Marv big head breaks into a smile, "No problem. This stuff isn' really for me." He waves at the medallion. He gets up and follows Khris to where they can talk out of earshot of Rock and Peacemaker, which turns out to be quite far away.
"What have ya got?" Marv says.

Once away from the others, Khris said, "Bosskitty needs me to do something a little... underhanded. You've been around the base more than I have meeting personnel, I need to know who are my best bet for psychics to do a little black ops work, outside our people? I don't know where to start and OS needs to keep a hands off appearance. Any ideas?"

"Yes I have the capacity to negate other people's abilities. It is one of the abilities I had in my repertoire. But not one I relish in the fact that I can use. But sometimes it helps when a powered individual refuses to be healed after all." She says without any hint of anything but the truth of what she can do.

Marv thinks about it a moment. "The Egyptians are still out on their mission looking for, uh, whatever that is. But I know a couple of 'em. When they get back, ah, remind me and I'll introduce you."

Rock tells Katja, "We are using the negation to increase the shield potential. Until we recover the other object with that ability, you could help the pilots train."

"I could help with a lot of things but perhaps we should start with the tasks at hand which are main reason I was brought here. That being my therapist aspect." She says without anything coming across her face at the moment that comes off as emotion.

"No idea, but there is only one way to find out. Now I will have to touch it, but if he holds it first maybe its affect will be focused on him," Dante says.
He lets Rock pick up the device, then walks up and reaches out and puts one finger on the device and tries Object Read.

The object read is more revealing of Rock and Peacemaker's respective personalities than the object itself. Apparently all that is required to turn it on is the will to give up your powers. It doesn't actually work on psionics, magic or on physical training. It can be focused on a single person, which would allow the user to maintain their powers, or blanket an area with negation. However, even when targeting a specific other person, the key to its operation is to wish your own powers away in addition to the other person. The reason it is inert when Rock touches it is because he doesn't wish to give up his strength, and the reason it turns on when Peacemaker touches it is that she does wish to give up her powers.

"No problem, I have to head to Sweden in a bit anyways. Have to see if I can recruit a replacement power armor team." Khris replied. "Either them or might try one of those Gurka borg teams I've heard of, or Ukrainians. Was thinking Turks, but not with Egyptians on the job already." He shrugged, conveying he wasnt sure. " I'll look you up when I get back."

Katja at this point just watches the group and observes not having much input at this time to what is going on.

Dante explains to everyone what he read from the device, "this thing is only going to work if you want it too. You have to be willing to not have powers, that's the only way it will work to block your powers. Rock, I know it may be difficult but you have to be willing to give up your strength if you want to make a better shield."
Dante glances at Katja to see how she reacts to what he reveals about the device.

"A device you have to give of yourself to use. Now that is fascinating. Almost makes me wonder if it is permanent if one wished. If so then if ever I get tired of life, which do not worry I do not have a death wish yet, if so it will be several hundreds of years from now, but that will be of great benefit." She says no emotion attached to what she just said.

Dante raises an eyebrow, "that does raise a good question though Doctor. If someone has a power, like immortality but willingly gives up their powers for using the device, will that mean the end of their life. Not sure that's an experiment we should look to have anytime soon. So Doctor, if someone needs to give up their powers but doesn't want to, how do help them?"

"More then likely no. The way cellular immortality works is like a blueprint of recycling. I am not sure you will understand though but suffice to say my immortality is almost preprogrammed into my genetics to renew instead of continue over the time frame. If I gave it up through some means, and unfortunately that probably is not plausible because of said ties to genetics also affects my brain not wanting to give it up, then I would probably age at the rate when it was left off. But being killed would actually do just that." She says to Dante.

Peacemaker takes the medallion from Rock. "I'll give this to Merrow," Peacemaker says. "Dancer can turn her powers off. Katja can negate mine and the three of us can practice."
She tosses the medallion into the pool where Merrow is swimming. Then she nods to Katja and says, "Do it."
Marv shuffles over, and Roan too as it is time for lessons to begin. Marv, Roan and Lt. White are famous martial arts instructors whose students learned in record time. However, Dancer and Peacemaker won't learn as quickly without their powers. While Dancer is able to replicate any martial arts move flawlessly when transformed, her ordinary self learns more slowly. Roan has been drilling her for days, but now it is Peacemaker's turn to learn from Roan and Marv takes over.
"Show me what ya got kid," Marv says to Dancer. First he has her practice all the aikido moves she learned from Roan. Marv doesn't particularly try very hard at this point. After all, Dancer's attacks hit him with the strength of a ballerina, not the brillant martial arts moves of her alter ego. She lands a few attacks, but it is clear Marv ignored them because they were poorly executed rather than being incapable of countering them. But he seems to have a special rapport with Dancer, coaching her relentlessly until each move is functional and then teaching her more.
Peacemaker closes eyes and mentally prepares herself to lose her powers. Unlike Dancer, her martial arts training isn't the result of a supernatural ability. She still remembers every move Roan has taught her and while her senses are deadend and not as powerful as she was she is still quick and fit. She and Roan will practice Aikido, sparring. Roan silently using her mental communication to instruct Peacemaker.
