Rob's jaw drops as Bryan starts poking the house with a stick."Hey man don't do that we don't want anyone inside to think that we are trying to get at them and kill them." Rob will start around the house to the carport side still staying away from the house and will scan this area before moving back to the front.Rob will check the ground also for any foot prints just in case. GM POST
Bryan sees through the broken window into the gloomy interior of a bed room and an inside door standing wide open leading to a darkened hallway. From where you're standing, you don't hear or see anyone or anything inside this part of the house.
Rob's observation of the ground doesn't turn up anything unusual, except a few tracks made by a small animal. The only human tracks he'll see are their own.
Patty follows behind Rob into the shade of the carport, her eyes watching the house was through her sunglasses. Suddenly, she pulls her shotgun to her shoulder, taking aim and screams out to you, “Watch out! Two zombies coming out the back door!”
The zombies, the pair with skinned stretched painfully over their thin frames, sprint through the door making a straight line for Patty and Rob.
Bryan, who is standing beside the house, sees another zombie emerge, only this one is different. Different by about four hundred pounds of rotting fat and flesh. The gray-skinned behemoth stands bare chested in the doorway, dressed in tattered sweat pants, stupidly watching the other two zombies close in on your companions. Then it's small head turns in Bryan's direction, it's mouth hanging open loosely. Then the creatures bellows out it's moan and staggers towards you, short stubby fingers twitching as it reaches out for you.
Patty and Rob are currently 30 feet from the zombies charging them.
Bryan is 30 feet from the fat zombie.
Combat Round begins now. Roll initiative and detail your actions.
Bernie, Mac and Anne are currently unaware of the situation at the house for the moment.

Bernie heard gunfire and winced. So much for the element of surprise, and even more, so much for kids trapped in a home.
"Trouble," he hissed.
He gestured to the group, pointing out the group that went around one side of the house. He indicated the rest of the team should go around the other side of the house, to catch whomever, or whatever came out of it in a crossfire.
He hated to be an Indian giver, but with his pistol in Anna's trust, he was just down to knives. He took his shotgun back from Bobbie. "You don't want me to be the tool that brings a knife to a gunfight, do you? Let's go make sure nobody we know ends up as Purina Zombie Chow. We move together to back them up. Use firearms now. "
At that, he took off the safety and took off at forced-march pace, not a sprint, around the other side of the house. He knew some were faster than others, and a good even pace would be plenty. Bryan, Rob and Patty, he trusted to keep themselves safe, and by volume of gunfire, were doing just so.
In the mean time, he looked out for zombies, tweekers or whatever was attacking his people.

GM POST
The fight is surprisingly fast and furious with this trio of zombies.
The thin zombies sprint towards Patty and Rob, while the both of you stand your ground and blast away with your shotguns at the incoming undead. Both of you manage to get off two shots each before the zombies close in, each scoring one hit each, the buckshot blowing open fist size holes. The thin zombies shrug off the hits, each one trying to leap on you, but one misses completely and the other is battered aside by Rob's shotgun.
As the zombies gather for another attack, Patty fires and misses the zombie, disintegrating the tumbleweed that was caught under the car port. Rob steps in and slams the stock of his shotgun into the damned monster, bones loudly breaking from the blow, but despite the hit the zombie continues after Patty trying to push her over only to have her shove it aside with her shotgun. The other zombie shrieks and tries to knock Rob over but only manages to stumble over its own to big feet.
Seeing Rob under attack, Patty wheels around and fires again peppering it with another load of buckshot. Rob follows up on his last attack, flipping the shotgun around and firing on the zombie that attacked Patty, blasting the zombie backwards off the carport, the damn thing landing on the sandy ground with a bone crunching flop. It spasms and jerks a twice then lays still. Their fight continues with one zombie remaining.
Bryan is dimly aware of Rob and Patty's fight, your immediate attention taken up with the hulking zombie that stumbled out of the house and now making a beeline straight for you. The creature is almost comical, it's legs almost bowed by its immense weight, his flabby arms wheeling back and forth as it staggers towards you. It's probably moving faster in death now then it ever did in life.
What's not so funny for Bryan is that it's moving faster then a normal zombie. Not as fast at the thin ones, but fast enough. With it closing fast, he open up on the fatty firing twice with his shotgun, the buckshot tearing holes into it's neck, shoulders and chest. But the shots don't phase it in the least and tries to barrel into him. Bryan manages to keep from being knocked down by its charge only pushing off of the creature a the last moment. You almost manage to slip out of range when you feel the zombie's cold, flabby hand clamp down on your upper arm, but luckily he twists away from the deathly grip at the last moment.
Choosing discretion over valor, Bryan puts some distance between him and the fatty. Bryan is now 17 yards from the zombie that's staring at him with all the enthusiasm of a Denny's buffet.
End Round 1.
Start Round 2.
Bryan and Rob roll you init.
Anna, Bernie and Mac your hear the moans and shooting coming from the house. You scouting party is in trouble. You three are not in any immediate danger. The house to the south is 280 yards from where you currently standing, so it's going to take you a bit to get to them. Roll init and let me know what you're going to do.

