Bio: Khris was selected to be part of an experimental program when he was 19 and had just been brought into the IRA by his father after his mother passed away. He was put into Project Tracer with three other candidates to become the perfect sharpshooter. After a gruelling year, he came out of the program and put into the field for testing. Ready for fieldwork, he was assigned as a lookout and sniper for an attack against a checkpoint. The mission turned out to be a set up by British Intelligence and the entire group was captured or killed in the ensuing firefight . The next thing he knew, he was being released by the police for lack of evidence to hold him. Not knowing what else to do, he returned to the safehouse and led the police right to everyone else. The cell was rounded up by authorities, and Khris was branded a traitor. Again, with little evidence to hold him, Khris was released from custody. He gathered his things and disappeared. Two years later, he resurfaced in New York, selling his services as a Private Investigator, secretly using his Shroud identity to preform his assignments, but has decided it may be time to put his talents to better use, but he knows that Interpol has an advisory in place on him because he has been implemented in several incidents throughout Europe, though they have insufficient evidence to hold him (they have never found the weapon, only a single spent shell casing at each scene). He also realizes that should he go public, his former compatriots may come looking for an oppurtunity to get even for his part in their capture. Of the other three subjects of Project Tracer, Khris knows that one died during testing and beleives a second was killed in Glasgow in a high speed gunfight with police. The third, the only female in the program, has disappeared.(All four test subjects had the same abilities) .
Since the original team disbanded, Khris spent the next year bouncing from team to team of pulling solo operations and never really fitting in because of his abrasive personality despite more than proving his competency. After several complaints were voiced ( he never knew from whom), Khris was approached by Mr. Alexander and one of the OS instructors, One Shot, who asked him to work with a new recruit named Crosshairs. Khris agreed to meet with the new recruit and had an instant connection with the former Mossad trained British sharpshooter.
He spent the next four months working one on one to teach the intricacies that come from years of experience, while the pair of them developed a rivalry that most teachers would not tolerate, fueled by their country's fighting. Instead, Khris used it to form a close bond with his pupil, who made up for his lack of Khris' genetic enhancements with determination and raw talent. The two became
As the training time frame wound down, Mr. Travis approached Khris with a job that was tailored to his and Crosshair's talents. Khris heard him out, but didn't think that Crosshairs was ready. The student convinced Khris otherwise and he gave in. Within a week they were enroute to Africa.
On the surface, it seemed like a simple enough job. A double takeout of a arms smuggler and his warlord contact was nothing new to Shroud, but something about it nagged him as they prepped the job. When they finally had things cased and ready to go, they set up their sniper perches and waited. Two hours before the meeting was scheduled, something happened. From his hidden position, he had to watch as Crosshairs was paraded in front of the warlord, obviously discovered before he could call Khris for help. Khris never had a chance to react as the warlord summarily executed Crosshairs, and something inside him snapped. By the time he was finished, Shroud had fired four hundred rounds at anything that moved and in the process warping his Dragunov's barrel.
With his magnums drawn and still hidden in his " shroud", Khris passed through the bodies of the fallen soldiers, showing no remorse as he used the revolvers to finish off any wounded he passed until he recovered his protoge's body. He rigged the place with all the explosives they had brought with them and retreated to a safe place. When the arms dealer arrived, he detonated the explosives without waiting to make sure he had finished the job and walked away with the body over his shoulder as the warlord's complex collapsed. He brought the body make to OS headquarters, and after a heated altercation with Mr. Travis, told Mr. Alexander that he'd never train rookies again.
He was assigned to several teams, but never managed to fit in. He became more problematic than normal, to the point of disruptive. He pulled a few solo jobs, but still something was wrong. He finally broke down and requested a leave of absnce to straighten himself out. Mr. Alexander surprised him when he agreed. Khris dropped off the face of the map until he showed up a pair of fresh gunshot wounds to the back. when question about what happened, he will only tell anyone, " Never get mixed up with an ex's affairs." Whatever happened to him, it seemed to straighten him out enough that he was back to normal.

Question, any restrictions on character creation? Meaning, what abilities are not allowed, and can we use PU3 for powers?

