gets a bonus of +1 melee attack when using one of the specific weapon types listed for the entire melee round.
• Can fire a traditional two-handed weapon, like a rifle, one handed without penalty (normally the shooter loses all strike bonuses).
• Can shoot over his shoulder by holding up a mirror and using the reflection to aim; no penalties, keep full bonuses to strike!
• Accurately shoot while riding a horse or from a moving vehicle (normally a wild shot), but strike bonuses are half.
• Shoot accurately while standing on head or hanging upside down; all bonuses applicable at full.
• Dodge, roll or somersault and come up shooting (normally a wild shot), half bonuses.
• Ricochet shot! The shooter can bounce bullets, arrows, slings, and other fired projectiles (depending on the specific W.P.) off of one surface and angle the shot in such a way that the projectile ricochets/bounces off and hits a different/second target! Inflicts only one point of damage to the first surface and full damage to the second. Reduce bonuses to strike by half. The real target has no opportunity to parry or dodge a ricochet shot.
• This can also be done with laser weapons but the ricocheting surface must be mirrored or highly polished. Other types of energy weapons, heavy weapons, mini-missiles and other types of weapons cannot be used to attempt a ricochet.
