"Where do you get those suits, DP?" she asked out of curiosity while waiting on the others.

Gabby grins and replies, "I keep things all over the place. A woman needs to be prepared for any situation!"

He was already going to change. "Gabby, tell me you aren't going as Sherluck."

Gabby continues to grin as she nods. "Of course I am!" Sticking the pipe in her mouth and blowing out some more bubbles, Gabby comments to Hawkeye "You know, you'd be a lot more fun if you took that stick out of your ass!" Without letting Hawkeye reply, Gabby tells everyone, "Be right back!" Disappearing for a second, Gabby returns with her wrist blasters and sleeve swords. "Let's go be heroes!"

"Thanks, Bill. I'm adjusting my flight path and clearing it with the FAA before we depart - relay the information to Songbird." he sends the message as he begins flight check. As he does, he speaks to the gathered Avengers. "Grandmaster is one of the Elders of the Universe - immensely powerful beings nearly on par with Galactus. All of them command vast cosmic energies and teleportation-based powers. Grandmaster in particular, can bridge time, space and alternate realities. Grandmaster is obsessed with games of chance and wagers and creates games and challenges using other beings as his playthings. This is likely what happened to Wolverine. Grandmaster's MO is that there is usually someone else on the other end of the wager - meaning someone is betting against Grandmaster and Wolverine is a pawn in the game. Now, usually the other player has some past history with the pawns, so the question becomes: whom would play a game with Logan's life that the Grandmaster would play with? I'm open to input from any of you."

"I can fully understand and agree with that line of thinking." she grinned back DP. Then looks thoughtful to no one in particular as she takes a seat on the jet with a duffle bag.

"Sabertooth and Havok both are possible opponents that opens the field to a lot of options. We can probably narrow whoever is working with Grandmaster to X-men related foes and those on his personal enemies list. The wolverines' I've met have a habit of making a lot of enemies and rivals. In this case it would be one of some power or interest to get the grandmaster's attention. Like all gambles there is likely a prize to them too so it Might be one that has gain other than just killing wolverine.

"Hellfire Club? Doesn't seem their style..they would use their own mercs or do it themselves." she thought aloud looking at no one. "Weapon X would have their own enforcers and not make a games of gathering targets. Magneto? That would be unlikely..Magneto also would not use a game and send his acolytes or the Brotherhood after him. Apocalypse or Sinister might do something like that. Both do things in a unique style. Apoc is not the gambling type and would see the grandmaster as a threat.. He'd have plan for the winner ready and a means to deal with the grandmaster. I'm leaning to one of Wolverines foes with a personal grudge and a lot of resources. Anyone know if he was looking up an old enemy or one was recently spotted?" she asks, "I'd say check any personal logs of Logan...but that would be invading his private space." she looked as if about to add something else but shrugs

"Its a slim chance but our wolverine may just be involved some other Wolverine's mess. she thought. Perhaps the teleport point in Nebraska would have something1d20·1d20·1d100

After showing up a little late, but catching the gist of the initial speech, Johnny stands in the back and listens.  Then he speaks up and says.  "The Yakuza."  Johnny then, tells them about the encounter in the garage and with the foam creature, that came from the captive Yakuza.

"Yeah, I try really really really hard to make sure that I never do that. Spider-reflexes or not, I'm getting hit if that happens. I'm sorry he did that to you... Wow, you really did a number on this door. Not to worry! Tony Stark's money can fix it!" When his pocket beeps, Spider-Man checks his identicard for a message and thinks to himself ~Oh man, Hornhead is in T.R.O.U.B.L.E. Trouble!~

Getting to the Avengers meeting, Spidey speaks up. "Umm... Who wouldn't? Isn't that guy on everyone's hit list? He slices, dices, chops AND juliennes."

"Spidey, I think wolverine in the universal sense is a target. almost all the ones I've met attract enemies. His universal charm." she responds with a smirk.

"Yakuza? Japanese crime lords? can't say I've reached 'y' yet on the files I've read. But in most cases, well on my earth that wolverine had issues with Silver Samurai. If That samurai wasn't an X-man there would have been a fight to death several times." she agreed, "The other very slim possibility is another dimensions Wolverine starting something to get the 'Game master' involved..regardless how it started we need to end this. How did you stop him before?" she asked the Captain.

Clint spoke up as he returned. "Cap, here's an off the wall idea. Grandmaster grabbed Wolvie for whatever we know. We also know someone already nabbed a whole bunch Sabertooths to beat the snot out of one another to find out which one was toughest. So what if this is bigger? Only reason I could think of finding the baddest Creed is to put him against the meanest Logan and find out who comes out with the fewest pieces missing."


Bill looked at Cap, "I hate it when Hawkeye starts making sense."

"Thanks Bill."

Tabitha was the last to arrive, still looking upset but better than when Blink and Jonny had seen her earlier. She gave Spidey a slight smirk, then asked, "So we're all assembled, what are we waiting for?"

"Alright, Bill - hold down the fort. The rest of you, strap in." Cap starts the Quinjet's ignition sequence.

"We're not going to the Savage Land are we? We always crash in the Savage Land." Spidey buckles himself in and looks around nervously.

Johnny makes his way, up, into the Quinjet and sits down in the first convenient seat. Then realizing, that he needs to strap in, Johnny sets about strapping himself in. Taking him longer, than most, to strap in since he's never had to really strap into anything before. "I should have brought my helmet, right?" He asks no one in particular. "Or my bike for that matter." He pauses and looks up and around, at the inside, of the jet. "I wonder what would happen if I changed, while on board?" The look on his face is one of concern and wonder. "It would look awesome though, if the jet changed also, I'm sure."

"We need to fly to the savage land and see Ghost Rider get on a T-rex's back.." Blink grins with a look that a Thanos would jealous of. not getting an answer to how he was stopped before she was left with the sense she was asking something that was none of her business. Besides Cap was a military man so blink figures he only answered when he had an answer. He also likely had a plan too so it was better stay quiet in case.

With a shrug she resumed reading the file on the Grandmaster and recalling what she did to beat him. It took the collective effort of the other reality's Grandmasters and elders to stop him. With any luck the same group of elders might be here to help if it all went south.

Johnny looks toward Blink and smiles. "The problem would be getting the T-rex to act like a mount but it would certainly look terrifying."

Gabby sits down next to Tabitha and gets herself ready for take off. "Hey Bestie!" she says brightly. "You doing all right? You look upset." Gabby is tempted to tell Tabitha she already knows, given that she's read all the thread responses so far, but figures it would only confuse her.

Tabitha leaned against Gabby. "You were right about Daredevil all along. I should have listened that it wouldn't work out." She said softly. "Lucky for me I found someone to talk to me so I calmed down. I understand now why everyone back home liked Spiderman, even if here he's a bit of a goof." She grinned slightly.


"You want to put Ghost Rider where?" Hawkeye looked at Blink and Johnny in disbelief. "I want nothing to do with the Savage Lands, but that is the oddest mental image I've had in a long time."

As Cap flew, the Quinjet received a transmission that caused the rear hatch to unlock. A winged shadow passed overhead before a gust of wind blew up through the craft. The wind stopped as quick as it stopped, allowing repressurization. Melissa entered the crew compartment, "Sorry I'm late." She offered, before heading to the cockpit and taking the copilot seat, "Luke doesn't take leaving before he says so very well."
