I'm interested in running a Dead Reign campaign and I'm looking to see who all might be interested in playing. I've got in mind to start with minimum of four players, maxing out the group at seven.
I've already got one person on the line who wants to play. Anyone else who is interested, please post here.
Thanks.

Great. I've got three on the hook. Who else wants to take a shot at surviving the zombie apocalypse?
Just need one more and the blessing of the powers that be to get this show started.

Since Mierin is one of the Admins, you don't need my blessing, but we're always open to new games. I'd take the fourth spot myself if I didn't have too much on my plate already. Best of luck though

I'll be your third member (already mentioned). Let the nibbling hordes begin.

What sort of characters are you looking for? I'm usually a soldier, so I kind of think I might like to do something different. Maybe a surgeon or something.

Mierin: I'll let you know when to set that up. I'm gonna make a post on the Palladium forums to drum up some interest for the game. I'll PM before the end of the weekend.
Tori: The zombies have no preference, each taste just as good. But seriously, my advice is to play whatever makes you happy. I know Foxx is going to be playing a Wheelman OCC from ENDLESS DEAD (DRSB 3). An Apocalypse Soldier or a medical doctor are both fine choices.
For future reference, there are no restrictions on classes from the DR books. For giggles, if you have access to the Systems Failure game, I'm willing to allow some of the classes out of it (NO NORAD Psychic or NORAD Splicer). I'll work with you to adjust the character to DR, but you have to own the book to play the character.

what about that mutant animal idea I wanted to run after the first book came out? Still viable? It was a cat mutant too.

You'd have to refresh my memory on that one Foxx, I"m afraid I don't remember it.
All the same, I'd like to keep it humans vs the undead plus other nightmares. Mutants are fun but they don't have a place in this game.

Dr. Justin Bernstein, shock-trauma surgeon. "Ordinary people" OCC from the DR main book, medical doctor, with a double MD for a plus 10 to diagnosis and surgery. H2H basic, maybe skill with a handgun and either rifle or shotgun, certainly a pogue. Ivy league, has a Jaguar. Not that a Jag is worth much now, but he barters health care for necessities. I think my character and Mierin's might be standing friends.

I think he may be an ex-IDF medic before he returned to America for school. Could you tell us a little about the setting? Where and when would be helpful. Will we be starting with the apocalypse, not long after, or 28 days, weeks or months later? How much IC would we know about "them?"
If you haven't figured it out by now, I am a massive zombie film/show nerd, and am uber-excited to play.

Here's what I got mind as far as the start.
Six months ago, the world fell to the Zombie Apocalypse.
By providence, by skill, or by sheer luck, you all now find yourselves in a small safe haven camp along with fifty other survivors tucked away in rural southern Arizona.
Your story starts forty-eight hours after your characters have found their way into the camp.
Tori: Unless you got your heart set otherwise, you could take a look at the Medic M.O.S. for Apocalypse Soldier: better training, better starting equipment. Of course, there's room for a squishy family doctor too.

I was vacillating between the two. Given his IDF experience, I certainly see him as more the soldier, but wanted to make sure he wasn't too soldier, and too little civilian. He has patrician hobbies like cooking and quail and pheasant hunting. Maybe he's in a homebrew club. IF I have enough skills, I could see him slooping around on a lake.
I'm thinking his parents were killed in a wreck when he was young. He was likely raised by grandparents, one fought his way out of the Warsaw Ghetto, the other a Holocaust survivor. They died when he was in his teens, hence his immigration to Israel and subsequent compulsory military service as a medic. Maybe he saved a honcho, and said honcho paid his way through school.
Mierin and I are working on a pretty good mutual background. We have a compelling story that can be worked into the game at some point, at your discretion. I think when all is said and done, you'll be pleased with our little tandem.
BTW, do zombies get sunburn, heat stroke, dehydration?
