Oh, and do we start at L1, considering my fella has 2 years as an army medic, 4 years premed, 4 years med, concurrent master's program, 1 year intern, 4 years gen surg residency, 2 years trauma fellowship and probably another year in a trauma ortho fellowship? Some serious time at probably Ivy League or USC grade institutions? Rotations at Cedars?
L1's cool, and I'll defer to your judgment. Just thinking we're looking at a 36 year old (minimum) bloke, that has likely been practicing for 3-4 years. Most likely, he is closer to 40. He's married and established at this point in his life, not an intern or a resident.

I look forward to see what you two are cooking up.
Everyone is starting out at level one. If you go with the Apocalypse Soldier, L1. However, if you go with Survivor: Medical Doctor, you start at L1 but you can roll a 1d4 for your Occupational skills only. That's was his level of experience before Z-Day kicked off. Your Elective and Secondary skills start at level one (p. 86 DR).
Are for the zombies out and about in the hot Arizona days, they're usually sizzling in the middle of the street like bacon. ;p

Naw, I think I like the soulja better. It fits his background. I'll accept that he spent about 20 years of his life in acadamia, and has a good amount of theory, but little real practice.

Can I at least appeal for a few more secondaries? I promise nothing dumb, like pilot F/A-18 or WP Scud missile. With the limits imposed here, according to the book, he has two secondaries, and all his other skills are either WP's, soldier skills, or doctor skills. I know he's spent his life in school, but damn, my boy needs some hobbies and some color. The damn book gave me two secondaries, which is like, "You have no life but what your job might be!" He's a more interesting character than his just his job! I feel like I can justify it by writing a comprehensive background, if that will help.

If you're looking to add some color to your character I'll let you bump the number of Secondary skills you start with up to 5.
The rest of you are welcome to take advantage of this.

If your still looking for a fourth player I wouldn't mind playing. I'm new to the site. But I'm experienced with the Palladium system, and have been in two successful Dead Reign campaigns. But if I am able to join I'd probably play a Shepard, or a Sentinel. Since I've already played a Soldier. XD

If any Dead Reign/Walking Dead fans are on Facebook, I am running a Walking Dead style Dead Reign game on Facebook. I currently have 5 active players and 3 npcs (2 of which were players but are temporarily on auto-pilot due to real life). We aim for 2 posts a week but lately the group has been moving a little faster than that. The group is currently on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Since I have players who do not have Palladium books or have never gamed before, everyone is playing random pre-made characters. So getting into the game is a very swift process.
