Kat is glad Chaz's back is to her as he isn't able to see the surprised look on her face. Not entirely sure of what to do or say, Kat moves forward and says gently, "You are doing fine. We've just hit a snag and got knocked off course. I am sure we will be able to get back on course and things will be fine."
In her family, if someone was as obviously upset as Chaz was right now, someone would have comforted them by touch, perhaps with an embrace. Not knowing Chaz very well, Kat was unsure if this would be appreciated, so she simply touched his shoulder in a comforting manner as she waits for him to respond.

Windrider cocked his eyebrow as she looked at him. "Do you need my permission to admit you are tense?" he asks, concerned.

" No," Justice smiled a bit. " of course not. Wes, do you mind saying here so we can take Chaz? He needs to clear his head more than the rest of us."
Wes grumbled, but agreed. " Sure I can babysit this wreck. Just don't all of you come back here drunk." He shook his finger mockingly as he went inside La Mish.
" I hope the locals are friendly." She looked to Trial for an answer.

" Yeah right." Chaz replied, rubbing his eye hidden behind his glasses. He looked past Kat as Wes appeared. " Hey Boss, Justice says everyone is headed into town. I got nominated to hang out here til you get back."
Chaz looked at Kat and shrugged as he picked up his gunbelt. " Why not?" He looked at Wes. You can shoot any looters."
" Planned to anyways." Wes gave a thumbs up and a grin.

Kat simply steps back from Chaz quietly and glances over at Wes and tells him "if you'd like, i can stay here with the ship, if you want to go into town."

Windrider stares pack in a thinky face, scritching Thinks I'm a Tree's head absently as he tries to figure out what Justice is up to.
Thinks I'm a Tree, meanwhile, has decided now is a good time to examine Windrider's head for food.

Chaz clenched his jaw as he looked at Wes. Kat nods at Chaz and says calmly, "I'll be right behind you." As Chaz starts to head outside, she asks Wes "Is there something you'd like me to bring back from town since you're staying here to watch the ship?"

Wes grinned. " Maybe a tall blonde and a case of beer?" He laughed. " Nah, I'll be fine here, and I should be able to reach you all on the radio if I have to. Go have some fun, and make Chaz pay for it." He made a shooing motion with his hand.

Kat laughs at Wes's comments and replies "I'll see what I can do." She then heads outside to join the others as they head into town.

I want to make some credits as much as the rest of you." He gave justice a glance before turning to Trial. " Lead the way."

Kat follows everyone quietly, slipping on her tinted sunglasses and stays in the rear to cover their backs, in case they need it.
