(Lex and Viv)
Vivian and the Rider are sprayed with green ooze as Lex's shot erupts through the stone man, sending blood and what you can only imagine are vital organs across the room.
The giant lingered for a minute, sticking a hand into the open section where its torso had been.
Then it toppled soundlessly.
Vivian finds her new armor is scorching, much the same as Rider's pistols.
"Dang it, Steelfist! That blood eats metal!" The Rider holstered his now useless pistols while prying his tomahawk from a recent opponent.

(Rex)
An 8 foot stone giant lumbered towards the group.
Augustus Mayerts rushed to meet him.

The ground quaked as the two slammed into each other, Augustus' sword tumbling away as the two locked hands in a contest of strength, neither gaining nor losing an inch. Augustus laughed. "IS THIS ALL YOU GOT?"
"Damn death wish." Ezekiel picked off whatever foes managed to evade Augustus as the path was clear for Rex to the collar device.4d20

"How was I supposed to know that?" Lex replied, pulling his .45 back up and tossing it to Rider. "Better than having it slap you around anyways. Where is Powell?" He turned and looked where Powell and the leader had been brawling while looking for any more targets.

"Any idea how to disable the collar?"
"None whatsoever," replies Mr. Colt. "I'll figure it out in due course. I do think they could use some fire support. Would you mind?"
Lady Maraby smiles, knives slipped back up her sleeves, digs around in her pack, finds a cut down sawed off. "Not at all. Slug?"
"Unless you want to make our friends pious, yes,"

Vivian quickly peels off any armour that looks like the blood is going to burn through and hit her skin. She's obviously not pleased since it was brand new and she'd barely gotten to wear it. "Way to go, Lex. You owe me new armour!" she says to him with a glare.

Lex scowled as he was chastised by Vivian as well, “Fine, next I’ll sit back and let you kids dance by yourselves. And who else is going to repair it? I’m surprised I’m not getting chirped at to make him a bulletproof stetson.” He barked back, even though he wore his emotions on his sleeve and clearly felt bad for the repercussions from his actions.

(Lex and Viv)
"Ease up - we're not out of this fight yet!" Rider Whooped as he cut down a guard with his tomahawk to steal his weapon. "One of you steelfists think you can teach me how to shoot these things?"
Lex scanned the Throne room - he was unable to find Powell or his opponent, but he did find the pair Powell identified as his lover and son.
(Perception rolls to look for Powell, mechanical skill rolls if you want to try and figure out the alien weapon Matt has.)
(Rex)
Lady Maraby found a field of enemies, but most stood enraptured by the spectacle of Augustus taking on the stone giant.
The Stone man broke the stalemate by shifting his grip and using his height to bear down on Mayerts, causing his knees to buckle.
"AUGIE!" Ezekiel cried out.
Augustus twisted his hip and brought his opponents' wrists together as he tossed him over his left shoulder.
"I'M NOT FINISHED YET!" Mayerts bounded ontop of the fallen stone man and let loose with his fists.
Rex found himself face to face the with control mechanism - it wasn't electrical, or mechanical - it seemed to use light itself as a means of transmission of energy. He knew he had to think fast.

Vivian sighs as she replies to Lex, looking for Powell. "I know tat you didn't know. I'm worried now that my armour has been damaged and we've got a lot more fight to go. Plus," she adds with a small smirk. "I just got it and it's already damaged."

"Please, have you ever seen me build just one of anything? Not that I brought the spares with me." Lex replied. "Just like old times, stay behind me." He said as they began to look for Powell

(Rex)
Rex, despite the seeming sophistication of the device, you understand it's operation - you just need to access the controls.
Augustus smirked as the giant rose again. "Lady, you can have all the rest, I just want the big one." His legs left the ground for a split second as he spun before his right heel caught the stone man where the solar plexus would be, sending his body soaring towards Rex and the mechanism.
(Lex and Vivian)
Both of you find Powell's family. They both spend a moment processing it - they had never seen another being like Powell before this moment. They then pointed towards a shattered window leading out to some kind of balcony.

Vivian nods politely in greeting at Powell's family. "Nice to meet you. Is that the way out?" Vivian gestures to the shattered window they pointed to.

Lex nodded, then rushed to the window. "Make sure they're okay." He said over his shoulder so Powell's wife and child would not see his face. He knew that there was only a few possible results unless the small balcony led elsewhere. He took a deep breath as he stepped out , fearing the worst.

(Rex)
Augustus hit the stone man with a flying knee. "Fine, just blow up the thing already!"
(Lex and Vivian)
You both peer out onto the balcony. Finding nothing, you peer over the edge. Beneath you were rows upon rows of amber spikes.
Powell sat atop one. He was bleeding and panting heavily.
Relak of the Deathmarchers was impaled on the spike beneath him. With a bloody hand, Powell grasped the crown from his dead foe's head.
"It's over....can I get a hand up?"

"I'm not blowing up anything. The central intelligence is intelligent. Imprisoned, wants to be free. I don't know about the Mayerts, but I personally don't execute prisoners."
