Spider-Man gives Atlas a thumbs up. "Of course. It wouldn't be a marvelous team-up with out a spectacular save courtesy of your amazing, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!" He grins underneath his mask and then his attention turns to his legs. "Man, why couldn't my spider-powers work through a pair of shoes? This cloth boot thing is so thin!"

Sauron is too caught up in his energy drain attack and is tackled by Wolverine, breaking contact with Tabitha. However, he turns to the Canadian X-Man. "You think you can best Sauron? Fool!" He bellows.
Tabitha is freed but dazed by the attack.
Atlas shakes his head at Spider-Man. "I still can't believe Abe's scared of you."
Songbird. "Aura, if you feel up to it, come on a flyover with me - this seems too easy. The rest of you, free these miners." He points to the enslaved villagers.

DD again lowers the freed Xman and moves on to the next one. He is so focused on freeing the Xmen he doesn't know what is happening with the other Avengers.

Spider-Man replies to Atlas "Well... I've got these..." he starts making fake webshooting motions while saying "pew! pew! pew! pew!"
Once the fun and games are over, Spider-Man heads down towards the miners. "Don't worry folks, your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is... well... maybe it's not YOUR neighborhood, but you get the... Wait, do you even speak English in the Savage Land?" Spider-Man stops for a second to scratch his head before continuing. "Klaatu barada nikto!" A few moments later, he says "Sorry, that's all I got."

Blink seeing the fighting end and no longer on escape duty helps best she can. Her mind other places the mutant was simply happy to be something other than a portal generator. This place had to be important somehow..whatever was here needed to be guarded and a labor force near it.
"I'd worry more about how many critters might consider a spider food.." blink said, as she near the cages.

1d20+2 (Sauron Strike) "Feel the Wrath of Sauron!" the dinosaur man reaches his hands up to strike Wolverine. Daredevil continues freeing the X-Men as he can detect Tabitha's weakness. Tabitha gets to her feet. (OUTSIDE) Blink and Spider-Man help free the enslaved Savage Land dwellers. Several thank them in English (something they must have learned from Kazar, no doubt). Tally and Songbird fly above the dig site, where they find massive crater, and the half-unburied giant battle armor. The faceplate is cracked and there appears to be nothing inside.  "Whoa." Songbird responds. "Well...that's something."

She-Hulk goes through the process of freeing the Miners and accepts their gratitude with a smile. She then went about securing the creeps they just beaten the best way they could. Perferring to twist and bend any metal rails that they won't be using anymore till they got their mission finished. Barring that, using ropes

"Should we investigate it or just report it back to the others first?" Tally asks doing the round trip fly by. "It is huge whatever it is." Swooping in low to take a closer look not sure what it is.

Weak, but not out of it, Tabitha couldn't let Wolverine have all the fun. And quickly as her wobbly legs would let her, she put herself in Sauron's path, but this time she went intangible and goaded Sauron, trying to give Logan an opening," Come on you big leatherbacked chicken, try that crap again!"

Inside the cave 1d20+5Sauron's head bounces against the floor as Logan's punch lands with a crack. "I will strip the flesh from your bones!" He tries to grab onto Logan's face for draining attack. 1d20+2(Tabitha, roll strike and damage) Daredevil is almost done freeing the X-Men, but his superhearing can pick up a sound coming from outside. A loud buzz.... Outside, the freed villagers respond "They had us unburying the armor of the silver giant." "Silver Giant? Those are never good words." Quicksilver sighs. "It's worse than you think, Quicksilver. It's Terminus." Songbird says as she lands. "Uh...ok Mel, I'll bite -" Atlas starts. "Intergalactic entity on par with Galactus that wants to strip mine the planet of its resources. According to the Avengers files. She-Hulk wrote about her initial encounter with them when she was with the FF - Mr. Fantastic ...hit him with the planet - long story. After that there's been spotty appearances, but his armor is the most dangerous thing about him." "INDEED IT IS!" You hear a cry out from above. The team turns to find Zemo and his Masters of Evil perched on a cliff above. Moonstone and Joystick stand with the new Goliath, Screaming Mimi, Beetle, and the android Techno. "Which is why it will belong to Baron Zemo and the true Masters of the World!" Songbird sneers. "What makes you think you can get past us, Zemo?" "Ah, that is simplicity itself, Songbird. I've already recruited the force to animate the Terminus armor - an old associate of my grandfather's - Professor Fritz von Meyer - you may have known him as SWARM." And then a man made of bees is flying above you.  The sky blackens with the bees that follow him and dart off for the giant armor. Songbird looks at the team and hits her communicard. "AVENGERS PRIORITY! ASSEMBLE!" |
