"There should be a sign here pointing the way to the morgue." Long looks around for anything that says 'morgue' or 'medical examiner's office'. Then head off in that direction.

"We're on the right floor. The place smells like formaldehyde." Sara says. She reaches into an inside pocket and downs two aspirin tablets, swallowing hard. She was starting to get a headache from the constant state of tense readiness Sara was in. She looks about the hallway, for a sign or something to direct them to where they need to go. The problem with her was knowing that Homicide could be close by and not being able to do anything about it right now. Maybe it was the lack of doing something that was grating her nerves.
She should complain though, the last time she leap into action she had to come back to the house and get patched up.

There were overhead signs for the different departments, and one of them indicated to the left of the elevators for the Coroner's office and mortuary. To the right was, among other things, the psychiatric ward.
Trevor muttered, "Only come down here if your dead or crazy. Bet they don't get alot of visitors."
The woman that had been on the elevator with them looked at Long as she stopped before entering the staffroom. "Excuse me, did you say you were looking for the morgue? I might be able to help you."

"Thank you ma'am. I am Officer Fu with Miami P.D. (Indicating the shield clipped to his belt.) We need to speak with the medical examiner. We heard there might actually be two that work out of this hospital. A man and a woman?

Tom wheels towards the morgue, letting the others handle the cover.

Sara walks along with the others, kinda hanging back to watch the tear of their troupe. No reason to let their guard down now.

The young doctor looked a bit unnerved," That will be a bit difficult, considering he had a nervous breakdown and had to be committed after he tried to commit suicide two days ago. I'm Dr. Guest, I'm his temporary replacement. What can I help you with, officer?"

"That is troublesome." Long cannot hide a look of frustration. "Can you tell me what was the doctor working on just before his breakdown?"

Tom is looking about for any clues.

Sara meh's upon hearing that the doctor they are looking for isn't here, and probably been committed. A sign he's been up to something or the stress of the job finally caused him to crack. Like Tom she looks around to see if there is anything worth noting.

"Yeah, sure, but it is probably easier to just show you.""Dr.Guest said, walking towards the Coroner's office. As she led them, she spoke up,Ït's rather funny that you show up on your own. I was going to call about some irregularities, but the administration asked me to wait until I had gone through everything to have all the facts sorted out".
As they entered the office, there was a stack of file folders on the edge of an otherwise empty desk, each with a dated tab. Ïn the past three years, there have been seventeen cases where a body was brought in, but there is no paperwork for a release, or records of where it went, which means legally it should still be here. And I can't find out where they went."
As they headed into the office, Tom noticed that Dr.Guest's companion from the elevator was paying close attention to the team. Sara noticed it too, and that he was texting someone at the same time. All three members of the team noticed Trevor tensing up as he looked at the stack of files.

Long picks up the file on the top of the stack and casually flips through it. "Have you noticed anything strange in these files regarding the bodies? Were any of them mutants or otherwise obviously not normal?"

Tom spoke up. "Irregularities? how?" not sure of the companion's intention, but deciding to play it safe, he projected a magnetic field to disrupt the cellphone's reception.

Sara sets the motorcycle helmet on the desk, just to free up her hands. The guy on the phone had piqued her curiosity. Considering what they were dealing with he was about to put himself on the list of important people they may need to question; preferably when there weren't too many other folks around. Deciding to wait for the moment she walks around the room, checking it over for anything strange or unusual.
If bodies were disappearing from here their had to be a way to get them out. That is provided they did not simply walk out on their own.

"Well he didn't keep accurate records all the time, so there are some gaps and irregularities, not to mention he is missing some patients. Or at least his records in and out don't add up." dr.Guest said , sitting down on the edge of her desk. "Or at least his records against the admittance make it appear so. On top of that, the guy was a creep. Most people in the hospital thought he was happier with corpses than he was with the living." She thought for a moment, " Now that you mention it, there hasn't been an abnormal or whatever you call them in here in nearly four years according to records. No confirmed ones, anyways."
