Your characters have spent the last 2 weeks traveling to this place deep in the old kingdom mountains, the last 3 days of it almost straight up to come to this point, as the you look around you see over 60 people half like yourselves, young enough to be students the other older perhaps teachers perhaps just family seeing off their children.
The road you have traversed to get to this point came from ether The Eastern Territories, The old kingdom or Timiro Kingdom, but not matter which path and brought you here you see the same thing, a dozen or so small group talking in a large open plateau, only the three paths mentioned before leave this area. Everything out side of the plateau is thickly held but a white grey fog.
Each character can see the other not part of any one group and not yet talking. (Open actions and character introductions and players see fit)

Cecile knows this is probably the end of the line for the carriage and now is the time for her to traverse the rest of the way on foot. She was warned this would happen and was even given a pass for a clear ride to the academy but realized that she did not want to be viewed as that different to her classmates despite her disadvantage.
As such as she gets up she grabs her walking/guide stick along with the one bag and hops out of the carriage even as the man opens it for her to help her out. Following the last instruction she turns to him, "Thank-you very much. I will be fine from here." And offers the tip.
Then without activating her ability yet she starts the walk to catch up with those that would be in her class.

Thay sighed in relief as he finally made it up the mountains to the school grounds, his work horse in tow and his clothes ripped and torn from the long journey. It had not been an easy trip for the young Elf, his last piece of gold was spent long ago on a loaf of bread for him and his horse to share, just enough to keep the threat of starvation away, but no where near enough to fill either.
As he approached, Thay made sure his quiver and bow were still strapped to his back and his clothes covered what they needed to before he stepped up to the crowd, and frowned. Many of the people here looked well off, wearing clothes that seemed to be worth more then his horse. Still, he was not going to let that get him down, he put on a smile and tried to look positive.

D'fel was not happy. The chances to travel were few and far between, but to arrive in a place with so many new faces and so in the open worried him. He hung well back even if beckoned to do otherwise, and kept his cloak drawn tight and his hood pulled forward so no glimpses were caught of him. The fact he needed to ride a work horse drew more attention than he liked even if he did enjoy to ride. Once things were settled, he and Father needed to have a long discussion why he had been encouraged to come along.

Falbera closed in on her destination. As she did and the crowd began to thicken she self consciously pulled the cloak she was wearing further down over her head. She didn't understand why her parents insisted she come to this school. She wanted adventure, not schooling. She thought she had made that clear. Unfortunately her father had made it clear the only way she would be given the family battle axe was to attend this school.
She didn't know how long she would be able to handle sitting in class learning from books when she could instead be out in the real world learning the way her ancestors did, by doing.
She glanced around and continued moving forward. She wasn't looking for friends, as most people she met usually cringed when they first saw her face, so she didn't have many to begin with.

The multiple interactions stop abruptly when a load ring like a gong the size of an elephant sounds from somewhere in the fog, a murmuring starts up some complaining about the load boom others just trying to understand where it came from, but before it grew too much the fog split, parting like man cleaved by a great sword, displaying a new path out into the fog, a large powerful voice booms “Thank you for coming to the Ashara Academy” a small pause “My name is Busch Ronsen the master of unarmed combat, students who wish to proceed my came forward now” After giving the students a few moments to gather at the new path the voice continued “For the rest of you who are gathered today, those selling goods may linger here and will be attended to shortly. For those seeing off friend, family or students please take your leave now.” A voice of one of the students gathered says quietly “Anyone else realize that Master Ronsen is speaking in Northern?” All characters and everyone else present heard the man speak in their own native tongue Master Ronsen’s voice starts again “Student please come forward, Bring only what you can carry walk the path to your destiny or death”
After a few hundred yards the fog clears allowing the students to see more than just the path and the two or student ahead of them, but what they know say was unbelievable to both side of the path a drop of hundreds of feet, directly ahead the path narrowed so they had to go single file, but beyond that set into the side of the mountain was a strong hold that looked to be made out of gems, the roofs green like emeralds, the walls out of diamond and the ruby red draw bridge. (Open actions and character to speak to each other)

D'fel heard the booming voice and continued to hold his place off to the side. So this is what Father spoke to the others about when he mentioned time for a new class he thought as he cast a sideways glance towards the crowd. None gathered had seemed to pay any attention to him, which eased his concerns greatly.
He merely sat on his mount, gently patting the workhorse's neck while he waited for Father to give him some direction. He knew it would come after the students were ushered inside.

Falbera hitched her pack up higher on her shoulder and begins to move to join the students. As the crowd closes in she again pulls her hood down to hide her pock marked face. She falls in line, and follows along as the mass of students turn into a single file line on the path to whatever lay ahead.
She didn't have as much as some of the students she could see around her, but she also noticed that she had did have much more than others.
Nearing the narrow path with the steep dropoff's, she pauses only long enough to reach back and allow her fingers to run over the carved handle of the Dedukr Family battle axe strapped to her back. Remembering her resolve to bring the family honor and one day find the adventure she so desperately wishes to be a part of, she pushes ahead toward the narrow path.

Cecile continues to walk down the path still not wanting to use her powers psychic sight. As such she walks up to any of the students here. (Random selection...oooohhhh) Walking up to the one student closest to her (D;fal) and actually accidentally bumping him with her staff. "Oh I am sorry."

D'fel was caught off guard by the student that came up and actually bumped into his horse. He swallowed, scared to repond for fear of reaction that might draw attention. He calmed his mount with a reassuring pat and anserwed, careful to look away so his face could not be seen. " It is no problem. You should be going with the others I think, not way over here."

Thay jumped a bit at the sound of the lound Gong but otherwise did not react. He had been expecting some displays of power so when the fog split he only smiled and shook his head.
When the teacher calls for everyone to come forward, he does so, bringing his horse in tow with him as he waits to get to the back of the line.

"Oh. If you are not one of the students I apologize. If that is the case though would you spin me to the right way. Or guide you over. If you are a student though, I am pleased to make your acquaintance. Either way, if you can point me to where I should go, I would be most obliged." She says to the being in front of her noting the hesitation but not sure why.

D'fel was a bit unnerved. " No, not a student. Father thought I should come along. He is ....," He paused, " You should be going with others, that way." He pointed towards the other students moving away.

Cecile, confused by this beings speech. "What way are you meaning. You know what, can you just take me over to the area or spin me in the right direction. I mean I am sorry but if you had not guessed from the way I am walking around, but I do not have sight. I have the means to see for a time but as I was taught it is better not to use that unless it is important. So please kind sire if you would help me in the little bit I would be so very much obliged."

Falbera waited at the back of the group of students that were preparing to head down the narrow path. She continually allowed other students to push ahead of her and go first if they so desired. She wasn't nervous of the walk that lay ahead of her, however she thought that the more that students were ahead of her, the less likely they would be able to see her less than comely appearance. Once again her mind drifts to the same though she has had repeatedly over the years of her young life, 'why did my face not develop with the rest of my body.'
