Flip smiles, "well I wont mind the company, but I need to stretch out my legs some. Too much time sitting in one spot. Just stiff."

The Bridge

OOC: It should be noted the ship had already landed, as Jessica was already loading stuff. In any event...

"Actually, McKenna, you stay on the bridge, until Foreman's back," Tawfeek said. "I'm going to lie down."

"Foreman, you have the con until the Lieutennant is back."

And he left the bridge, with a cough that sounded burblier than before.

In the cargo hold

"Well, the last hauler was nearly refused delivering a water shipment, until he recited some speech," The Loader said. "Rich guys, I tell you. If I had that kind of money, though, I don't know if I would do anything different."

"Okay." McKenna replied with a nod to Tawfeek, though she arched a brow at the captain's cough with a bit of concern. "Flip, go grab your coffee, I can watch things, just give me a second." Without waiting for a reply, she got up and followed Tawfeek. Once the bridge doors closed behind her, she called after him," Captain, can I have a second? You don't sound the greatest."

Flip nods, "sure thing MJ," he says as he watches her leave the bridge, he followed her the entire way with his eyes.

He thought about how their relationship has gone no where fast. He knows he held a lot of the blame. He thinks, 'guess I need to decide what I want and see if I can live with things the way she wants."

In Front of the door to Tawfeek's Quarters

Even with a simple visual diagnosis, McKenna had a pretty solid idea of what was wrong: Tawfeek was sick, with signs of chest congestion and the start of a fever. (Probably means he has a cold and could pass it on to the other crew, and with a job and all... )

McKenna arched a brow at Tawfeek, "Cap, you best stay in bed until we make this delivery. Jess and flip can handle this, and"Mengsk and I'll try not to get in the way." she smirked. " Go, we'll be fine. If it starts getting any worse, lety me know and I'll see what I can do to help."

Jessica nods as she continues to listen to the loader talk. She grins and adds, "I'm not sure what I would do differently if I suddenly won the lottery."

On the Bridge

Foreman could see the busy-beaver teamsters as they get the last of the associated supplies for the trip loaded on. By the crates, it looked like they were bring food and other supplies, as well.

In the hall outside Tawfeek's quarters

"Yeah. Lie down. Got it, Doc," Tawfeek said, heading in. "Wake me up in a few hours, alright?"

In the hold-observing-room- thing

Mensk was waiting for Jessica to mention the clips.

"If you have the tie-downs, they'll help," The loader said to Mensk. "But the crates we use are meant to take punishment. Part of the extra-platinum fee."

Jessica could see on the list that they were also shipping some basic supplies to the station.

McKenna nodded," And maybe some chicken soup if you're a good boy and listen to doctor's orders." She chuckled and then returned to the bridge. she retook her seat and said, " He's got a bug, but I think he'll be okay with some rest. You can go get your coffee now if you want. I can watch things."

[Dome]

Flip watched MJ return almost the same way he had watch her leave. He says, "MJ, I...uh.... yeah I'll be right back." MJ could probably tell he was going to say something else

He turns quickly and leaves the bridge before she could say anything. He heads for the galley. There, he puts a pot of coffee on. As he waits for the coffee to finish he thinks, 'that was stupid, you had her right there, you should have just said whats on your mind. Now you'll get back and Mensk will be there, or even worse, Jess. Oh well suck it up and let it go."

[Dome]

Once the coffee finished and he re-filled his cup and another for MJ, Flip returns to the bridge. He hands her the other cup. "Thanks for covering for me," he says before taking a sip of his cup and then sitting at his controls.

McKenna accepted the cup with a warm smile. "Thanks."With two hands cupping the mug, she took a sip. "No problem. It's easy when nothing is going on.

[Dome]

Flip nods as he looks at the instruments, not really doing anything, but trying to look busy, "yep pretty easy this way. Cap doing ok," he asks her without looking up.

Engineering: Mechanical [dice=100] pass


"I have some tie downs. just because somethings rated to take damage doesn't mean we need to test it." he grins. I'll see to keeping the crates secured, I have some ties to hold them here." he took few clamps down that held on to gaps in the cargo bay floors grills.

They were added to allow a number of sizes and brands of safeties. and could in a pinch could hold down smaller craft such as the car they needed to transport.

"He'll be fine with some rest I think." McKenna replied, pulling her legs up beneath her and taking another sip of her coffee. "Once we get underway, I'll check in on him but I think all he needs is some down time. Cripes knows he over does it." She notices him at the controls and and gulped guiltily, " Oh, did I forget to do something?"