The only restriction is no mega's. I only allow mega's when I know the person is a mature gamer, not a munckin. Other than that, it's pretty much open. I have every HU book, including all the PU books (and a good amount of other books as well). Just fire off a concept and we can discuss it.

How's the characters coming people? You don't want me to wait too long because it gives me more time to plan... and that, from past experience, is a really bad thing! Just kidding.
I've got two confirmed players, both from the original Omega Shield game. Just need a couple more to get this rolling (or role-ing, if you prefer).
I will let you know that the plan is for the game to start, as I already mentioned, in Century Station. From there it could anywhere, including (and quite possibly) into space.
If anyone needs more information about the game to help design a character, let me know.

Background: Life can be interesting. You never know when things will just do a 180 on you. If you’re not adaptable, then you’ll get left behind. If you can adapt, you never know where you’ll wind up.
My name is Dante William Hayfurst, and my father and mother raised me to use everything at my disposable to help those that need it. We had family wealth, passed down from my grandfather. My dad and mom were the first in our family to put that money to use to help people. Dad, William Franklin Hayfurst, invested in the community; he helped build clinics, orphanages, and youth centers. He spent millions on humanitarian efforts. Mom, Margaret Hayfurst, was the same way. Both of them were generous to a fault.
Dad made sure that we didn't suffer because of their giving. Our home was paid for, and the company dad founded made more than enough money to take care of us and help the unfortunate. Dad and mom both encouraged me to do the best I could in school, and then urged me on to higher learning. I grew up to have the same sense of giving my parents did. Dad taught me, whatever you have, you share.
My education focused on computers and communications so that I could join Dad in the family business. Technical things always came easy to me. I could figure out how things worked just by touching them. I just thought I was talented. While in school, I spent my spare time working out and taking up physical activities. I loved to push my body to it’s limit and back again.
Unfortunately, as I was finishing school things took a bad turn. My dad and mom were killed in an accident at one of the company’s labs. Dad said he needed to stop in and pick up some paper work on the way home from the theatre one night. Mom went up with him to his office and they were both there when the building exploded. The fallout and corporate cover up of the board of directors and the partner company ruined my family’s name, and a hostile takeover of Hayfurst Communications in its weakened state put me in a totally new tax bracket, a very low one.
I did have an education, but no one wanted me to work for them since rumors that my father was stealing from the company and responsible for the explosion that caused his death were running rampant in the business community. The attack on the family name ruined more than the company, it ruined any chance I had of living a normal life in Century Station.
Thankfully a friend of mine from school that had his own small business in Miami, hired me on, and while it wasn’t a lot of money it was enough to live in one of the more run down areas of the city, definitely not what I was used to, but at least it was not in Century Station.
Living there was a daily challenge of survival. Everyone wants what’s not theirs, so they try to take it. I always new I had some special abilities aside from my education, like my “gift” with technical things. But one night walking home I learned I had abilities beyond that “gift.”
As I walked home from the shop I was approached by seven men carrying various things they used as weapons. They wanted all my money, and the key to the shop. I was raised to help the less fortunate, but not to cater to the whims of criminals. I turned them down and told them I was good with not giving them anything. They didn’t like my answer and attacked. I used my martial arts training from school to fight them off, however there was more of them then I had been prepared for.
I was knocked off my feet by an unanticipated blow and then they descended on me. I thought I was done for as they came at me with weapons raised. I’m not afraid of anything, but at that moment all I could think of was pushing them away from me. Next thing I know they were all hurled backwards several feet. As I rose to my feet they got up and came at me again. Having already taken a couple of shots and not sure how much longer I could go on I just wanted to get away, so I saw a fire escape, and jumped for it. Next thing I knew I was 10 feet off the ground on a fire escape well above my attackers.
Hearing a siren nearby they took off, and I had time to think things over. ‘What just happened? I wanted to push them back, and they were thrown back. I wanted to jump up here, and I did. I wonder if I have powers like some of those “heroes” you hear talk about.’ With those thoughts fresh in my mind I went home. Soon I learned I did have abilities, and powers. Once I learned to use them better I decide I used them to help people in the neighborhood.
Unfortunately hero work doesn’t pay the bills, and I realized that I had to try something else. I had heard of a group called Omega Shield that handled sensitive jobs for different groups. At one time they were government sponsored, but now they were mercenaries, paying quite a bit. I had a struggle within me, due to my upbringing I felt I should use my powers to help people for free. The hungry part of me said there was nothing wrong with getting paid to help. This is where I had to adapt. I didn’t want to turn my back on how I was raised, but I needed to get paid.
So here I am, a new recruit for Omega Shield having gone through their training program and served with them for a few months. Supposedly I’m now going to be assigned to a team. Who ever thought I would be here getting ready to embark on a mission, getting paid to help people instead of doing it out of the goodness of my heart and not in Century Station running the family business and helping out that community? Like I said, life can be interesting. Adapt, or get left behind.

