Reece goes to help Rex push the wagon out. Rex is surprised - given the girl's size, she's very strong. "We just need to hold out for a little while. If we can, then this is over."
"Spread out, I reckon." The Rider raises his pistols. "Got a few surprises left, at least. Mind if I ask you something? you strike me as a good sorta gent - rough edges and whatnot ain't my place to criticize. When we done this, you against my asking your partner out on a proper courtin' night?"
Vivian could see three paths in the field moving forward slowly....

When Vivian sees the three paths in the field moving slowly, she moves to the edge of the hayloft and says quietly to the closest person. "We've got three paths in the field moving toward us. We need to be ready!"

"Rex, you better take your car for cover, Rider and I don't want to be responsible if anything happens to it. I'll take the wagon if you want the truck. My armor will take a couple more hits if they get lucky. Young lady," he turned to Reese, "you best get in the house. If these things get by us, it will be up to you." He looked at Matt in surprise, "Matt, I've got no real say in what Vivian does, but if you can convince her to see you, I think the two of you would make a good couple." He smiled, though it quickly faded with Viv's warning.

Reece pauses for a moment, considering her words. "Sort of. It's a bit more complicated than that. Let's just say that things have changed since now....sorry, time travel messes up your ability to use tenses properly."
"Good, now I got something what worth fighting for." Matt slipped off, taking position to fire. "I hope this works, else this is gonna be the Alamo all over again."
Vivian sees the three paths in the field parting...moving at exactly the same speed, in unison, and it is eerie.

Vivian gets her bow and arrow ready to shot and tries to determine if the three paths are close enough for her to shoot. If not, she'll just waste an arrow for nothing.

Vivian sees the three tails converge as they get into her range.
Lex can see Matt take cover, his pistols at the ready.

Once the three tails converge and are in range of her shooting abilities, Vivian wastes no time in shooting in that direction with an exploding arrow.

Lex watched from cover to make sure everyone was under cover before taking aim. He knew the others were more than capable, but he still could not help wanting to watch out for them. When he heard them open fire, he shouldered his Tommy Trencher and fired, quickly racking the next slug into place.
