"House-to-house could make for some hard fighting, if Zeke's at home." Bernie groaned in the tiny chair.
"Maybe we should scope out the furniture store...
"...It might be worthwhile to go house to house. We could get some canned goods and non-perishables, but yous guys aren't light on food right now. Flashlight batteries, bottled water, and maybe raid a few medicine chests, if tweekers and pill-poppers didn't get there first. Looking at your map, Willcox looks like a good opportunity. There is a school that can provide us with some much-needed chemicals, for medicine production, explosives and water purification. Furthermore, there is a hospital, and we know you need medical supplies. It was a pretty small town, and other than the hospital, no real place to take the sick."
He sipped his coffee, which he enjoyed black. "I'll do your store as a dry run. Make sure we can work together, but I think we've got a little chemistry. We'll do a couple of smash-and-grabs in homes. Maybe we'll get lucky, maybe not. Then, I think we need to look at a bigger prize in Willcox.
"This chair is giving me scoliosis!"

"The inside of the truck isn't exactly design to haul anything too big. We can stuff lots of bags of stuff in it though, provided I don't need the space for people to climb in."
Hell, if things went side ways they probably be grabbing onto anything on the outside or the back of the truck in the attempt to get away. Joe had been meaning to put hand grips on the truck for that occasion.
"The truck is ready to go when ya'll are."

"Hey that's right you don't have a trailer right now do you Joe."Looking at Joe with a surprised look. Rob turns to Patty and Buckley "Is there a truck stop or a u-haul near here that we can get a bigger van or trailer for Joe."

After patiently listening to Buckley and Patty and the rest of the group,Bryan sighs "I think the fact that we didnt come here guns blazing is a pretty good indicator were not here to take over Cochise ,hell i rode up on a bike,If your town needs help just ask for it." "Dont need to hold my weapons as leverage.if Patty is this towns go getter and she has a plan ill help. But after this no more questioning my intentions or loyalties." "I put my trust in you when igave you my weapons now its time to get some of that trust back."

Anna waits for everyone to be ready to go and to be given back her rifle so they can get the show on the road.

GM POST
“Yeah, I know about the hospital in Wilcox. Believe, it's crossed my mind a time or two about heading up there and seeing what's left. But I've put it off since it's so close to the town. Don't wanna accidentally lead the zombies to us.”
“Let's do this run, and we'll talk about making a run uptown later.”
Patty starts for the door and says to Big Mac, “I'm sorry. I meant to say we find a trailer for your truck to pull, that way we could haul more loot as we find it, especially the bigger stuff.” She stops at the door, waiting for the rest of you to join before leading you out of the office, walking in the direction of the armory. “I think there's a truck stop up in Wilcox we can check out later or I suppose we could salvage one from one of the truck that we abandoned along the road. Plenty of those everywhere.”
“Something else I ought to let you know. We're going to be taking Bobbie Suarez with us. He's the guy you met in the cafeteria the day you arrived, the one at the bar. He's been bitching long and hard about getting his gun back that they decided to send him along. They're hoping he'll start pulling his wait around here. Personally, I think they just want to get rid of him for a few hours so they don't have to listen to him.”

"Sounds like a plan." Bernie nodded and followed Patty to the door. "We're not too far from I-10. We could probably get a trailer there with little trouble. If this is just a small-scale run, we could maybe make do with some vans this time out."
Bernie looked a little disappointed about Suarez. "I guess that's the key word right there, if he pulls his weight. If he's hung over or slows us down or does a lot of bitching, we'd be better off without him. If he's going to fight zombies and help us with the loading, then he's welcome."
He looked back to Anna. "We're going to have to watch him closely. Anyhow, let's get the show on the road."

Satisfied that he made his point Bryan wipes down the bar a force of habit hed probably never break. As Patty and Bernie discuss the details of the run he listens and as usual thus far feels Bernies plan is sound. He was starting to gain an honest admiration for the man and with the rest of the group as well. Getting his guns back sounded good to him,and zombies serent the only reason he carried them."Ill keep an eye on Bobbi,no worries."

Anna nods at Justin at his remark that they need to watch Suarez. Despite, Bryan's offer to watch Suarez, Anna thinks 'There are only two people in this group I trust and Bryan's not one of them.' Anna heads to the armory with the rest of the group, looking forward to having her rifle back.

Taking a thin silver flask from his pocket he fills it with Wild Turkey, before coming from around the bar and joining the rest of the group. What a releif they werent turning out like the last group he thought to himself as he fell in rank and made their way to the armory. He could of lead them there himself he knew the way well enough, the armory the food stores and where they kept the vehicles. These places Bryan took note of just in case he might need to find them in a hurry.

Joe walks with the rest to get their gear to get on the road again. First real time he put down stakes in a town. Normally if life hadn't descended into a zombie infested hell, he would be trucking along to the next paying job. Yeah, those were the good times. Now they had less of those and moreof the running form the perpetually starving hordes.
He collects his shotgun and puts the pistol with the slide holster at his side. He looks at the machinegun and shrugs his shoulders.
"I don't think we have to worry about bandits, right?"
Once they are set with that question (he'll pack the machinegun in case there are roving bandits in the area) an dgoes to mount up in the truck.
"Anybody else wants to hope in, I could use someone in the shotgun seat."

Bernie found his shotgun and gave it a check-over. Not that he didn't trust the good people of Cochise, but he didn't trust anyone anymore. Then he loaded up, this time selecting buckshot. Next was his pistol, he checked the hammer and firing pin in the World War II relic and slapped in a clip, chambered a bullet and lowered the hammer gently. He dropped the clip, replaced the bullet and slapped it back into the weapon. Then, he passed the pistol to his sister-in-law.
He could handle a few things up close with knives or his shotgun, but Anna might need a higher volume than a bolt-action could provide.
He briefly removed his bandolier of blades and added a black riot vest emblazoned with the letters CHP and with a badge of a seven-pointed star. The vest was festooned with shotgun shells, and a couple of hand grenades. The ALICE gear of knives and first aid supplies went back on over the vest. The shotgun went over his shoulder in a scabbard.
"I guess we're going in the Land Rover. Hey Mac, you want us to take point?"

Finding his SIG still holstered and folded in its shoulder rig,he felt pretty sure it hadnt been touched.Still he inspected the weapon and loaded it chambering a round and safety on.Taking a moment he adjusts the shoulder rig over a levis denim button down shirt.Inspecting the Mossberg he is pleased it is as he left it taking shells from his cargo pocket he loads the gun,and fills the slots on the sling and top rail,he also pulls a few out and puts them in his right back pocket.Putting on his sunglasses and grabbing his backpack he smiles,"guess im ready.Who am i ridding with?"

"Sure thing Bernie." Joe says. "Anything that needs to be plowed aside to just radio it to me and I'll do the rest." He smirks at the thought of running debris off the road. Should be the fun part of the job. He tells the rest his radio freq so they can stay in contact.
He fills the drum for the Saiga with buckshot and loads the .357 with regular ball ammo. Nothing fancy, not against what they were dealing with.
"I got an seat in the truck, if you want to ride high."