Joe heard the shots and flinch, fearing the rest for the guys they sent ahead. when the others start moving towards the house he is not hesitant in going with them. He raises his shot gun up and goes around the house where Bryan went to see what was going on and maybe help flank any body not in their group. When he sees the bloated walker, he gets a disgusted look on his face.
"Damn, that is a bad way to go."

GM POST
No sooner did the words leave Rob's mouth then Patty stepped up to the final thin zombie, swinging the butt of her shotgun into it's chest. He hears the crack and pop of bones breaking as the zombie's chest collapses inwards, the power of the blow knocking it to the cement floor of the car port. It does not get up again. The pale girl turns and nods to Rob, then follows after him to the corner of the house where they unload several shots into the giant zombie chasing after Bryan, both only managing to score one hit each that seemed to do in real harm to the damned thing.
Bryan turns and fires at the oncoming tub of rotting lard, his well aimed shot striking it's head, the blast gouging and tearing away large chunks of it's face and scalp but fails to kill it. Sporting a pocked marked grin, the fatty quickly waddles towards him as before, arms outstretched now, it's fat body absorbing two more shotgun blasts before it suddenly surges forward again, trying to knock Bryan over with the bulk of its body. Bryan uses his shotgun again to roll away from the fat corpse, returning the favor by blasting another hole into the zombie's flabby middle. Fatty wheels around slowly, looking almost to be squaring off against the bartender and his little shotgun.
Anna is the fastest of the trio running to help the scouting party, covering 200 yards in quick order. She sees Patty and Rob at the corner of the house aiming at what is the fattest zombie she's ever seen, which is now facing Bryan. They are 80 yards from your position, close enough now for you to make use of your rifle.
Bernie trails close behind his sister-in-law, covering 155 yards. You can see what the same situation as Anna.
Big Mac, moving with the speed of the turtle, covers only 65 yards. You can see Bernie and Anna, and hear a whole lot of shooting.
END OF ROUND 2 ROUNd 3 BEGINS. ROLL INIT.

Bernie knew he was at the limit of his shotgun's range, and Anna was closer and a better shot, but he couldn't let Bryan face the ogre zombie without some support. Bernie circled so nobody would be in his line of fire, other than a zombie. He aimed his shotgun at the giant's head and swore.
"You look like my gym teacher." And then he fired.

"Not so fast, Roundboy. You and me are going to have some laughs," Bernie called quoting an old movie about the strange and unusual.
At that, and with ample gunfire, he scanned the second house, then looked over to Bobbie to make sure he was safe, and not stealing a weapon or vehicle. Then he scanned the horizon to make sure no more groaners were coming in.
He used three actions to check for trouble, and to scan the road for inbound vehicles, assuming he was not under attack. He also did a quick search to make sure Bobbie hadn't found trouble.
If the rotund zombie stayed up, he would fire again, if not fighting groaners off. If completely dead, he saves the shot.

Mac Trails behind the rest, but keeps chugging along. He really needs to get back into shape after spending so much time in the truck, he was starting to loose his physical edge. Seeing the fat blob getting pelted with buckshot, it would appear that it wasn't going to be lasting very much longer. He continues to proceed to the fight, getting ready to fire on the zombie if its still putting up a fight. Judging by the size that could be the case.
