Hearing they had close competition, MJ glanced up at the viewports. She had heard the stories about the Pooh Jihad, and it worried her more than a little.
Her attention dropped back to her panels (read sensory equipment [dice=100] ) and she called out her readings to Flip nervously.[rand=80062607670037226949599880670816584180334921181818711328886889106]

In the cargo bay Mengsk readied for the Zero G and to go to the sat. He knew if it wasn't safe He'd need to work fast and get clear or deactivate the sat to prevents explosion...somehow.

OOC: Wicked!
On the bridge
Despite all the distractions, Foreman pulled off a move that, by all rights, should not have been possible.
It wasn't all successful, however. The spin required to capture the satellite was wreaking havoc on their eyes, and sense of balance - vertigo acometh!
McKenna didn't notice anything wrong in her sensors.
In the hold
If it was possible, Tawfeek was almost about the sweat bricks as he saw the satellite barelling towards them, only to get safely scooped in.
He simply watched it, floating in the hold. He didn't notice the red flashing lights.

OOC: Its a maneuver I used to do with throttle and joystick combination and in a space sim I used to play, and thought it could work here.
Foreman says into the still open comm system, "SOMEONE TALK TO ME DOWN THERE! IS THE THING SECURED?"

"We have it in here.." Mengsk called, "nice and safe. Checking damage on it now." he secured it best he could and slowly but steadily had gravity returned once it was secured on the winch. Now that was slick. probably looked nice too from afar. "closing doors now.."
With an expert eye and quick but professional scan, Mengsk looked for any danger signs then would proceed to check if the core had any unlisted fail safes or other damage that may cause problems. then once deemed safe he could see if the salvage was worth more intact than as components.
"I would not recommend removing that suit yet in here..just in case this thing is radioactive. we have no idea what kind kill switch blast arc put in it." the scans hopefully were good.

The wild maneuver and the subsequent chaos it caused on her control panel caused McKenna to suddenly feel queasy. Her one hand went over her mouth out of instinct and she mumbled, " I think I'm gonna be sick " before closing her eyes and hoping it was soon over.

Flip smiles and then mutters, "sorry about that MJ, it isn't going to get much better though."
He toggles the comms back on, "OK everyone hold on, going to get the hell out of dodge."
Knowing the satt is secured, he pushes the throttles on the big tug to full and tried to figure a way out of the system, "MJ where is the Pooh," he asks as he looks at his sensors to make sure no ship is in front of him as he pushes the Galaxy forward.

"Oh, I'm gonna need a bucket..." McKenna trailed off as she gulped hard and breathed deeply in hopes her stomach would stop heaving at the wild maneuvers. Looking at her monitor, ( read sen equip [dice=100]/ fail ), she answered " It's right there, [GM insert other ship's wrong location]"[rand=6633313839997674673526027680559894993573960127814685299137653596]

"Could use a set of eyes on the power core and radiation readings. It has been in space and could have any number of radiation traces on it." he looked briefly over his shoulder at the others in the room.
Mengsk kept at the scans but felt he missed something somewhere..

Jessica replies to mengsk and says "I'll keep an eye out on that."

In the cargo hold
Mensk Quickly determined that the innerds were more or less slagged. And not exploded, burned out, over-used, intoxicated or self-destructed. More like melted.
While he was coming to this conclusion, Jessica noticed the radiation detector on Mensk's suit was in the danger zone. As a matter of fact, so was Tawfeek's. As a matter of fact, so was hers. It would explain the flashing red lights, certainly.
Tawfeek was watching the hold doors close safely.
On the bridge
The whooping of the radiation alarms weren't the most fun, but an imaginative mind would easily use them explain why their trajectory (the one that had them following the satellite) pointed them towards the sun.
To be fair, though, they were still several days away, so it's not like the sun was their problem.
The radiation in the hold was.

"the kill switched worked. Slagged the internals...Melted them." he responded looking for a fire extinguisher to spray it and cool it down, "looks like a mass over heat..might be able to sell it as fissionable if the rads are right with a little looking I may have some use for it in the power core." Mengsk confirmed.

"Flip, what's that alarm for?" McKenna asked, trying to focus to forget her urges to vomit. " What's going on? Is the pirate ship that close"

Noting the radiation meters, Jessica quickly tells Tawfeek, "We have a problem, Captain. The radiation detector for yoruself, Mensk and my suits are all in the danger zone. It would appear we have a huge amount of radiation in the hold."

In the hold
Tawfeek looked at Jessica, Mensk and then his eyes paused on the satellite. "Oh, for the love of..."
Without much notice, the doors were opening again, and Tawfeek was loosening the satellite from his ship.
"Mensk, if you value your life, get off the satellite, now," He barked, even as the hulk was moving outside the ship.
"Foreman, which way are we headed?"He added, over the comm. "I need a route to the sun."
"A bomb. A damn bomb, floating in space," He hissed. Followed by something none too polite in Arabic.
On the bridge
Even as McKenna asked her question, a very unhappy Tawfeek burst out of the speakers. "Foreman, which way are we headed? I need a route to the sun."
As the speaker switched off, Tawfeek was grumbling about a bomb.
