Janxi doesn't have to wait long before Takota comes trotting back to the landing pad fully armored up in his well worn but still perfectly good deadboy armor and armed with the somewhat bulky CI-404 in hand, a JA-12 slung over one shoulder and the always handy NG-45 on one hip.
When he reaches the Skyhawk the leopard climbs in and finds himself a good place to sit where he can hopefully keep an eye on what is going outside as they fly. "I am still gonna miss having something that goes boom instead of just these light throwers." Takota complains as he settles in his seat.

Tori strapped in and looked to Sam. "I ain't fergotten what happened last time. He nearly bled to death whiles we was in tha storm and surrounded by raptors. I kin patch people up, but I ain't a surgeon like tha pogue. Is he fit make tha hump or no?"

Regarding Janxi question, Kain answers, "Seems like I've been in the military my whole life, but I've been active for five years; two and a half which was special forces training and the rest running with teams fighting in the war again Tolkeen. So I've seen some action."
Which was an understatement considering anything that happen in that particular war. Being twenty-five now, he almost literally spent a lot of his young adult life training and fighting. Excluding his time spent on the FARM.
"I don't know. I'd like to keep a railgun on hand, just in case." Kain said, breaking down his rifle to check over one more time. "For those unforeseen circumstances."
Kain was just making conversation at this point. The gear layout was enough to take out most anything that cross their path. If everything went right with this OP, they would be sending in missiles to take out the target. All they had to do was find it.
He gives a nod to Takota as he boards the bird, closing up the rifle and sitting back relaxing.

Takota returns the human's nod with a slight bow of his head then gives a sniff in Kain's direction. "Is this a new friend of yours or do we get to eat him?" he asks the other two cats while eyeing Kain with that 'see through your soul' stare snow leopards are so very good at. Of course it is a joke but Takota tries to be as serious as possible.

The stare didn't bother Kain, he seen more soul wrenching things on both sides of the uniform to let a stare faze him.
"Don't worry kitties, I got plenty of tube steak for ya to choke down." Kain says, using his rife grenade launcher in a non-overt, suggestive way. He smirks before putting the weapon right and looking out the door to see what is what outside.

Once loaded, the Skyhawk took off low over the base before arcing around to head for the LZ. Shep was quiet and distant, sitting on his bucket and watching out past the door gunner over the treetops.Det was closest to the XO, and kept a close watch on him while they flew.
Scope on the other hand had flopped down amongst the cats, across fromKain and smiled," Don't let them get to you. I only met them last night, and I already like having so much pussy to count on." He laughed.

Tori giggled in spite of herself. "Maybe he's a snagglepuss an' was talkin' to yew, Scope!"
The little cat didn't mind crude talk from grunts. In fact, she came to expect it. "Be glad Janxi got her shot. Talkin dirty like that Scope? Yew might have to see what a battle cat wif retard strength could do to break in a new colt..." She used her feline flexibility to arch her back in what would be a painful way to a human.

When the stare is met with a casual acceptance Takota, other than his ears splaying slightly, does well hiding his disappointment. He was hoping the human would be more apt to having a bit of fun. He decides to keep his joking with Scope and Det since, despite the somewhat rocky greeting the previous night, they seemed to enjoy such things.
For the moment though Takota just rests his head against the backrest and closes his eyes listening to the various sounds around him.

"You going to be in a funk the whole mission, Shep?" Det asked, flipping up his face shield.
" Don't worry about me, kiddo. Just keep your ass in one piece this time, you're too heavy to carry out now."
Scope chuckled," He's got you there. Tori, no offense, I'll pass. I'm into redheads." He smirked. He looked at Kain, then smirked towards Sam, " Cap, since I'm not the noob anymore, do I still have to be RTO?"

Janxi's ears flattened, her whiskers pulled back and her tail gave an annoyed swish. Just because she and Tori had saved him four times, didn't mean there would be a fifth if "Cats, shut up," continued.
She shot Tori a loaded glance, before pulling her cover over her eyes and beginning an after-breakfast snooze. Her head resting on Takota's shoulder. She slept quietly, not knowing or anymore caring when they touched down.

Saving Shep's life on multiple occasions earned her a certain break from protocol and the right to speak frankly, especially when a proven team member got disrespected. "Don't forget it was J-Cat herself that got yew outta tha frog's mouf..."
Janxi had the right idea, though. This would probably be the last chance for a nap before the shit hit the fan. She covered her eyes with the boonie and her chest began to rise and fall at regular intervals.
