hello all, it's been years since I've been here and I'm happy to say that I'm in need of some excitement. I have been wanting to do a free form game for a while and was wondering what you all thought of it.
Idea: The worlds of Marvel and DC have combined, this is the nexus, the world that is at the edge of both universes but does not combine like the last time these two worlds collided (see Marvel V. DC for examples). In this world, all the super heroes from these two universes have appeared individually.
10 years ago, in the year 2001, the Justice league formed. They came together to battle the Apolaxians, a race of energy beings who use elemental host bodies. Since that day, the S.H.I.E.L.D. protocal was enacted, a U.N. super military who's goal is to keep the world safe...even from the Justice League.
Batman has since seen younger heroes emerge. In an effort to train these children and mold them into the future members of the Justice League, he has enacted the Young Justice Program. Only hand picked heroes are allowed to join, and the Young Justice Program officially does not exist (they will simply be known as "The Team").
The Justice League consists of Superman, Batman, Green Lantern (Hal Jordon), Aquaman, Flash, Wonder Woman, and the Martian Manhunter. Newer members include Green Lantern (John Stewart), Hawkman, Hawkwoman, Green Arrow, Red Tornado, Shazam (Captain Marvel), Black Canary, Thor, and Hercules.
S.H.I.E.L.D. however consists of Captain America, Mockingbird, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Nick Fury, Ant Man (Pym), Wasp, and Iron Man.
The Xavier Institute has connections with Batman (Xavier and Bruce Wayne run in the same circles) and the staff consists of Hank McCoy (Beast), Ororo Monroe (Storm), Xavier, and Emma Frost (White Queen). More will be added to the staff as players join (someone wanting to play a teenaged Scott Summers or Jean Grey will be allowed, but once they're put as staff, they will no longer be allowed).
Solo Heroes not affiliated with a team are numerous, and yes, Wolverine is still out there in the world. He's not an X-Man...yet.
The goal is to create a teenage hero from the numerous heroes of DC and Marvel. Ages consist from 13-17. Moreso, there could be information not put into the background that is secretive between myself and the player. This follows the young justice style of storyline and not having everything in the background is okay. Everything will be dated to keep continuality. Also, there's some behind the scenes number crunching that I will do, you do not need to worry about stats, just your writing.
What do you all think?
