Issue 19: Family Matters

"You really want to fight me? Just because I pointed out you were bluffing? If that's what you want, fine by me but I gotta warn you, your better off just admitting I'm right and calling it a day," the Man Without Fear answers some what smugly. He didn't know what Zemo could do, but he supposed he would soon find out.

"Is there at least gonna be popcorn? Wait... How come I don't get to fight you? I talked WAY better mess!" Spider-Man gesticulates wildly while speaking.

"Same reason I didn't fight with you, Spidey."Tabitha said as she smirked, "I didn't want clean up the mess afterwards either." Even with her sarcasm, she couldn't hide her concern. She didn't know this Zemo, but if he had Cap on edge, then she was worried if Daredevil did fight him. "I think he should have challenged me, but imagine what it would have done to his ego if he got his ass kicked by a girl." Her smile faded as she looked at Zemo to see if her goad would sink in.

"You have insulted the honor of a Zemo and impugned my integrity. This will not stand." A bubble of golden energy encircles Zemo and Man without Fear. "With the power fo this single moonstone, I could crush you like an insect, but I prefer that your humiliation be served honorably, so I will not use its power, save to insure we are not interfered." Zemo takes a classic fencer's stance. "Now, you popinjay, defend yourself!"

"Ah come on. We're really going to let this happen?" She-Hulk says, taking a step forward towards the glowing energy circle.

Tally looks at Tabitha and almost wishes she has telepathy as she makes a motion with her fingers to go look at other things. Realizing that she is right there she bends over and whispers, Why don't you phase us out of here and we go explore?

If she agrees she will use her flight to speed them away.

Tabitha was not happy with what was unfolding and was about to agree with She-Hulk when Tally whispered an idea. She stepped up close to the energy barrier and looked right at Daredevil," You can do this, I have faith in you. Just need you to buy me and Tally a little time. Then you can take me on that date."

She turned with purpose towards Tally , speaking to the senior members of the team , " Don't worry, we'll be back in time for curfew."He took Tally by the hand and then phased the two of them and said. "Lets go see what we can find out Aura."

With that Tally launches the two at top speed towards the center of the Castle escaping hopefully before anyone has time to react.

Catching sight of Tabitha and Aura slinking away, Kitty figures that's as good an idea as any; she didn't have much doubt in Daredevil's abilities, and knew that Logan, She-Hulk and the rest would be able to contribute far more than she could.

With Baron Zemo distracted, Kitty moves towards one of the walls, opposite the direction that Aura and Tabitha went, and phases through to go poking around.

DD "looks" around the energy barrier. He says, "popinjay? Really? Before we begin I have one question. What will this prove? If you beat me, will it mean I was wrong about you having information, or will it just prove I figured out how to push your buttons and goaded you into a fight. If I win, will it mean I was right?"

As he talks DD walks around the sphere up to the edge and flicks it with a finger so he can see how it responds. It will go a long way to determine how much he can do with his billy clubs.

To Spiderman (on the other dimensional version of him):
Logan actually cracks a smirk as he mutters, "If his luck's good, it'll be Spider*woman*, and they'll end up dating. Seems we got stuck with the wrong gender in this universe."

Sighs seeing Zemo getting all worked up, "Zemo, it goes further than first blood, I'm going to have to cut through that field and have words with you."

DD touches the field - it's solid, smooth and likely very tough. Wolverine and She-Hulk both can guess that it would take them a while to get through it.

Tabitha and Tally race through a maze of advanced labs - some of them decades old, using old diodes, vacuum tubes, and ancient machines. There is also a bank of monitors in one room.

Kitty phases through a wall and finds herself face to face with a glass display case with a damaged and ruined Bucky costume. The next case shows a costume you are not familiar with.



There is also a collection of swords and pistols in that room.

Daredevil, Zemo lunges at you with his blade.

Tally drops Tabitha down, "Oh look cool stuff that looks old. It is like one of those moves X-ee showed me that was in black and white. I think it will be cool adn I am going in this here." With that selecting one lab randomly she walks it to see exactly is in there. Even pushing buttons and pulling leavers to see what some of the stuff does.

"Be careful what you go at, Tally. We don't need to accidently turn on some war machine of Zemo's by accident." Tabitha warned as she walked into the monitor room to see what they were all for. "You would think a guy that takes his honor so seriously would want to help deal with an imposter making him look bad, wouldn't you?"

[Dome]

DD side steps Zemo's attack easily (that was a nat1 he rolled right?)

He draws his billy clubs and says, "I guess we are really going to do this then huh?"

He faces off with Zemo and waits for Zemo to make the next move.
