Speed Damage come up with for a co-gm game Daks and I ran
That said, I worked sadly on this for more time then I care to admit to come up with something both realistic and fair, have not given it the full shake down but only works for speeds in excess of 50 MPH
To calculate damage
the base is 1d6*10/100MPH
0 - 100 - 1d6*10 101 - 200 - 2d6*10 201 - 300 - 3d6*10
And so on
For the mass portion you go up in factors of .5/100lbs
100 lbs = factor .5 200 lbs = factor 1 300 lbs = 1.5 1000 lbs = factor 5 2000 = 10 4000 = 20
etc...
So in example I tested, car is moving at 60mph at a brick wall
Average car weight 4000lbs so be a multiply by 20
So formula would be
1d6*10*20
or max of 1200 which seems realistically possible. (Although SDC values are skewed in Palladium)
Throwing cody at top speed is 7d6*10 * 3 which is a max of 1260 damage which is also very realistic
Where as Sylwia who weighs nothing at top speed but has a forcefield so would be in minimum category
10d6*10*.5 = 300 damage
I may have to clean up to make more legible but take a look at it.
