Vex might be surprised to see a look of familiarity on Jessa's face, as if she knows exactly what Tian is talking about. Looking a bit uneasy, she nods and says, "I do know what he's talking about." Jessa hesitates, unsure of how Vex will respond as she says, "I'm force sensitive."

Vex paused a minute , scratching his chin. "I guess that sort of explains how you pull off some of the stuff you have, but He said two... " He flopped down in a seat looking at Jessa for any sort of tell," I've never heard anything to suggest something as crazy as I have any inklings with the force. Did you? I mean you say yourself you knew you were a ... I dunno what you call it, and yet you have stayed on as my wingmate after all kinds of chances to bail before I got us killed pulling off my crazy stunts, even if they somehow always seem to work out?"

Jessa recomposes herself so that nothing that she is thinking shows on her face as she shrugs. "I didn't know though, in retrospect, I probably should have." Jessa makes sure no one else is around listening to their conversation before saying, "It's not something I really am comfortable with, especially with everything the empire has done concerning anyone who was like us."

" This is messed up." Vex sputtered, " and I can guess why you kept it to yourself with that Vader monster out there. So, now that we know about me and you admit your secret, what do we do? Does it really change that much?"

"It changes little," Tian said. "You are what you are, regardless of your friends and enemies, or your cybernetics."
He walked and sat on the captain's chair.
"Vex, how could you have navigated the ship free of its attackers if you had not become calm?" He asked. "Did your leg have anything to do with that?"

Jessa nods at Tian's words and says, "I agree that it doesn't change much. As for what we should, I figure that, at the very least, we should keep it to ourselves." Jessa looks over at Vex when Tian asks the question about Vex's leg, wondering what he would answer.

Vex was touchy about his cybernetic replacement as it was, but throwing it in his face did not help as he gritted his teeth. "I wasn't calm., my heart was pounding a hundred parsecs a second." He retorted sourly. " How do you prove I am what you say I am, and not just a lucky and good pilot doing what he can? You say I use the Force, I think I just concentrated and used my training." He looked right at Tian. It was not that he did not believe, or that he was discounting the jedi ghost, he just needed prove before he would believe any of it.

"You do have to make that first move yourself," Tian said. "And trust in the force. Just as Jessa did, when I first arrived."
He paused.
"Just like Jessa, too, you must agree with conviction. Otherwise, your emotions - the lingering fears and doubts - will consume you, leading you to the dark side, and you inevitable demise."

Vex struggled to comprehend everything being thrown at him. "Let me get this straight. You want me to stop being myself, and start being something I hardly believe in. Just like that? Why not ask me to create galactic peace with a snap of my fingers? Look, don't get me wrong, I'm willing to try, but don't expect miracles over night."

Jessa shakes her head, "I don't think he's telling you to be someone that you're not. I think he's saying that when it comes to this, there's no half-way."

"Hey, you know me, I never do anything halfway." Vex replied with a shrug. " I mean if this is really possible." He looked right a Tian.

"It is not about being," Tian said. "You will expect to do something you don't believe in. Nonetheless, I will honour your commitment. Both of you."
Tian stood up.
"Until I return, see to it that deck 7 is habitable. There are exercise facilities, and the quarters are nicer."
The ghost wavered and disappeared.
Just then, the door opened.
"But sir, the issue of supplies must be resolved," the protocol droid intoned.
"Look, can you not make one decision by yourself?!" Alio exclaimed, as he walked in, followed by the droid. "Someone, please tell me they have a blaster."
The astromech tittered.
"I hardly think that is funny," M-3TO stated.

"Sorry Captain, left it with my stuff. I can get you a can opener from the galley if you want?" Vex smirked, then sat up and got to his feet. " M3T0, we want to move our bunks to Deck 7. How long will it take to make it habitable?"

Jessa just raises an eyebrow with a smirk when Alio asks if someone has a blaster on them. She wonders offhand why they should go to deck 7 but figures it has to do with training. Jessa adds, "My droid can help with making Deck 7 habitable, if necessary."

"The officer's quarters?" M-3TO. "Oh my. Yes. Well, your droid, I believe, is still repairing your freighter. However, I shall investigate it."
With that, the protocol droid turned and left.
As the turbo-lift closed, Alio turned from watching the droid go back to the pair.
"Clever," he said. "But why deck seven? I would have much rather the hanger deck."
