"That's assuming our target runs."Khris pointed out. " Just because they can null my abilities, doesn't mean they don't have other abilities of their own. We need to pick our battlefield for this one and bring them to us. Preferably somewheres in the area that we can see them coming." Khris didn't want to admit it, but he was so used to his powers now that having them blocked was not something he really wanted to do unless he had to.

"Alright," Tiger agrees. "Akane and I will still have martial arts even if other abilities are nullified. Khris, Bel and Jeckle are best with ranged weapons. We'll put the three of you in sniper positions watching the largest street. Dante will wait with the truck and the bikes in case we need to give chase."

"Akane and I will sweep each building as a team. We'll either flush the target into the street of we'll run into the street if they chases us. Remember, we need him or her alive. Use rubber bullets, stun gernades, net guns, or nonleathal shots."

"Hopefully, we can simply make and offer and they accept." Tiger sighs. She has met too many vigilantes to think they would just hand over such an item.

Khris nodded, "No offense, but I'll take the longest shot. Good hunting"he said with a nod and started looking for a fire escape to get him to the roof of one of the taller buildings. He didn't want to tip his hand, even if crawling up the side of the building was more his forte.

Once on the roof, he looked around until he found something the right weight, and 'swapped'it for his Dragunov, immediately removing the magazine and loading one with non leathal rounds. At the same time he sputtered, "This just isn't natural, before taking up his vantage point.

The others get into position with Bel and Jeckle also on rooftops. Khris' building is slightly taller, though he is farthest away he has good sightlines.

Tiger and Akane enter the first building. It takes them nearly a half and hour and they find nothing. Moving on to the next building they are inside for fifteen minutes before again coming up empty.

The third building they aren't gone five minutes before Tiger and Akane scamper into the street.

They stand and stare as a being more than twice their height steps from the garage door on the warehouse. Huge and wide. A rhino horn, long clawed fingers and toes. It studies Tiger and Akane. It is hard to hear, but Tiger tries talkiing to it. Does it understand?

After a time the creature walks towards Tiger and Akane. "Hold fire," Tiger says over her headset. "Let's see if we can make a deal."

Leveling his sniper rifle, Khris heard Tiger but didn't share her optimism. Instead he pulled out a pair of magazines loaded with live ammunition and set them on the ledge he was using for cover out of habit. At the same time, he 'shrouded'himself to prevent any casual notice causing a panic. He then double clicked his mic to acknowledge Tiger

Tiger walks up to the giant creature. "We are working with the United Nations. We are fighting the three Demons. We need the thing you have that negates."

The creature cocked its head and stared down at her. Slowly it shook its head back and forth.

Tiger said, "Please. We really can't win without your help. We are prepared to pay you a great deal of money and I promise it will be returned to you when this is over."

The thing stared at her, then swept back one arm and swung it. Tiger sidestepped neatly. "That wasn't very nice."

The huge being swung its other arm and this time Tiger batted it aside. The creature growled.

"Oh really..." Akane was coming up beside Tiger with a wooden sword out.

"Don't kill it. I still want it alive," Tiger said calmly. The thing went berserk and charged. Each swing or kick Tiger and Akane deftly avoided. There were few martial artists who could keep up with Tiger, but Akane was at least as fast and though most of her moves involved a sword, Akane was quite skilled with it. The wooden blade connected with the creature's elbows and kneecaps causing it to bellow in pain.

Tiger alternately tries tripping the thing and also leaping up to punch it in the face or back of the head for a knockout. Tiger's leaps lack their usual mystic grace, but she can still jump high enough to punch the creature. Eventually, Tiger and Akane bring it down, but it gets right back up again.

"Jeckle!" Tiger yells. A net gun fires. The thing is much too big to be encased in a human sized net, but one arm becomes entangled. The beast starts to claw its way out of the net.

"Don't suppose anyone has enough tranquilizers to bring down a rhinoceros?" Tiger asks.

Khris could see things weren't working out and he aimed for the back of the beast's head. " No tranqs, but I might distract it, or knock some sense into it.

Once he had his shot, he squeezed the trigger on the Dragunov and it's rubber bullets.

Most of the time rubber bullets are ricoched off the ground for crowd control, but Khris' long range and the thing's huge size mean that even the direct hit to the head merely gets its attention. It pauses to resonsider the odds, and starts to flee towards one of the buildings.

Akane and Tiger trip it and attack in tandem. When he swings for one, the other hurries in going for a knockout. While they use quick footwork and parries to keep the giant's strikes at bay.

"Screw this,"Khris sputtered as he pulled back the Dragunov and switched to his AA-12 band was changing positions, "Bel, Jeckle, do what you can to keep him honest from here. Tigger, I'm on my way down and going to go loud. This playing nice isn't cutting it."

He slipped off his sandals and put the big rifle's sling around his shoulder, then crawled up on the ledge so hopefully the target would see him, then took aim, waiting for Tiger and Akane to give him a clear shot, planning to start descending the side of the building once he got his shots off.

Khris doesn't have a clear shot as both Tiger and Akane are acrobatically engaging the creature at close range.

Failing to knock the creauture out, the creature finally lands a solid blow on Tiger that her parry doesn't turn. Knocking her to the ground with its incredible strength it slips inside one of the warehouses.

Akane attempts to follow it.

"Bel! Jeckle! See to Tiger. Akane I need a location!" Khris barked into his commset. He was worried about Tiger, but had to stay on mission like he knew she would want him to. He started to make his way down the building (fire escape, or if none, interior stairwell) and outside, heading the way Akane had gone after it. "Talk to me, Akane."

"He's fast. Headed out the back! I'll- ooph!" Akane says.

[dakota]

"Akane? Akane, talk to me. " Khris said, quickening his pace. " Don't be a hero, just trail him so the rest of us can catch up!"

The inside of the warehouse is filled with junk: wrecked cars, old appliances and construction debris. Khris can feel the absence of his abilities at this range, especially since he would normally be using them.

"He went out the side door," Akane gasps a little winded. "The alley."

Khris hears a motorcycle rev out front. Tiger must be on her feet.