Patriot
Vance Rogers grew up in middle America working on his families cattle ranch until he turned 19. After his father’s death, his mother sold the ranch to pay off the debts that they owed. Having a deep love for his country for all of his life, he chose to enlist in the Marine Corp and serve as an infantryman. Serving with some distinction, though not seeing any actual combat, Vance was set to make the military his life. When 9/11 happened, Vance was on duty at the Pentagon. His training taking over, Vance worked with rescue people throughout the day trying to save those who worked there. When news of the World Trade Center reached him, he knew that there was no avoiding a war with those who attacked the country that he loved and looked forward to it. Returning from his first tour in Afghanistan, Vance was approached by his commanding officer and told that volunteers were being sought for a special forces unit and that Vance fit the criteria for the unit. Eager to do more to seek out and fight those who had attacked his country, Vance readily volunteered. What he was offered was not what he expected. Being made aware that they were volunteering for a medical experimentation to create a super-soldier, many of the volunteers declined not wishing to risk their lives as a guinea pig. Vance looked at the opportunity differently seeing it as a chance to gain abilities that would enable him to better serve his country. Although none of his volunteers’ results were the same as his, 89% of those who volunteered survived with little ill side effects including Vance. Receiving training in the use of their abilities and additional military training, Vance was the first to graduate from the training. The current administration seeing an opportunity to gain support for the continuance of the super soldier program took Vance and outfitted him with a costume, equipment and name. Introducing him during a special session of Congress, the president claimed him to be the future of the American special forces. To prove it, they would send Patriot into the heart of New York City to fight the crime that threatened the citizens there along with aiding law enforcement and homeland security by searching out terrorist cells that may be in that city. The administration’s motives are three fold. With Patriot out in the streets, it shows that the administration is working here at home to keep people safe from crime and terrorist threats. With every success Patriot has, the super soldier program gains more and more support towards continuing to man up special forces units to be used overseas. With Patriot out in the streets, with the ideals that he holds, it serves as an inspiration for others to look up and aspire to which in turn strengthens American solidarity. Patriot, while disappointed that he is not on the front in the war against terror, understands the purpose that he serves and couldn’t be prouder to serve as a living, breathing, fighting symbol of his country. Shortly after his first mission with Omega Squad, Patriot was recalled by NSA for a special op. Patriot spent the next two years bouncing from Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, former Soviet states, and finally Washington D.C. chasing down a terrorist organization that had gotten its hands on a nuclear device. Working alone most of the time, Patriot was able to track the terrorists down to Baltimore, MD. There, with the help of local SWAT and a Delta Force unit, Patriot raided the warehouse where the terrorists were staging their attack and recovered the device. Shortly after his debriefing, he recieved the call from Mr. Alexander needing him for a mission in Century Station. Not wanting to dwell on the last mission, Patriot accepted and quickly headed to meet with the new team. During his time in Afghanistan and Iraq, Patriot occasionally worked closely with Army and Marine Corp infantry units in raiding or seizing terrorists. His time with them took him back to his days in the Marine Corps. Unfortunately, he began to see a trend in the fresh recruits of today as opposed to those he had enlisted with several years before. Some were arrogant, believing that they didn't have anything to learn. Most of them got themselves killed with that attitude. Since then, he's taken to not trusting new recruits very willingly despite their level of expertise.

