Jason nodded," Good enough. Let's get going before somebody decides this is a bad idea." He started the SUV and pulled out of the drive, headed for the airport.
They were on the road for a bit when Jason asked," Look, I don't mean to intrude, but what's the story between you and Beth? That is one mean shiner she is trying to hide. " He paused, and then quickly apologized, " Sorry, came out wrong. Didn't mean to sound like I was accusing."
As both Alice and Long observed the interaction between Sara and Rusty, both of them started to get the impression it wasn't Angel Sara was afraid of, it was what could happen if she told Sara anything.

Sara thinks amount of how to be the bad cop without compromising the security of their house. She did not want the power to get loose and cause a dangerous ruckus. Granted, longs suggestion had some merit as Sara was getting impatient with Rusty; the game playing especially.
"All right Rusty." Sara said. "I guess we aren't going to get anywhere with you. I hate to agree to you were right. We gonna go to the next phase of our interrogation where I start doing bad things to you. We'll probably start with something light, something that will bypass your powers. A acidic gas to weaken your lungs to make it hard to breath.
"Trust me, Rusty. I know a lot of ways to cause you pain without having to take you out of that cell. Your chance to deal with us is now, officially, over. Your life of misery and pain begins now and I really don't have a hell of a lot of time."

"It's OK." Tom reassures. "And it's not my story to tell, it's hers, so if you ask her, she'll tell you if it's your business or not. I'm not trying to be hard or anything, but it's just something she'll talk about in her own time, ok? Tom leans back in the seat. "So, what's the plan again?"

To Sara, "I think I figured out where her fear is coming from. She is not afraid of us or what we can do to her. That is why she is playing this game. She is afraid of Denial. Even under custody and in her cell she thinks Denial can get to her. Since we have almost no info on him try asking her what powers and abilities Denial has."

Alice nods at Long given that she agrees with his assessment of Rusty. She continues scanning Rusty's mind in the hopes she can 'hear' something useful that will help the team.

As alice delved a bit deeper, she saw an image that was familiar. (see PM) The thoughts she gleaned sent a chill down her back.
Long was certain, by Rusty's reaction, that he was right. He could also tell by Alice's reactions, she had seen something. He could also tell Rusty was starting to get agitated.
Rusty looked at Sara and shrugged, "then open the cage and let's go. Maybe you'll put up more of a fight than that little twerp Trevor." She was on her feet, and apparently spoiling for a fight. "Would it be ironic if you finally best the one guy who always got the better of you, and then his new partner stomps your ass into a mudhole."
"Plan? right, remember who you're talking to?" Jason smirked as they pulled away. " We bluff our way into the aero port, get a look at the logs and maybe the mayor's helicopter's records and see if we can find any proof. we can figure the rest out as we go if need be, right?"

Rusty shook her head," That the best you got? Now I can see why they called you Angel with tiptoe moves like that. Tell you what, you get me something I want, I'll give you info you want. I can give you the doctor, but what is he worth?"
Jason looked at Tom as they drove, " oh come on, show a little faith. We go in, we check things out, hopefully get lucky quickly and I have you back cuddling in Beth's arms in a couple hour. Okay?" He grinned

Tom sighs and shakes his head. "You do realize the fact you just said that means we'll likely end up in a fight for our lives and running back to base empty handed and being chased by attack choppers? I just want to make sure we're on the same page here that you just jinxed us. Remind me when we get back," He emphasizes the next part "IF we get back, for me to loan you my copy of John Scalzi's Redshirts. Then you will learn to avoid The Narrative."

Alice shakes her head to clear the cobwebs and says, "Sorry, that just caught me off guard." Alice explains, "I saw an image of something I've seen before on a video. The deputy mayor went into an open doorway in an office building downtown. A few minutes later, a young oriental man came out and stopped short when he was almost hit with a mail cart. The young man went intangible just for a second when the cart was about to hit him but he was able to disguise it so no one else noticed. I only noticed because I saw the video and was able to rewind it."
Alice shrugs as she continues, "I only tell you this because just now when I was scanning Rusty's mind, I saw the same young oriental man. I think I was seeing it from Rusty's point of view because the man pointed at me and Deth came out of the shadows. Deth is already in custody and he's in teh same facility that Rusty would be sent to if we turn her in. I have a bad feeling that if we turn her in, she won't last long and that's why she is so scared."

Tom returns the grin. "you're probably right, but let's not tell our respective girls about that. They might start getting the idea we're a couple of loose cannon hotheads who should turn in their badges and guns....wait, which one of is Riggs and which one is Murtaugh?"
