Issue 21: Savage Times

Spider-Man twists and turns his upper body to move out of the way of Beetle's punches (Autododge: 1d20+16) and then shoots a web over Beetle's visor, attempting to blind him (Sticky Glob Strike: 1d20+12). "See, we're all having a good time here, right?" In the loudest "whisper" he can manage, he says "Is this what you had planned for your weekend? Didja pencil in 'Get beat up by Spider-Man in the Savage Land' in your little beetle themed date planner? Didja?"

She-Hulk fends off Goliath attempt to squeeze her and latches onto his outfit to punch him in the gut. "Give up already, will ya?"

Sauron manages to deflect Tabby's strike, setting him up to get gutted by Wolverine as he crumples.

OUTSIDE

The X-Men are assisting Atlas in his struggle against Swarm/Terminus, but they are only managing to hold their own, at best.

The Beetle is blinded by Spider-Man, but it doesn't seem to deter him. "You think I wasn't ready? That was that old loser Beetle. Meet the new and improved model!" The vents on his back open and a weird purple gas begins to vent out. "Courtesy of Oscorp, Web-sucker!"

Tally takes the hit; the force leaves her off balance as her strike goes wild.

"Out of clever things to say, dear?" Moonstone sneers. "Well, let Doctor Karla help." she makes a grab for Tally's hair.

Goliath bats away She-Hulk's attack and goes for the grab again. "you ain't gettin' away so easy!"

Quicksilver had taken a few hits from Joystick - his right eye was swelling but he had managed to gain the offensive. Meanwhile, Songbird was trying to choke out Screaming Mimi but wasn't able to get the lock she needed.

DD was about to launch his billy club at Sauron again when he collapsed. Instead he steps up next to Ghostsabre, sheaths his billy clubs and unashamedly puts an arm around her.

"He's down. I'm here. Let me help," he says as he offers to hold her up.

Grappling with the sixty foot guy was not working out like she had hope. She-Hulk tries to leap away from his attempt to grab her and opening some space up between them.

"Hope not Zemo. I'd hate to think you were second rate." she continues charges her blade. and goes into a fencing style mode. the weapon of choice was a good sword was an effective weapon in his hand. And with all the rest tied up she'd have to contend with the Egotistical one her own.

Using the 'clawed' pins and crossing then so they could act as parrying knives did Blink swung in a fashion to set up zemo. if she could maneuver him to a better attack angle it would help alot.

"I'm okay, really." Tabitha replied, despite not being able to hide she was tiring thanks to Sauron draining her and she leaned into Daredevil's hold on her. " Logan, finish him. The others are waiting on us. "

"Sure you are. Maybe, I just want to hold you close. You still owe me a date after all," DD says low enough for her to hear.

"You need a minute before you help anyone with anything," DD says still holding her.

"I'm fine, really." Tabitha replied, trying to hide she wasn't a hundred percent. " And the others might be in trouble."

Logan squats down, with blood on his hands already, slashes Sauron open from stomach to breast bone. "See you next time around," he mutters as he does.

Tally lets moonstonego for the hair in favour of using a simultaneous attack on her for aiming for her face.

Wolverine, GhostSabre and Daredevil exit the cave and witness the battle before them.

The other X-men, not fully recovered from their imprisonment by Sauron, are starting to lose momentum against the massive Terminus/Swarm Hybrid. Only Storm, Colossus and Cyclops remained standing.

Cyclops looks to Wolverine. "I'm open to suggestions, Logan. Right now we've only got one thing holding Terminus back."

That one thing being the 100 foot Atlas doing his best to hold back the monster. His body glows dark red with the black crackle of ionic energy.

She-Hulk is grabbed by Goliath. "And time for you to take a leap." As he tosses She-Hulk away (She-Hulk, roll a parry to see if you can avoid being tossed - you need a 16 or better)

Moonstone takes the hit and begins spinning Aura around by her hair.

Zemo parries Blink's strike like an expert fencer. "Excellent technique girl, you've had training - not that it will do you any good." He thumbs a hidden switch on his glove. "But now the game is won for you've stepped into my AGONY FIELD!" (Save vs. pain - PE bonus need a 15 or better)

Aura realizes her mistake and now situation especially now that she is being spun by her hair. Using her powers of flight she flies with the spin so as not to be in too much pain and punches at the hand that is holding the hair in hopes of getting her to let go.
