Vex eased the ship on the trajectory that presented itself, massaging the controls so the freighter made decent progress without endangering the ship. "Jess, can you keep an eye on that ImpStar? It figures out what we are up to, it may try to block us." At the same time, he continued to concentrate.

Jessa tells Vex "Shields are up." When he asks her to keep an eye on the ImpStar, Jessa nods and says, "Will do." She then watches it closely for signs of what it was going to do next

"The Star Destroyer's not changing position," Van Demme stated, sounding confused.
Shots from the Tie Fighters were piercing the rock and turbo-laser cover to hit the ship's shields. Jessa had them up quickly enough, and they easily held against the few harassment shots.
"But the fights are trying to flush us out," He continued. "No ships on our... path. Captain?"
"Continue on our path," Alio answered, before the sound of Van Demme's question had reached everyone's ears. "We need to get past this mess, not engage a capital ship like that."
As Vex flew the ship, a number of larger rocks sailed by, coming alarmingly close to this ship. Some so close they could see the individual microcraters as a it hovered past the bridge.

Vex was slipping in his comfort zone as he caressed the ship's controls, making minor adjustments to correct their path while toying with the throttle control to give slight bursts of acceleration when he could. " Captain, I get us out of this, I at least want a raise." He said softly as he focused, making another minor course adjustment.

Since Jessa hasn't heard any orders that have her doing anything other than what she was already doing, Jessa keeps an eye out on the shields and watches for danger coming their way as Vex pilots the ship.

"Sure," Alio said with a nervous chuckle, from the edge of his seat. The rocks were mighty large. "I'll pay you twice what I'm paying now."
"Pursuit decreasing" Tweeted one of the R2 units. "Capital ship knowledge of whisper <=full."
"I'm not certai -" started M3-T0
"Confirmed captain," Van Demme said, over the protocol droid. "It looks like they're... congregating on another section of the asteroid field."
"Alright." Alio said. "Get us gone."
Within moments, the new ship entered hyperspace, leaving the system.
