"You can try," Master Tian said, simply. "But unless you commit, the odds of failure, disappointment and succumbing to the Dark Side will increase."
While more succinct, he felt Yoda's way of saying it wouldn't cut it, here.

Jessa looks nervous when she hears this and she looks down, running her fingers through her hair. Taking a deep breath, she looks back up and asks, "What do I have to do?"

Vex shrugged, " I'll check on Jessa. I was due to relieve her soon anyways." He replied before heading the turbolift to the bridge.

Near the Lifts
M-3TO was there waiting.
"Oh, hello, there," It said. "Can I help you?"
Before Vex could answer, Alio was passing him and leading M-3TO away.
"Yes," Alio said. "What is the food rationing situation?"
Bridge
"Clear you mind," Master Tian said. "Stretch out with your feelings."

Vex watched as Alio created a distraction for a split second, then slipped onto the turbolift and hit the button to get to the bridge. He thought the captain was just being paranoid, but Jessa was his wingmate, so he would look out for her anywhere.

Jessica still doesn't know exactly how to stretch out with her feelings. It sounded like hippie nonsense to her, but she simply nods and closes her eyes and takes a deep breath in an attempt to clear her mind and stretch out with her feelings.

As Jessa closed her eyes and focused on relaxing, she could sense a wild ball of energy approaching from underneath them.
"Yes, I sense it, too," Master Tian said. He clearly knew a lot more of the goings on then simply what he saw... Umm, eyelessly.
Vex exited the lift to see Jessa facing the ghost form of the old man from his sleep-walking dream.
"Hello, Vex." It said, turning its head to face him.

"Jessa?" Vex froze as he looked at the ghost, his tone very soft spoken "What the sithspit is going on here? Are you okay?"

Jessa is a bit surprised when she feels the wild ball of energy approaching from underneath them. "What in the hell is that?" she wonders out loud. "I felt a wild ball of energy coming from underneath the ship..?" Jessa allows the question to trail off as Vex comes in and asks her what was going on. Opening her eyes, Jessa replies, "Isn't it obvious? I was clearing my mind and stretching out with my feelings." Her tone of voice implies that any idiot should have been able to figure that out on their own without her having to tell them.

The energy was actually Vex.
Master Tian began to fade a little in the chaos.
"Both of you," Master Tian began, admonishingly. "Both of you must embrace calm if you are to become one with the living force. When Vex was calm and focused, did he not navigate a path? And Jessa, when you took that first calm step you opened yourself to see more than what normal eyes can."
The astromech R4-Q5 had triangulated their points of view and was scanning repeatedly where Master Tian stood.
"Mitichlorian count increased," it warned. "Warning: increased use => Sith detection."
"As you can see by our good friend," Master Tian said. "Only by being open to the force can we see what it means us to see. And it is right. I will need to leave soon. For now, remain passive and open to the force."

"Wihat the frack is this?" Vex said, his confusion. "Jessa, what are you doing messing around a hologram projector when you're supposed to be flying this tub. What kind of program is this anyways? Wait," he paused when he got a good look at the apparition, " Whoa, I've seen you before. In that crazy dream that had me sleep walking."

Jessa nods at Tian and is a little surprised that she had been able to sense Vex as he'd approached the room. Jessa looks over at Vex and says, "It's not a hologram projector, Vex." Raising an eyebrow, Jessa asks "You're sleep walking now? You saw Master Tian in your dream?"

Master Tian regarded Vex thoughtfully.
"It was a vision," he said, eventually. He paused thinking how to explain it. "You are both different sides of the same coin. One who is naturally attuned to the force and must learn to control their emotions. One who controls their emotions and must now learn to let them be an influence."
Master Tian smiled. "When we meet in the middle, you will be ready."

"No, when I was grabbing some rack time. Allo woke me wandering the halls after your friend had me..... practicing.....," Vex trailed off as he realized what he had been doing, " he had me playing with a lightsaber. This is crazy, I'm no Jedi, if I was I wouldn't have a kickstand". He tapped his replacement foot, scowling as he brought up a touchy subject. "Jessa, you buying this?"
