Calvin smirks. "I'm not looking to start anything with anyone." He glances at Gabe and Sylwia, and shrugs. "Some things happen when they're meant to. When it's time, can't be stopped. Me? Some force in this world gave me these powers. I mean to do as much good with them as I can, full stop. That's why I'm here. Just want to get settled in and get to work."
Calvin settles back into his seat, wondering when they'll arrive at this 'beach house'.

Either way no think any one would ask out so I never worry about it." She say truthfully at least the way she sees it.

Drooping his head after hearing Sylwia, Gabe thinks to himself Wow...I really need to step things up don't I? Lifting his head to respond, Gabe says "So, treat it like a business huh? We don't encourage it, but if it happens keep it professional. Still, in all honesty, I'm not sure if I want to just jump right in to a mission I know little about. When it comes to that, i'll defer to the others if they want to do so and follow their lead."

"Calvin, I'm afraid that sort of attitude will cause you to get along with Jason, though I'm not sure Alice will appreciate it." Mac smiled as he explained," Alice is the other team leader and Jason's fiance, while he is the team's black sheep. She has her hands full because he is also the senior member in the program, serving in other capacities before settling in Miami." MacColter changed his focus to Gabe, " That is up to you, and with a large team like this, multiple operations is possible and not everyone active at the same time and not all in the field at once."

"I meant the go-go-go attitude." Mac replied, glancing at Calvin," Jason is a speedster, so he is not one for standing around when he could be doing something, though Alice has toned him down a fair bit. Gabe, you and Alice should get along well since she is also psychic."

"I know not what all this means but agree with Gabe on maybe not jumping in right away. I think we get to place put stuff in and maybe go out for a beverage and tour of city as I never have been here and might be nice to see what is here other then what we see on trip of course." She says indicating the ride they are currently on. "What would be really nice and I know probably not but would love to get dressed up and head to a dance place of some sort."

Calvin chuckles. "You got me wrong. I was just... I was still talking about relationships. Just because I want to help folks doesn't mean that's all I want. But this body... um... it was given to me for a reason. Unfortunately, it attracts a lot of attention from folks who don't know what I look like in my off time. And... I can't take advantage of that. It feels like... fraud."
After a quiet moment, he adds "I've never had a meaningful relationship. I mean, I... uh... since I got my powers, I haven't tried. Before I got my powers, I was kind of a... well, an asshole. So, uh, yeah. Things that happen, happen in the fullness of time."
Calvin shifts a bit in his seat, uncomfortable with exposing this much of who he is. "As far as work goes, I'm sure you'll find me patient and rational."

Gabe thinks for a moment before replying "A psychic huh? That will be interesting. To be honest though, I'm not sure how well i'll be received. A mind reader tends to make people...uncomfortable, whether there's reason for it or not." Gabe pauses to hear Calvin before saying with a thoughtful look on his face "Well, at least you're trying to be honest about it. To be fair though, I think anyone with abilities finds the dating scene intimidating. At least, when finding anything meaningful for the long run."

"Gabe, don't fool yourself. You will fit in quite well I think. Ryne would not have recruited you if it was not the case for all of you. This team is a little bigger than what you had in Century Station or Seattle, so there can be multiple operations going on at once, so two psychics are not an issue, and the others are used to Alice's presence, so you will not cause any undue tension." He turned another corner and was stuck in a traffic hold up. MacColter groaned, " I won't tell you how to handle things socially, that is up to you, but I can vouch for every member of this team and they are all good people to work with and. each one brings a different strength to the table. I think things will be much more cohesive than you experienced in Seattle."

"Sorry about that. Like you hinted, there were some issues that happened last time we moved. Guess I let it get to me for a moment. Anyways, I personally can't wait to get settled in...And judging by your lack of response to my smoking question, i'm going to assume it would be a bad idea to light up...anywhere but my room then?" Gabe says in response with a smile.

Sylwia still mostly listening in finally interjects a bit, "Gabe? You know there are these neat things that vapo, vapo....turn clear juice into smoke." She starts off tripping on only one of the words. "They are gooder for you and can be done inside buildings but not on planes which be something I thought was odd. Still if get one of those be better for you and me not worry about you so much."

Calvin nodded. "E-cigs. They do vapor instead of smoke. Dunno if that's your thing, but there's no second-hand smoke or cigarette smell, and they don't contain any known carcinogens. It's worth a try if you're game - you can get them anywhere you can get smokes."
Calvin chuckles. "And now back to our regularly-scheduled programming."

Gabe shrugs when they bring up the e-cigs and says "With a little bit of creativity, I am not very worried about it. Yeah, the addiction part sucks, but the other negatives? Thats the nice thing about healing. Granted, my healing ability sucks compared to most others, but the effects aren't as bad as one would think...But if you all are worried that much i'll give it a try." while thinking to himself And that reminds me, I need to get my lungs checked out again. Can't hurt to be a little cautious...

MacColter replied, drumming his fingers on the wheel stuck in traffic. "Oh, enough with playing nice.," He said, pressing a button on the side of the wheel and then pulling back on the steering wheel so it telescoped. At first it looked like he was adjusting the wheel, but then a look outside it was obvious something else was occuring , the suv was lifting up and over the traffic jam at rooftops level. " Oh, by the way, you will each have a chance to learn to drive the two of these they have at the house." He smiled.
