Chapter 68: Now to get outta here! (Team)

Long smells the good food cooking and springs out of bed. Bright and chipper, he feels great to greet the new day. He walks over to Trevor and gives him a little shake if necessary.
"Good morning, sleepyhead. Smells like to the whole group is in the kitchen already cooking up a feast. Come on. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And I also need to check if December is back yet."

[Dome]

Isamu hugs Ashley, and returns the kiss. "Ah Dylin. I will have to speak with him. Yesterday, many things happened."

He steps back and looks at her, "I am not upset Ashley. Surprised, perhaps slightly hurt that you felt you did not feel comfortable telling me you still had some."

He motions to the console he had been sleeping at, "truthfully I saw you talking towards the ceiling, I was concerned you were calling out for help. After what happened before, I did not know if my presence would once again exacerbate the problem. Therefore I thought to check first. It took me some time to get the audio turned on, and I only heard some of what you were saying. I realized it was a prayer. Ashley, what did you mean?"

Deci gets up after sleeping like the dead for the first time in a little while. As such she opens the door and asks as Ryne is there, "Is everything ok Ryne?" Being clean and dressed in (crap all she has there is the stuff from the shopping trip) one of the bar ready outfits that were picked up.

Tom smiles. "Not at all. I just don't want anything dulling the moment for either of us." as he pulls Beth in closer for a kiss.

In regard to Mac's comment about her augments not stopping her from bleeding to death, "What can i say, they did more to up my cup size then they did with my ability heal grievous injury."

Sara rolls her head to face Sio as she sits down and nods to her

"Good morning too you. Don't worry, everybody that's got an axe to grind with this team will be introducing themselves eventually." Sara lets out a playful snort. "With extreme prejudice."

Sara gets up from her resting spot and helps herself to everything, only twice over. She was hungry enough to eat a horse and part of the rider. Once she's back down in a seat and eating, after swallowing a large bite, asks, "So what have I been missing lately? I hear the mayor is still above ground and causing trouble."

"Not at all, Siobhan," Mac smiled as he took off his apron," I merely figured out early that people respond first thing in the morning much better if they are filling their bellies at the same time. Sara, it's good to have you back, but you'll have to get an update from one of the others. I've been in and out most of the time trying to set up the two western teams. That's why I'm here, Ryne, Janie and Dmitri are relocating to help."



Ryne looked at Deci and shook his head," Just wanted to say goodbye, kiddo. And make sure you're going to be okay." He smiled. "You are going to behave and stay put this time, right?"


A groan escaped and a pillow sailed (strike )for Long's head as the covers pulled over Trevor's head," "So go. I'm a guest so I don't need morning briefings."


Beth snuggled in, pressing up against Tom and wrapping her arms around his neck, without breaking the kiss. Between breaths, she mumbled," Do you want breakfast, or something else?"


"I'm sorry Isamu, but it was an emergency stash. I hope Alice isn't upset she got affected too." She looked at the floor for a moment," You saw me praying? I just wanted the moon to pass. It's never good, but this was really bad for some reason. I hope it isn't a sign of things to come."

"I'll have whatever you're having." is Tom's reply

Deci's face turns from one of sorrow full goodbye to shock in awe that he would even suggest that after what she went through. She bites her sadness and pride though in favour of at least treating this as a good bye and not to ruin the moment more then she has. As such although it still probably carries in her voice a bit (he would be able to tell she is really trying or struggling) she turns to him, "Goodbye."

Alice wakes up the next morning glad that Jason didn't seem to be having the nightmares he was having before. She doesn't wake Jason up if he is still sleeping and quickly showers before heading downstairs to get something to eat. As she gets herself a cup of tea, Alice introduces herself to anyone she doesn't recognize and gets herself some food to eat as people come into the kitchen, thanking Mac and Sierra for preparing the meal.

[Dome]

Isamu reaches up and touches Ashley's lips with one finger, "Shh, my love, you do not need to apologize to me. Just please in the future know you can trust me with things like this. I love you and will do anything for you. Together we can get through any situation," he says as he reaches up and moves some hair behind her ear before leaning in and kissing her lips.

After a brief kiss, "I am sorry for your distress my love. I have been thinking, perhaps it is time to leave things here to Alice and take a break together. The stress of everything seems to be weighing on me greatly. Did the symbiote you lost return to you as you said it would," he asks as he walks towards the table to collect the folders and information that he had been looking for last night.

Sio shifts in her seat after taking a couple of bites of what is a surprisingly tasty repast, then offers Sara a quick smile. "You're at least looking a lot better than you did last night... you gave me quite the shock appearing at the door like that." she replies, drawing in a deep breath. "And hey, nothing wrong with an improved cup-size hrm?" she asks, offering Sara a winks and a grin. As MacColter chimes in, Sio turns her attentions back to him and nods.

"I suppose that is true, sir. I do have to wonder though... is this cushioning us for some sort of bad news?"

"Bad news is so bad for the digestion." Sara mumbles, cleaning off her plate. To Sio, she says, "I do a lot of surprising things. Work for Wraith for example, then abandoning him to work with this group. Then running off from said group to work on my blooming relationship with my nemisis.

Sara rinses off the plate and refills her coffee, sipping with little indication of its heat.

[dakota]

"We probably should, but," Beth smiled wickedly as her head slid under the covers and Tom suddenly found himself in intense pleasure. Ten minutes later, Beth slid back up from under the covers, wiping at the corner of the mouth. " There, I guess we can go get some breakfast now." She smiled, kissing Tom's cheek.

Ryne looked at Deci, and then drew her into his massive arm in a loving embrace, " It's not that bad. You'll be able to call me from the war room any time you want. And the others aren't that bad if you give them a chance. I know you're still pissed at Isamu, but think about what he's going through too with Ashley and being new at being in charge. Talk to Alice if you can't go to him, or anybody around here. Hell, you want straight answers, corner Jason and talk, but be warned it will hurt your head later." He smirked.

MacColter looked at Siobhan and Sara in suprise," You think I'm softening you up for bad news?" He laughed. " On the contrary. I actually have a little good news once everyone is here. Deth and his cronies are safely in Gramercy as we speak, and hopefully with the brother's testimony, they will stay there a long time. Raig and Panek are turning state's witness." He looked at Alice and winked, " A certain future brother in law agreed to help with witness protection."

A shreik came from up the stairs and Jason can wizzing down the stairs with a look of fear. "Honey," he said, stopping behind Alice," you gotta believe me, I thought it was you."

A moment later Dmitri stalked into the kitchen," What the hell were you doing in the shower with Janie?" he demanded

Mac burst out laughing.

"A vacation?" Ashley's face lit up. " That would be so nice. We...," she took his hands in hers, " Isamu, how would you feel about going to meet my family? In person they may be more receptive and once Mom sees how happy we are together, she'll convince Dad. Please? Don't worry about my symbiotes, the others don't seem concerned, so it must be normal."

[Dome]

Isamu smiles, "that sounds wonderful Ashley. I am glad you want to. I had no idea where we should go. I just know I need to get away."

He motions to a chair, "there is something else," he says as he sits down, "we found December when we raided Deth's lair. From her statement it seems she had a very difficult time. Please do not speak of this, but it seems she was nearly sexually assaulted. I feel I need to speak with her before we go anywhere. I drove her out. She was alone in that building do to me, I think I have to be the one that asks her to stay. I think she needs to be here, and to feel needed," he says. Ashley would recognize the guilty tone in his voice, it was the same one he had last night when she said her symbiotes were angrier because of him.

"Not so fast." Tom grabs her and drags her back into bed. "They can wait a little longer."