Bio: Miranda, a foreign exchange student, came to the US from Australia originally to go to school. She does her best to keep her powers hidden from her friends at school, not sure of how they would react to them. - Miranda is usually a very cheerful person that gets along with the people that she meets. However, whenever Miranda is stressed or upset, she tends to withdraw into herself and becomes very quiet. She enjoys running especially when things are troubling her as it helps her think about her problems and try to find a solution to them. She doesn’t lose her temper very often, but when she does, it’s usually very explosive.
Physical description: - Miranda has red hair and blue eyes; her family calls her ‘Red’, thanks to her hair and her fiery temper, but due to her powers over ice, she likes to call herself ‘Wind Chill’ ‘cause she thinks it sounds cool. - Usually can be seen in jeans and a t-shirt or sweater. Doesn’t like to get dressed up, but will for special occasions

You can PM me if you want, but what are Dante and Wind Chills goals? Any short term or long term?
Anything in particular they are hoping to achieve or find? I am putting some finishing touches on the outline and I wanted to make sure they were included.

Armor can be anything from a bullet proof vest to class 5 body armor - but Tiger can provide a 3 part body armor system.
Custom Battle Armor and Armored Clothing There are two different styles of three layer armor systems. one style can be “male or female” style, and the other is patterned after the “female” style NG “Range Rider” Riding Armor.
Tiger and each of her agents have camouflage armored battle fatigues as a uniform, customized body armor, and a black armored cloak which can be worn over the battle fatigues or the body armor.
Each item is custom fitted to a particular soldier and will be -10% to prowl, and -5 to -10% to Speed if worn by anyone else.
Camouflage Armored Battle Fatigues: A.R.: 20 with hat, gloves, and boots. (SDC: 50) weighs 13 lbs. -3% Prowl penalty.
Customized Body Armor When wearing the helmet: Complete environmental battle armor suitable for use in all environments, including space. Computer controlled, independent oxygen supply and purge system automatically engages in low oxygen or contaminated air environments. Three hour supply. Internal cooling and temperature control. Polarized visor. Built in radio headset (4 miles) and loudspeaker – 60 decibels. Female agents can wear modified suits resembling NG “Range Rider” Riding Armor. They have dull black leather hats and also the full Vaqueros helmet. The rest of the suit is also a dull, non-reflective black, although the styling is personalized and intricate, custom fit for each soldier. Weight: 11 lbs. No penalties, excellent mobility. S.D.C.: Hat – 10 (Helmet 35), Arms – 12 each, Legs – 15 each, Main Body – SDC:50)
Male and female agents can wear modified suits resembling NG “Maverick” Riding Armor. They have dull black leather hats and also the full Vaqueros helmet. The rest of the suit is also a dull, non-reflective black, although the styling is personalized and intricate, custom fit for each soldier. Weight: 11 lbs. No penalties, excellent mobility. S.D.C.: Hat – 10 (Helmet 35), Arms – 12 each, Legs – 16 each, Main Body – SDC: 55)
Armored Black Cloak: +8 SDC to arms, +10 SDC to Legs, +20 SDC to Main Body. No penalties for the person it was designed for. -10% to prowl, and -5 to -10% to Speed if worn by anyone else.

Vincent Lam aka Ionic was born in Hong Kong, China given up at birth by his mother to a local orphanage he grew up on the streets. He began life doing small stuff for the local street gangs. When he turned 15 he started to develop his superhuman abilities. This got him noticed by the Triad who recruited him and trained him to become a body guard for their leaders. When he turn 19 Triad decided to send him to San Francisco to go to school and learn in America. After studying at a UCSF he was able to track down his father using Triad connections who by now has retired from the Navy and living with this “real” family in Chinatown in Los Angeles. He was rejected by him and he quit school and ran away from everything. He was emotionally crushed. He went to Century station and doing what he can to survive but he was caught and brought to Justice. He was awaiting his court date when a gentleman claiming to represent interested parties offered him a new job and way of life. They would pardon his crime spree and clear his record provided he sign a contract and join a group known as Omega Shield. He gladly accepted. Anything was better than being thrown into Gramercy Island. He was provided money to buy gear and was set up in a modest apartment and given a monthly salary. His long term goals is to get his US Citizenship and finish school and get a degree in finance. His short term goals is to support Omega Group as best as possible.
Keep in mind Triad can’t be happy for ditching them.
