Issue 20: A Well Deserved Rest

Iron Man's mask flipped up and Tony looked at Captain America, "Next time you jump off the roof with the guy you know is going to blow up. That sucked." He grabbed Cap's arm and pulled himself to his feet. "You know we have a car just like this at the mansion. Jenn like to.....," he hesitated, then looked at Cap," You can tell her we crushed her car."


Kitty was able to intercept Juggernaut in time to prevent him from crashing through another support wall, but this time he wasn,t able to turn and get ahold of her.

Madam Masque turned to face Daredevil, her hand going for a pistol on her hip as her two minions stopped packing duffel bags full of cash and documents. "Nice of you and your lot to try to save me from Hammerhead's mercenaries, hero. Now you going to arrest me?" At that moment, Tabitha turned and and said aloud, " Mom!" If he 'looks' DD can see Kitty on Juggernaut's back. Masque took the distraction to shoo her minions out the back door with two of the duffel bags.

Aura could feel Melissa shift in her grip just as she looked up to see Juggernaut bearing down on them when Tabitha stood in front of them. Juggernaut smiled as if to plow right through, but apparently hadn't counted on Ghostsabre being intangible too and what would happen as the two collided. Tabitha sprawled backwards over Aura and Kitty did as well, the two landing in a heap while Juggernaut was stopped, stumbled back to sit on his butt, the impact knocking his helmet free. "That was fun, let's do it again!"


Spiderman had Absorbing Man webbed, but Creel was merely laughing," Come on, Spidey wrap me up good so it's more fun to bust out and squash you flat!"

Hawkeye had returned and intervened, "Spidey, enough. Creel. Cut your losses, take Titania and go before She Hulk seriously hurts her, she's getting mad now."

"You'd let us walk?"

"To save innocent people, yes."

Creel's eyes narrowed, "Deal."


Titannia did not answer She Hulk, but suddenly she felt a firm grasp on her shoulder spin her around.

Waiting for her opening, Blink finally saw it as the collision took place.

"Bout dammed time...How am supposed I do anything if he's always Phased?" she growled, firing her pin. and quickly following through after Juggernot. Not in the best of moods, she'd keep porting him till they were well clear of the city if she could.

Logan sighs seeing Juggernaut smash through the wall. "...ah damnit...Hey Marko! Still unstoppable since last time our paths crossed?"

Aura has little time to figure out exactly what just happened and realizes that she still has a task at hand and has little power of use here. "I am getting her out of here." She says at which point she floats up and out of the way of any urgent harm while scanning the area for either a easily accessible door or even if need be a window above.

Spider-Man swings out of the room and off to find Cap and Shellhead.

The shout of 'Mom!' distracted Kitty for a moment, and in the next moment she was in the heap. With a little groan, she picks herself up from the floor and looks around quickly to take in what is going on then moving to help Ghostsabre to her feet.

Blinks comment draws a smirk. "Just trying to keep him from taking the house down.." she growls in response, then looks to the others, assessing the situation.

When Masque goes for her gun DD pulls his billy club up to a throwing position, "Don't," he says. "If I wanted to I could have hit you when your back was turned. I think there may be explo..." he starts to say before being interuppted by Tabby.

He diverts his attention from Masque and her goons and tries to "see" what Tabby meant when she said "Mom" using his abilities. (if intangible, not sure how his radar will work)

She-Hulk felt someone grab her and spend her around. The fact they weren't introducing themselves and it wasn't Titannia boasting about how she was beating her lead her to believe someone else was getting involved. She resists the urge to punch them into next week, but balls her fist up.

"Alright, whoever you are, your about to go to a hospital."

Blurry from the eye damage, She Hulk saw the hand pull away, and grow much larger as a second one appeared next to it, giving away it was Atlas. "Relax, Titannia is taken care of. You okay?" Though she couldn't make him out, fuzzy shapes were starting to appear but not enough to make much sense.


Spiderman arrived just as Cap got Iron Man back on his feet. "Hang on, running diagnostic. Haven't seen Nitro since he went boom though, but he has to be close. Sorry Cap," with a bit of a sputter, Iron Man's repulsors engaged and he lifted off the ground to hover, " I'm still in this fight."

"Oh what a touching scene. Enough to bring the house down." Nitro bellowed from the edge of the roof looking down at the trio, his body already starting to indicate he was preparing another, and larger, blast.


Juggernaut turned to Wolverine and. smiled wickedly. "Logan, old buddy, old pal. It's been ages since I kicked your...," his voice was drowned out by the section of wall beinf rended from the floor and then thrown at Wolverine 1d20+8

As Blink contemplated her next move, Hawkeye patted her on the shoulder, "Teleport him out of here. The Harbour, the Raft's front door, Cleveland, I don't care. Just do it."


Daredevil saw Tabby disappear, then she reappeared in a heap just as Juggernaut reappeared knocked on his butt, and Kitty went to Tabitha's side. Masque spoke up, "You heroes save the day again. I thank you for the assist, but now I have to go." She tossed a flash bang grenade at the distracted Daredevil, which exploded at his feet. ( roll vs roll with punch to lessen effects)


Tabitha sat up with Kitty's help, but she had taken the worst of the impact. She tried to get to her feet, but stumbled and came out with a slurred, "Ow." She wiped blood from her nose and a split lip. " Thut wus stooopid." She had a far away look in her eyes.


Aura buzzed around the ceiling with Songbird in her arms. She didn't see an exit that wouldn't require putting Melissa at risk. She did however see Tabby and Kitty, and she could tell her friend was in trouble.

Concerned, Kitty lead Tabitha over to a nearby chair/bench/someplace safe to sit. "Stay here.. I think you might have a concussion.." she murmurs, noticing the far-away look in the other heroine's eyes. "Phase out and stay that way for a few, ok? No need to make it worse!"

At that, Kitty turns to survey the area, trying to judge the threats still present. Juggernaut, Nitro.. big boys she couldn't hope to handle on her own.

"Avengers, take him down quick!" Cap bellows as he tosses his shield. Instincts from a thousand battles tell him not to engage directly, so he aims his shield not at where his opponent is, but to nearly miss him, and then rebound off the streetlight into the back of where his head will bet to knock him off.

"Well, that portal I just made under his ass as he sat on the floor is F'n useless." She blurted clearly getting frustrated at the seeming ineffectiveness of her mutant powers and walked up to and placed a hand on juggernot and teleported her self and him away since all 4 attempts to make portals completely and utter were failures.

As blink approached she was ready to dodge. should she dodge she'd land in a place to teleport him.

Tally knows that she can help to a degree but only mildly as such still holding Songbird in her arms she dives down to put herself between Kitty and Tabitha but gently puts down songbird with them. "Get them out of here!" At which point the blasts again with a bright light at any approaching in hopes to blind them temporarily.

Part of She-Hulk is relieved that its Atlas giving her a start; the other part still wants to ship Titanna to another country via fist-express.

"No, I can't see and I'm tic'ed off." She-Hulk exclaims. "Where did steroid barbie get off too? I still owe her for hurting Melissa."
